Dinner Was Great, The Company Was Better

November 24, 2017

Good morning.  (for another fifteen minutes)  I did not sleep well last night, so I'm off to a very late start today.  I guess I can blame it all on that awesome nap I took after dinner yesterday.  The sun is shining today and the temperature is only about 45F degrees.  That's about as warm as it's supposed to get today.  I'm not complaining though.  This is way better than snow!

Dinner yesterday was delicious.  Joe cooked everything and I have to say he did a great job.  Pogo doesn't normally eat regular turkey, but yesterday he at a plateful with a bit of gravy mixed in.  A couple of the dwarfs had gone out to be with their families, and the rest of them stayed at home.  Some ate with us, and others cooked their own meal and ate together.  We had turkey, the others had ham.

For supper last night, I only had apple pie because I was still full from dinner.  Afterwards, I finished crocheting the purple scarf and hat set.  I used the left over yarns from the purple afghan.

Afterwards, I worked on the green afghan for a while.  I think I only have about twenty two or three more rows to go before it is finished.  I'm not sure which colors I will work with after that.  At least I have plenty to choose from.  hahaha.

Today I have a quick page for you.  This one has nothing to do with the season at hand, but I do love the ocean and this was a fun page to work on.  Have fun with it.

Today I think I'll work on cropping and resizing a photo for my DIL Janet.  She wants to have it printed on canvas for her hubby for Christmas.  After that, I want to wrap a couple of things, one of which will be needing to be mailed by Monday.  Maybe wrapping these things will get me in the mood to wrap the rest of the things waiting for wrapping and packing.  We'll see.

Pogo seems to be on a doggie food strike.  I found a couple of meatballs in the freezer, so I'm cooking them for him.  Hopefully, he will eat them.  Short of cooking hamburgers (fresh each day!) or steak, I just don't know what to feed him anymore.

Tomorrow is supposed to be in the mid fifties, so I think Pogo and I will be going out for a while.  One stop will be at Ocean State Job Lot because the bird seed is on sale for almost half price.  After that, we're on our own to enjoy the beautiful day.

That's about all my news for today.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Edna,
So glad that your Thanksgiving was a good one. Ours was fantastic. Cisco had some beef from the beef fajita's Karyn had made. Of course the soup was my favorite. We had a great day but it was still hard for me to sleep.

I am so pleased that Pogo had some turkey and gravy. I am at a loss as to suggestions for that little guy. He just knows what he likes and doesn't like. We are having a more traditional meal for Christmas. We will deviate on a few things and cross them off our list for me, but a few things I will be able to have. Karyn will roast the vegetables. I think that I will surprise her and have the prep work done ahead of time since she does not allow me in the kitchen when she is cooking. It is a great gift, but I feel guilty for not helping more because I know how much work goes into preparing a meal. Still she did allow the boys to help, just not me lol.

I am just waking up. Thank you for the beautiful QP and Scarf and hat set is just gorgeous. I love the colors. Very pretty.
Give Pogo lots of love from Cisco and I today. Hugs and kisses to you... Love, Beth and Cisco..

Ha, I did make it all through!
Glad you had a good Thanksgiving dinner.
Nice of Joe to do so, but I said before, i think he is a great guy and I am thankful to him, that he gives you so much helping hands!
Weather here is cooling down too, we just reach around 8 C daytime.
Oh, birdseed is going fast here too! Specvially the parakeets eat a lot. But it is so funny to have them visiting.
Now I am off to my blog to make a little update.
Hugs
Kyra

Thanks for the cluster frame. It's got the adorable dolphin and I'll probably use it this summer. Thank you for sharing.
