Different Perspectives On Time

October 20, 2011

Eye opener!!  Have you checked the calendar lately?  It's almost time to be stocking up on cranberry sauce and all the trimmings for your Thanksgiving Day dinner.  Just a little while ago, I was struggling with the loss of the warmth of summer, and now it's almost time to buy the turkey and get the holiday gifts wrapped and packed into boxes for shipping.

I  remember when I was a child waiting eagerly for these wonderful holidays to finally get here.  It seemed they were so far off and took forever to get here.  Now as a senior citizen, I can't get over how quickly they arrive, and every year they get even quicker!  It must be the difference in our perspective of things at different ages in our life.

I have been sitting here watching a little squirrel trying to get at the food in the little bird feeder that is hanging just outside my window.  He climbs to a spot over it, then has to tip it to get at the food.  He just doesn't understand that when he tips it, all the food spills out.  Or maybe that was his intention to begin with!

Have any of you had experiences, good or bad, in dealing with sales reps either on the phone or with the computer?  Are you finding this way of using technology to deal with the customer much better or more frustrating?  Nani at "The Chronicles of Nani" is asking for some assistance with a survey project on this very subject that she is doing for school.  If you can help out, visit her blog and read exactly what it is she is asking for.  Thanks so much for your help.

Today I have a photo of one of Captain John's boats docked by the Harbor Master's building in Plymouth Harbor.  This was taken just before a passel of dark clouds floated by to chase away the sun.

This next photo was sent to me by email.  I don't know who the photographer was, but I just love the photo.  This should put a smile on your face.  Squirrels can be quite pesky, but you have to agree that they sure are cute!

That's it for today folks.  Eddie will be here in a while to start putting up at least one of the new doors.  Then we have to go buy a window that needs replacing.  Also, the furnace man will be here this morning to clean out the burner.  After that, I will need to call and arrange for an oil delivery.  The cold weather is definitely on it's way.

Now I will get Tootsie her meds and rustle up some breakfast for us.  How does sausage patties sound?  Mmm, mmm, mmm.  Till tomorrorw, Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi there. I recommend Rio, very cute with catchy music. I would think Halloween would be even bigger in MA, it's one of my favorite holidays.
Loved the squirrel photo and stole it for my own use. We just discussed Thanksgiving plans today also - where did this year go?

I love the photo of the "kissing" squirrels. What a great moment in time. Well done.
