I'm Needing A Bit Of Rain

December 5, 2017

Good morning.  It's cloudy today, and the temperature is 39F degrees.  In a few hours it should rise to around 51F degrees.  I'm trying to scrounge up the energy to go shopping for a few grocery items.  I'm not sure if I'll make it, but we'll see how the morning goes.

Yesterday was just not a very good day.  My breathing was not very good, and every joint on my body hurt like the dickens.  This went on all day and all night.  I was so hoping that it would start pouring rain so that all the aches would go away.  So far, there is no rain, but today is a little bit better.

Pogo has been out of sorts lately too.  He hasn't been eating, no matter what I gave him.  Finally, last night around midnight, he ate some chicken.  Yeaaaah, that makes me feel a bit better.

Yesterday, Pogo and I gave the mailman his afghan.  And yes, he liked it!  It makes you feel good when folks like the things that you make.  Here's a photo of the colors I'm working with now.  They are Berry Multi, Posey and Cranberry.

While I'm working on this afghan, I'll probably make a few more little red baby hats.  After all, February is right around the corner.  And, pretty soon I'll be picking out some yarn to pack in my suitcase for a project to work on while I'm in Florida.

Speaking of Florida, I spent a couple hours on the phone the other day securing plane reservations for Pogo and me.  We go the beginning of March.  Once we get to the beginning of the new year, it won't be very long before it is March.  I even treated myself to a new suitcase to take with me.  My old one is beginning to look a bit shabby.

This year, I have to decide whether to take my walker or Pogo's stroller.  There's a basket on the walker that Pogo sits in.  However, it might not be so easy to take it on the plane.  Ah well, I have time to make that decision.

Here's a photo I took of Pogo a few days ago while he was playing hide and seek on the sofa with his fuzzy blanket.  Gosh, he's getting so shaggy, but on him it is cute.

The mail truck went down the street about an hour ago, and Pogo has been sitting by the door waiting for it to come back up our side of the street.  It's the only white truck that he doesn't mind seeing.  Any other white truck, van or trailer really upsets Pogo.  I'm thinking that it must be something from his past.

Well, that's about all my news.  I have to get busy and get a couple boxes ready to be taken to the Post Office.  Whatever I can't get out today will have to go out tomorrow.  After that, I can breathe easy.

Now I think I'll make a fresh cup of coffee and get this day started.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hello Edna,
I totally love the colors of the new afghan your making. What beautiful colors. Someone will be very lucky to snuggle up into that when the time comes.

Pogo is too cute. I love the shaggy look. It will help keep him warmer this winter. Maybe a new hair cut for Florida. I haven't decided if I will get one or let mine grow. It is already down to my shoulders but I know that it will be cooler this summer with it short or at least shorter.

I did get a few hours of sleep. I was just thing of getting up when you called. I was laying there deciding if I wanted to get up or not. I was just getting up when the phone rang. I enjoy our calls. Not sure about the phone. Patsy and I had that problem 5 times yesterday. I could hear you just fine. You just couldn't hear me.

Time to look for something to eat. I had a very tasty breakfast this morning So just a quick bite for the rest of the day until dinner time. I think some cheese and grapes will tide me over. I do not like these new cracker/chips that are on my diet. I will just skip those. Cisco eats anything but even he turns his nose up at them lol.

I had a horrible headache all evening and all night. I can feel it starting to hurt again at the back of my head and neck. I hope that it is not as wicked as it was last night.
Talk to you soon my friend... xxx Give Pogo lots of cuddles and kisses from me and Pogo sends his usual tail wagging and sniffs and a paws up... Hugs, Beth and Cisco... xoxo
