It's another gorgeous morning here in New England. Today's temp is supposed to get up to the low 80's F. I think I can handle that! This will be a good week to get outside and work in the gardens. With a whole week of pretty good weather, I'm hoping to get caught up on a lot of things around the house.
Hopefully, later today, Joe will go shopping with me for more birdseed and some outdoor furniture covers. I would like to be able to cover the lawn benches at the end of each day to protect them from rain. When we get back from shopping, maybe Joe will have time to mow the grass. It's beginning to get tall again.
Today is Mandarin Orange Monday again. I have another beautiful sunset photo from last summer. Because it is similar to last week's sunset (they were taken on the same night), I'm putting up two photos this morning.
I also have a pretty photo that Dee Dee sent to me from her cell phone. This is a stray cat that wandered into her yard and adopted Deanne and her family for it's own. Isn't this a beautiful kitty?
I'm home from work now and my little Pogo is snuggled up close to my side. It's such a joy to come home to him. After giving me a fabulous welcome, he runs into the living room and does his "happy dance". He is such a joyful little guy. I think one day this week I will take him shopping for a couple more "muscle" shirts. You know, the sleeveless tank tops.
Today, I need to call the car dealership and make an appointment for my car's regular check up. This should have been done several weeks ago, but well, life gets in the way and I get behind. Not a problem though, we get there eventually.
Well that's the news for this morning. So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a fantabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

OMG, you just reminded me, my car is due for a major (50,000 miles) check up and oil change. I need to get that done while I am thinking of it ... otherwise it won't get done until someone like you brings it up again :)
We had a nice Father's day at our house. Cards, a few presents and my son brought over some of his Scubba Diving pictures ... very cool.
I also found out that my Granddaughter has a summer job ... I am happy for her, but I guess that means we won't be seeing much of her all summer. I am getting used to that ... since she became a teenager her priorities are different.
Love your sunrises ... perfectly orange and beautiful. What lake are you shooting over. I assume it is close to you or your work. Is that where the swans are?
Muscle shirts for Pogo ... that's perfect for such a handsome little guy. Izzi will swoon when she sees him. I need to get her cooling coat out ... she really struggles with the heat.
Today I have to finish burning the leaves on the hill and, yes, mow the lawn again. We have Spring Green come every year to fertilize and I am thinking that is why it is growing so fast. I can hardly keep up with it. Every time it rains, which it did this weekend, the grass grow inches. I am beginning to thing the draught was a little easier though I wouldn't wish that on the wildlife again. They really suffered last year.
Better get going ... it is a lot easier to talk about all I have to do that to actually do it, but that only lasts for so long. You have a wonderful day, Edna and a sniff, sniff, lick, lick from Izzi too.

More beautiful pictures! Love the one of the lake.
I'm so glad the little kitty found a home. I always feel so sorry for the strays and wish I could take them all in. But then I'd be considered "The Crazy Cat Lady".
You just reminded me that today is Monday - rats, I just posted another one I had ready about the kittys when I could have saved that one for later. I guess I should read the other blogs first to know what day it is.
I'm so happy the orange kitty has a good home, he reminds me of my George.
Wow, what a sunset! and the orange tabby with long hair is gorgeous, isn't it funny how cats chose their caretakers? All 3 of mine are rescues and the ferals outside all hang around to eat, sleep and drink and play! I wish I had the means and space to have a place for all of them that don't find a family!
I have been putting ice cubes in their water because of the heat...and in the bird bath too, don't want the birds to cook in it! We had storms this morning that cause the humidity to climb, but the temps only reached 97 today! You and Pogo have a super week ahead! Hugs for both of you!
Mat
seems that this week you will have lovely weather, and hopefully you can get the best out if it.
Those covers for garden furniture are great, but to put them on every night and get them off every morning, when the weather is good enough is such a pain! I don;t know if your benches are of natural wood or painted wood, but best would be to give them another good coat of stain for outdoor stuff, can be in color or just natural "whiote"stain, that should protect them also very well.
What a sweet kitty that is! How sweet that it picke its own family to stay with!
Glad the cat found Deanne, he will have a safe place now.
We should have a warm day today, so probably it will be some garden sitting today, and if it becomes too warm, our room stays always a bit cool, so then we can hide there. But how wonderful it is to be able to open the garden doors early morning already? We missed that till now.
Have a great day,
Hug
Kyra
