I can see through the blinds on my new door that the sun is shining. That's good because I have to go out this morning to do a couple or errands and keep an appointment with a nutritionist. She is going to try to talk me into a better way of eating. Mostly she will probably want me to eat a lot of stuff that I never ever put into my mouth.
It seems that I need to lower my cholesterol numbers, and my diet isn't doing it. I think that maybe losing a few more pounds might help. That is something I will work on between now and Spring time.
Here's a photo of my new door. Unfortunately, I forgot to close the blinds first, but I think it looks quite nice. Great job, Eddie!
Yesterday afternoon, Joe came in from work so excited. It seems he spotted a large group of turkeys out for a stroll on his way home and wanted to share them with me. I grabbed my camera (still with my slippers on) and he and I went off to see if the turkeys were still there.
We found a group of seven turkeys munching away in someone's yard, so I ignored the "no trespassing" sign and sort of ran slipper footed across the large lawn to photograph the turkeys. As you can see from this next photo, the yard was huge. This just shows the front part of the yard (and in the middle, that's my car.) The turkeys and me were at the very back of the yard.
Let me tell you, these are not the friendliest of birds. Depending the mood they are in, they will either peck you till you cry "uncle" or run away into the woods. I was lucky, they took one look at me and started walking, then running across the back of the yard and finally into the woods. Here are just a few pix of the turkeys.
I got some neat shots of them galloping away from me, but I'll save those for tomorrow. It's time now to get Tootsie her morning meds and rustle up something for us to eat. Pretty soon it will be time to get ready for my appointment. Oh joy! Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

Enjoyed the turkey photos as I was "gobbling" up my breakfast.
