Good morning. I think the sun is supposed to come out but so far it hasn't shown it's cheery face. Boo Hoo. My energy level is so in need of sunshine and warmth. On TV, they are having a program to exclaim about the high costs of the winter storms that we've had so far. So far, all they are mentioning are the costs to the cities and towns, and the state and federal costs.
*
Yoo Hoo! What about the people? Not everyone earns six figure incomes. Lots of folks still only earn less than $20,000 a year. Now with fuel costing roughly $7,000 to $10,000 for the winter, where does this leave the little folks? With Mr. O's blessings, most of these little folks are not able to get any subsidiaries to help with the cost of the heating fuel.
*
So tell me, why are the governments complaining about the costs? Do I need to say it? I think it's because every dollar that has to go toward paying storm costs is another dollar that could have gone into their pockets and benefit packages. They don't work all that hard, and they make extremely handsome salaries with fantastic benefits. Most of the little folks are working their fannies off just trying to make ends meet.

Time to get off my band box. It's not good to get me going about the politics at play here. I like to keep my blood pressure at a healthy level. I think today I will go out for a while with my son in law and look at some cars. That should keep this old bird calm and happy.

How about a photo? I think I'll just post this one and let you figure out what it is.

Have you figured it out yet? Want a hint? It's cold. Need another one? It was wet when I took the photo. One more? Okay. The sun was bouncing off it too. You got it, right? Yup, it's an icicle up close and personal.
*
Okay, now I need to make another cup of coffee, give Tootsie her meds, and take some pix of her in her new pink carrier. Till tomorrow, Y'all have a great day.

Hugs, Edna B.

The close-up of the icicle is SO COOL!! Wow!
I see where you're coming from with your political gripe! The news is always telling us "it costs the city this, or state that." The one I love is "it's costing the taxpayers..." That's to get us feeling like it's personal. But it's not personal. I figure they already spent the tax money they got from the little guys, all the taxes they have left is the rest of what they got from the six-figure incomes. :) That's why they don't plow the streets in the poorer neighborhoods in the late winter. They've finished paying!
Have a beautiful rest of the day and evening, Edna, and don't let the fat-cats rattle your blood pressure!
Two points here Miss Edna... plan on a summer garden and if you need to buy new clothes, buy 'em now. If the clothes haven't gone up in price already, they will soon. And I'm also starting to see increases in agricultural commodities. That means food prices will continue to go up. And my second point, the taxes we are paying now is nothing compared to what we are going to be paying in future if the government doesn't stop spending more than it's taking in. I'm so fed up with washington dc that I could just scream.
The ice picture was cool. I thought it was "doctored" on adobe. Despite the ice gone from my driveway now, I still have ice over my yard and back porch. But it will melt soon. You hang in there!
