The Ground Hog Forecasts Six More Weeks Of Winter

February 3, 2014

Well, it's almost 6 am, and pretty soon I can head on home.  The skies are still quite dark, and the temperature is in the mid 30's  We are in a winter storm watch right now, expecting several inches of snow today.  I just hope it waits until after I'm home.

Last night, daughter Audrey took some photos of the sun setting, and of the moon with the crescent on the bottom.  These photos were taken from her front porch, and are just wonderful.  The sun setting behind the line of trees looks like a fire blazing.

Aren't these photos just wonderful?   SIL Mac takes some beautiful photos too, and I'll post some of them tomorrow.   Photography is a great hobby for families to share.

Congratulations to those of you rooting for  the Seattle Seahawks.  The final score for Super Bowl XLVII was Seattle Seahawks 43, and Denver Broncos 8.  Also, the Ground Hog declared that there will be six more weeks of winter.   Well, DUH!!   We already knew that!!

I was hoping to do a few outdoor errands today, but with snow expected I think I'll just stay indoors and play with Pogo.  Besides, this week I need to start getting a few things done so that I can go on vacation with a clear mind.  Plus, I have to make arrangements for a rental car and our pickup at the airport.

I need to make a visit to the nail salon, and Pogo needs an appointment at his beauty salon.  We need to make an appointment for Pogo's health checkup, and we have to renew his license.  On top of that, it is time to file taxes.  So many things to do will keep us quiet busy these next few weeks.

Well that is all the news for this morning.  It's time for me to check on the Mrs again.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all be warm and have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Great image of the sunset behind the trees, it does indeed look like a forest fire. All the beauty without any of the damage.

Those photos of the sunset are amazing, such beautiful colors.
seems you will be busy coming time, preparing all things for the vacation, next to Pogo's appointments and oh yeas, those feared taxe files to fill in,
Crossing fingers you could return home from work without any snow!
Have a good sleep and then a lovely day with Pogo.
Hugs
