Good morning. I had a fairly sleepless night, so I'll probably have me a short nap after I finish this post. Somehow I had thought that today was going to be a bit warmer, but so far I don't see it happening here.
Right now it is 22F degrees, and working its way up to about 36F around 4 p.m. today. Sad to say, that's about the time of day that the temperature starts to drop back down. The weather forecast calls for some warmer temps for tomorrow and then low to mid 50's for Thursday and Friday, with rain of course.
Have any of you been watching the Weather Channel this past week? It seems all they want to talk about is the fact that we have had no tornadoes lately. It's almost as if they are wishing tornadoes to happen so that they can talk about the damage they cause. I say stop talking about the lack of these tornadoes and count your blessings instead.
I've been watching videos (on the Weather Channel) of the snow in some parts of the country, and I guess I need to count my blessings that we're not getting more snow. (at the moment) Oh gosh, here they go! It seems that severe weather is being forecast for Oklahoma today, and now these guys have an excuse to keep harping about tornadoes - do you think one will develop? - where do you think one might hit? - are you prepared for a tornado happening?, etc. Guys, leave it be for a while. Maybe they won't have one.
It's time to switch to the shopping channel. Did you know that Samsung Galaxy now has a Prepaid Android Tracfone? It's cute and it's priced right. It's today's Special Value on QVC for only $99.92. It comes with a patterned protective cover, and triple minutes for the life of the phone. (plus a few other accessories) A great buy for folks with prepaid phones.
Today I have photos of some of the palm trees at the resort in Florida. Nani, these should brighten up your morning.
Oh my, I just stumbled across "Unsolved Mysteries" on a different TV channel. This is usually quite interesting so I think I'll watch this for a while before I fall asleep.
My eyes want to close so I think I'll take my leave here and crawl back under my warm blanket. So till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.
Hugs, Edna B.

Good morning from Texas where the skies are blue and the wind is warm. And most importantly...the internet is speedy! I am going to enjoy my stay here just for the internet access. Thought of you yesterday when I made my first knit baby hat. I tried the crochet pattern but gave up on it after a while. I guess the knitting works better for me. Now I may have to attempt some booties to learn a couple of new skills. You have a good one!
Good Morning,
I am sorry to hear that you did not sleep well. It is always hard trying to have a good morning when sleep has been elusive.
Your palm trees are so pretty. I really miss Nevada for their palms and of course the mountains. We have a few palms here. They are hardier than they look.
Tornado's are such terrible things. I had the Weather Channel up yesterday and your right, it was one comment after another about tornado's.
We will be hearing about them soon enough I am sure so they could just give it a rest and hope for the best.
Was the new mattress for your bed? If it was how did you like it? Nathan got me a new one and I hated it. The next day I swapped for mine back from Jonathan. I hate trying out new beds.
Get a good nap in and I will talk to you soon... Hugs, Beth
I know, I know, playing blog-reading catch-up again? But it’s mostly good reasons making my days too short right now. I’ve got a pretty important project we’re doing in my MS Support group right now, plus I had lunch with my “boss” from the MS Society (boss in quotes because it’s a volunteer position, but I still turn my paperwork in to someone!) and met her face to face for the first time. I’ve also been working on coming up with new fundraising ideas for Walk MS. So I’m behind on things because of MS, but in a GOOD way!
Oh the painful irony of coming home to more snow that very night.
I am going to play with the filters you used to make the geometric orange bird feeder for Mandarin Orange Monday last week in my art journaling!
Golly the Florida flowering bushes are beautiful! I WILL try to get some pictures of the crocuses tomorrow when I’m out.
We’ve had a mixed weather bag as spring is setting in, including a dusting of more snow yesterday. Ours won’t take as long as yours to melt, but after an almost 70 degree day we still have some left.
Aren’t the first shoots under the snow just magical?? THAT’S what you needed to come he from Florida for! :) My Amazon Prime pays for itself with Christmas shipping alone! And it is great for big things, especially if I get David a gift that’s too big to carry on my lap on the bus! I can’t exactly ask him to stop on the way home. LOL
Hehehe…Thanks for mentioning me with the palm trees! You know those brighten my day! There’s something calming to me about palm trees. Think it might be sun and oceans?? Hmm…
Now I’m moving on to catch up on some other reading I’m behind on (Including on my iPad) and munch on my afternoon popcorn while it’s still warm!
Hugs, Nani
Gosh, I hope you catched up a bit your sleep.
Hmmm, weather doesn;t seem to improve all too much but as long you don;t get new snow it's already a blessing.
Seeing those palm trees must be frustrating for you LOL!
Real spring weather will come to you, only question is WHEN.
We all need warmer times and lots of sunshine!
Take a good nap and have a great day after it!
Hugs
Kyra
