Blossoming Plants

May 20, 2022

Good afternoon.  The morning got away from me.  I didn't even realize it till daughter Audrey called me to ask why I hadn't posted today.  I wish I could say that I was so busy doing all sorts of things but that isn't so.  I was just resting and watching TV.

I thought I would post after my program was over, but then I fell asleep instead and had a super nap.  I awoke to the sound of al little bird chirping right outside my door.  And so, here I am.

Tomorrow and Sunday I will have my breakfast out on the porch.  Those days are going to be wicked hot so I'll probably only be able to stay out there a few hours each morning.  (A good few hours)

Things are beginning to blossom around here, and yesterday I noticed that my lilacs are in bloom.  Mine are lavender.  One of these days, I'd like to plant a yellow lilac bush.  (First I have to find one.)

I need to go to the garden center again and get a plant to put in my tall flamingo planter.  I like to keep this planter on my steps.  Maybe I could get a plant to hang inside my porch too.  I love having flowers around me.

Now it's time to decide what's for supper.  Mac n Cheese sounds like a good idea.  So, till Monday, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous weekend.

Hugs, Edna B.

Beautiful lilacs. We lost our bush by the bedroom window. SO sad. Enjoy your weekend sweet friend.

what better reason to post much later than having a real good nap??? Love your lilacs. I can remember my mother liked those flowers a lot.
It will be lovely in the morning to have your breakfast on the porch. And oh, another daytrip to the gardencentre sounds great. And one always can do with a few more plants around, like on your porch hahaha.
Have a splendid weekend,
Hugs

Hi Edna, I did see on the news last night about those hot temps you are experiencing. We are in the 60s later today but it's gray skies so far this morning. I love the sight and smell of lilacs. Your lilacs are so pretty. Have a wonderful weekend!

I didn't know yellow lilacs even existed! Your purple ones are beautiful and I'm sure they smell great. :)

Lilacs don't grow here in Florida, so I enjoy pictures of them when my blog friends post then. I did not know they come in yellow!
