Well, it wasn't quite like that. Well, sort of. Friday morning, Pogo stayed with the girls while Joe and I went to find us a helicopter. One more item to scratch off our bucket lists. (I didn't know it was on his list too.) I'm so glad I finally got to ride in a helicopter. It was fabulous!! This is the helicopter just landing to come pick us up.
I have to say that I behaved myself too. I did not suggest that the pilot hover anywhere so that I could get a good shot of the scenery below. I just snapped away and enjoyed the ride. My innards shook just a little when the plane was at an angle to make a turn, but our pilot assured me that we would not fall out. I absolutely loved this ride!!
Yesterday was a wicked quiet day. First the girls packed up the car and left to drive back to Virginia. Soon after, Joe headed out by the office to wait for his shuttle bus that would take him to the airport. Gosh, I miss everyone. Even Pogo wandered about for a while looking for Joe so that he could have his turkey treat.
Audrey sent me a photo of one of the bridges she drove across during yesterday's leg of the trip. She surprised herself by making it over the bridge in grand style. She does not like highways or bridges. Great job, Audrey!!
Joe sent me a photo once he got home yesterday afternoon. He wore shorts home because he just wasn't ready to put the long pants back on just yet. As you can see, we still have tons of snow in our yard.
This morning I got the nicest surprise in my email box. My friend Kyra made me two beautiful scrap pages of guess who? Well of course, my handsome little Pogo.
Kyra, thank you so much. What a wonderful way to start my morning. It really is a great morning. It started with a bright beautiful sun, a text from the girls that they were back on the road after a good breakfast, and two beautiful scrap layouts from my friend Kyra. Folks, you just can't ask for more.
Pogo is out on the porch taking in a bit of sun and watching for someone or something to bark at. We went for a little walk yesterday, and he had such fun checking out all the new smells in the grass. Now he's in here trying to get me to follow him out to the porch.
He has such a persuasive personality. So, I guess I'll take my coffee and my crocheting out to the porch and enjoy the fresh air. (The door has been open all morning and it feels so good to be able to leave it open.)
I have more photos to share but I think I'll save a few for tomorrow. So, till then, Y'all have a fantabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

Looks like the snow didn't go away, while you were gone. Do you get to stay a week longer. I bet it is so quiet. Have fun. Cute photo shops of Pogo. I rode in a copter once. I loved it too.
Glad you had a great time with the helicopter flight! It is something else than a normal plane isn;t it?
Only one week more vacation for you? Gosh how quick time passes. Looking at the photo Joe sent you, yu better stay a week longer or so in Florida!!!
But. perhaps the snow will start melting soon and may, by the time you arrive back home lots of it will be gone, I hope so.
It was nice to make again some layouts, I should do it more often.
Have to do several things today, and I want them to be done, so not too much time. First will do a blogpost and then on to the "to-do"list hopefully LOL.
Have a wonderful day.
Hug
Kyra
I love Audrey's picture of the bridge; I love to photograph bridges while the car is going over them too! And poor Joe! He looks so sad...and so cold! But spring IS coming! David took a photo of the first shoots of crocus leaves next to the snow!
Kyrs's scrapbook pages of Pogo are so sweet. He does just lend himself to art so sweetly!
Hugs, Nani
Eeks! Reading 2 entries at once I only left a comment about the second half! THE HELICOPTER! :) Such neat souvenir photos they got for you. David went in a helicopter last year at the train festival we went to in North Carolina. The helicopter went around the train museum and believe it or not he DID ask the pilot to go over a freight train that was just off the grounds. I'd have been embarrassed, but the pilot did it, so I guess it want so crazy. I bet you could have asked the pilot to hover for you. ;) I bet you still got some great shots!
extra hugs, Nani
