Good morning. Tis another gray day, but at least it is not super cold. The good part is that we did get a bit of rain yesterday. It was just a light rain during the day, and a little bit more during the night. All the while, my aches were slowly disappearing.
For some reason, I'm the opposite of most folks with arthritis who hurt when it rains. I ache when the rain is coming, and then my aches go away once the rain gets here. This is probably one good reason why I don't mind a rainy day.
Even though yesterday was a pretty good day, I still was not up to driving to the market or the Post Office. When Joe came home from work, he went to the store for me. Thank you, Joe. He picked up the one thing that I needed to finish packing up two of my boxes. Today I will get those boxes ready for mailing, and he will take them to the Post Office. Well, I'll go too, but Joe will carry the boxes.
Guess what?? Yesterday I got my first Christmas card. It was from my friend Evelyn. We first met many years ago when I had my ceramics shop. She was one of the first folks to sign up for classes. She was very talented though, so I think she came to classes to meet people and have fun. And I must say, we did have a lot of fun. Merry Christmas Evie!
Sad to say, I have not been out very often this year to take photographs. I'm hoping to remedy this once the new year gets here. I did, however, pull some photos from my archives to share. We have a couple Amaryllis plants growing out in the house, but none are ready to bloom. These two blooms are from a few years ago.
I also dug out a photo of my precious little Pogo, all curled up in his bed. This was his first winter here with me. Look how tiny he is! He barely fills the corner of his bed. When he first got here, he only weighed three pounds. It took a while, but we have fattened him up to his current five pounds. Now honestly, doesn't this just tug at your heart strings?
Now I really must get busy and finish packing these boxes. I want to get the bulk of everything out of here later today. So, till tomorrow, Y'all have an awesome day.
Hugs, Edna B.

Awww Edna,
Pogo was so tiny. Just an itty bitty tiny baby. I remember when I could hold Cisco in the palm of my hand and my hands are not very big. He was not even weaned from his mama yet but Laurie and chosen him and they were moving to Nevada from Texas so she had to bring him and a baby bottle. I can still remember the first time I fed him. His brown eyes looking up at me and baby (doggie) formula dripping down his little mouth. It didn't take him long to learn to eat tho. I know he is a picky eater but he is getting all he needs from his fur mama. I know you make sure of it.
We will check the mail on the way out and I know I will have your card waiting for me, so a Thank You in advance. The weather has been rainy here so I will send out my cards today as we check our mail. We might get snow and sleet mix tonight. I know that the Hill country will for sure. Not so sure if it will get to us but we are further North of the city than we were so it is possible. It is cold here today.
Have an awesome day my friend and I will chat with you soon. Hugs xxx Beth
