Good morning. Yesterday proved to be quite an eventful day for Tootsie and me. To start with, Tootsie was not supposed to eat or drink anything in the morning before having her blood work done. I got home right after she polished off three chicken strip treats.
*
So I waited till about 8:30 and called the hospital to see about rescheduling. Well, surprise, surprise. Seems the doctor had forgotten about this appointment and had gone on vacation. I have to say that Miss Tootsie was thrilled! We will reschedule the test for later in March, but today we will go in for a check up and get her health certificate that is required for plane travel.

After lunch, Eddie and Jasmine came by, and we went car shopping. I sort of knew what car I wanted and the color, but it would take a few hours of haggling with the salesman to come to an acceptable price. Eventually, we agreed upon a price, and papers were signed. Now he will put in my order and call me when the car comes in.

Because he did not have the color that I wanted, I downloaded a picture from the web to show what our new big baby will look like when she arrives.

It's a garnet red Hyundai GL. And what a beauty she is!! She will either arrive shortly before I leave for Florida, or as soon as I return home. So the timing is pretty good. Now I just have to get my fanny outside and clean out my car. (I traded it in towards the new one.) My car has been very good to me, so I hope her new owner will treat her nice.

Now I think Tootsie and I will have an early lunch. We have lots to do before Saturday night. That's when we pack the last things into the suitcase. We leave early Sunday morning. Woo Hoo!! I'm starting to get excited about this trip. Who knows? Maybe when I get back home, all the snow will be gone too.
*
Well, that's it for today. Time for me to get busy here. Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantastic day.

Golly, Edna, I HOPE the icky white stuff is gone when you get back!
The car is pretty! Everyone should be a member of the Red Car Nation! :)
Gotta get to my test now! You and Tootsie enjoy the anticipation of your trip!
Glad you were able to find exactly what you wanted. I really like the color. Have fun with Tootsie in Florida. I didn't know you had to a a certificate for travel for an animal. We drove down the stip today and boy has that changed in only 4 years. I've used my new lens but not looked at the results yet. Pomise to post soon. Enjoy! Mary Ann
Oh I like your new car! Glad you found what you wanted!
And yes, let's hope all that yakkie white stuff will be gone when you return from Florida.
It will be much nicer to try out your new car then.
Have a great day!
Hugs
P.S. Yes, we found the compressed soil by accident, it isn't quit the same as "fresh one"but it surely saves a lot of space and it small packages, each good for about 1 ltr of soil, wiegh almost nothing. Ideal!
Love the red car. My last one was red and you just feel cheerful driving it. Our new one (needed to pull the ham) is kind of a gray-green...it gets the job done but is kind of blah.
Did Mary Ann just say she was stripping in Las Vegas? I know times are hard, but really...has it come to that!
