Fabulous Weather And New Yarn - Perfect!

March 4, 2015

Good morning.  Gosh, it's Wednesday already.  Time is going by too quickly.  It's another gorgeous morning here in Kissimmee.  Right now it is 66F degrees and headed to 87F degrees later this morning.

Yesterday, us gals took in another flea market, and then stopped by Walmart and JoAnn's Fabric Store to check out the yarn.  Oh my, I found a gorgeous new color and a variegated yarn to match it perfectly.   The main color is called Aruba Sea, and  the other color just has a number (different brand yarn).  The color doesn't show up here as good as I'd like it to, but you get the idea.

On our way home from Walmart yesterday, we spotted a little pond and we stopped by it to see if there were any birds.  Woo hoo!  There were a couple of mallard ducks, two Muscovy ducks, and a pair of Ibis.  Not all of them were close enough to get a good photo, so we had to do a bit of moving around to get any decent photos.  Here are some shots of the Muscovy ducks.

Once I have a chance to crop some of the other photos, I'll share them too.  I was just so tickled that we had found some birds to photograph.  Of course there's plenty of nature everywhere to take pictures of, such as trees, flora, clouds, etc.

While us gals were busy gadding about town, Joe was soaking up rays of sunshine by the pool, with an occasional hop into the pool to cool off.   Such a wicked life this is!!!   I probably should have offered to bring him here years ago.  He has a permanent grin on his face.  Last night he treated us all to supper.  We ordered take out food to be delivered, and it was sooooo delicious!

While Joe was out walking last night, he called us to say that there was a stunning view of the moon right outside our door.  Audrey and I grabbed our cameras and went outside to have a look.  Oh my, what a beautiful night sky.  This is one of my best shots.

Today I think we'll have us a lazy laid back day. My fingers are itching to use that new yarn, and I have a few new books in my tablet library to peruse.  I introduced Audrey to the game Farm Heroes, and she's been having fun getting addicted to it.

Well that pretty much catches up with what's happening here.  I am keeping an eye on the Weather Channel.  There is so much wicked weather going on across the whole nation.   Yesterday they said that we were in the only state in the nation without snow.  Wow!!

So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and warm, and have a splendid day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I haven't even turned on the tv to hear the newscast on our winter conditions this morning. Seeing it on the internet was enough for me.

Beautiful yarn, I love the colors and they showed up fine online. I love that shade of blue.

The picture of the moon is just gorgeous and the ducks... wow... such a nice treat for you to be able to capture them on camera.

I am glad that Joe is warming up his bones. After all that snow plowing that he has done the last few months I am sure that his body is soaking it all up. No sun out for us today. It is just dark and gloomy. My sister called a little while ago and said that the storm is heading to them a little faster than first thought. I hope we get lucky once more and it hits us. If not I at least will have hot coffee and hot chocolate to keep me warm.

Have a great day and so happy that your enjoying your vacation.
Hugs, Beth

That is a gorgeous moon and just think, if you hadn't brought Joe with you, you might have missed it. I think that smile on his face says it all ... so glad you included him. I have, for as long as I have know you, been hearing about all the things he does for you at the house. This is well deserved.

So glad the weather is nice and you are getting out this time. I am looking forward to more pictures ... the ones you posted today were awesome. I saw the Muscovey ducks when I was in North Carolina with my son a few years back, but I didn't know what they were ... now I do. Thanks!

Nothing happening here. We got about 4 more inches of snow then a layer of ice on top of it. The snow is now crunchy which makes it even harder for Izzi to walk in. Mint snow blowed our sidewalk and part of our driveway (with Ryan of course). She is really getting into winter and the snow. She is quite the gal ... we are loving having her here. She calls Izzi, Yakity Yak because she always barks when she comes in ... in a friendly way. Like Joe, my son has a smile on his face all of the time now. What a pleasure ... So I won't be jealous of you (too much) because we have our warm things going on here ... but the birds are singing every morning now, even when it is cold. I decided if they can have such a positive attitude, so should I. Spring can't be that far off ... and then the Yard work begins ... hmmmm. Well, Enjoy, Edna ... I love that Pogo is taking charge down there. That is a sign that he is comfortable where he is. See you tomorrow ...

Isn't it nice to be warm and able to walk around without boots? The new yarn is lovely. You are very much like me, I must have my fingers busy all the time as well.

Oh, youhad a good day, isn't it? Finding the new yarn, and then the little pond with different birds. And then treated by Joe at dinner.
It was nice of him to do so.
Keep up having fun and lazy times, in lovely weather conditions.
Greets to all, hug for you, cuddle for Pogo.
