Cleaning With Orange Peels?

October 10, 2021

Good morning.  Today is gray with temps in the low to mid sixties.  Brrr.  Gosh, if only there were a way to keep the warm sunny temps with us till next Spring gets here.  Alas, it won't happen.

I'm just not a snow bunny.  Actually, the snow wouldn't be so bad if it would come when the temp are warm, but of course that can't happen.  Can you imagine?  Frosty would have to be can of water instead of a snowman.  Nah, that wouldn't be so good.

It's really quiet around here.  Sometimes too quiet.  Summer has a sort of bubby attitude even on a quiet day.  But the cold temps bring on a stillness.  No pretty colors, no bubbles.  Just a cold quiet.  Okay, that's my poetry lesson for the day.

Last night, I worked on my crochet projects for a while.  Most of them should be finished by the end of the month.  After that it will be "afghan" time.

What do you do with your orange peels when you eat an orange?  Like me, you probably throw them out.  However, they can be very useful.  I borrowed this article from the web to share.  I have an orange in my fridge, so I think I'll give this one a try.

My mind is starting to wander to thoughts of food.  I woke up earlier this morning (at 5 a.m.) hungry. so I had breakfast before going back to bed.  Soon it will be noon and I'm craving food again.   While I was sleeping, I had a dream that had me cooking potatoes and eggs.  So now I'm thinking that maybe I'll cut up some potatoes and fry them in butter.  Then I'll scramble a couple eggs in with them.  Add a little pepper, and yum yum!

Here's a beautiful picture that someone sent to me.  Oh my, so many beautiful brooms!  So little time!  You know that orange broom is calling out to me.

Now I think I'll enjoy a bit of blog reading before getting busy with the potatoes and eggs.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

You are right, in summer thee can be a moment of silence, but colder days in Autumn have that stillness. How poetic of you.
Love that orange broom. But do you think you will have a flight this year? Perhaps ou can make a virtual one.
I din;t know that about orange peels. And it shows we never stop learning.
Fried potatoes and eggs sounds good. we had oven-potatoes today, is about the same.
Have a wonderful day, enjoy your lunch.

I'm the opposite. I love the fall and welcome the snow. The shifting of fall to winter I find energizing. The heat wears me down to a noodle--LOL!
Great idea for a natural cleaning project. :)

It's still warm here. I sat out by the pool last night and took some pictures of my flowers blooming. I like Fall but not the COLD of Winter. Before you know it, Spring comes and I am happy to see the warm, sunshiny days. Change of Seasons, ahhhh! I will give the orange peels and vinegar a try, I have both and love finding new ways to use what I already have. Enjoy your day dear friend, HUGS!!
