Lots To Do, So Little Time

August 16, 2021

Good morning.  Today is another gorgeous day.  It's sunny and temps should be in the upper seventies all day.  It's a great day for poking around in the garden and doing anything else you can outdoors.

This morning I've been watching TV.  Dragnet, My Three Sons, Leave It To Beaver, Perry Mason.  Sure, they're reruns of shows that I watched years ago, but they are great shows.  Most of my TV watching is reruns of old programs.  So I guess that makes me old or I have good taste.  Or both!

The new baby blanket that I'm making sure is looking pretty.  It does take more time to make, though.  I need this blanket finished by the middle of September.  I have at least seventy or more rows to go, so I've been figuring out how many rows I have to do in a day to get that accomplished.

I figure at least two and a half rows a day will do it.  More than that will get it done quicker.  I still have to finish the pocket wraps.  They need to be done at least by the middle of November.  All of a sudden, time is beginning to fly by again.  Yikes!

Have any of you heard more about the booster shots for the Covid?  My understanding so far is that anyone with a compromised immune system will be needing to get the booster.  If this is you, then it may be wise to ask your doctor.  I'm going to ask mine.

I read an article about which U.S. cities have the worst customer service.  Here's the list.  (info from Reader's Digest)  This may not be very useful information, but it is interesting.  Now I wonder if they will make a list of the cities with the best customer service?

Here's another super interesting item,  Do you know why Franklin Roosevelt's picture is on the dime?  Here's why.  (image borrowed from web)  Did you know this?  I did not.

Well, my tummy is beginning to rumble for some food, so I'm going to the kitchen to see what looks good.  Meanwhile, let me share one more image that I borrowed from the web.  Hopefully, this will give you a good giggle to start your day.

Now I'm off to the kitchen.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all stay safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I love old TV shows too. I'm surprised at how badly Florida fares in that "Top 10" list for poor customer service! I wonder how they measured that?!

I see that wee have the same taste in tv programs. Right now I'm binge watching Murder She Wrote on a streaming app. A lot of the clothes look familiar.

Sometimes we watch too some older programs and it is always fun, there is a channel that gives those shows/films. series etc.

All the work on blankets and wraps and more is keeping you very busy. But I am sure you will finish the baby blanket in time. Time is running quick again, time to look around already for may be some Christmas presents.

Glad you have nice weather. We have a kind of dip, but later this week it will be better again.
Did you hear something from Joe, how he is doing at the moment?

I didn;t know about the dime and Roosevelt. Very interesting. Oh and about the booster for Covid. There is some discussion here about it too, I don;t know if it will bring effectively more protection. Best is to talk it over with your doctor and or specialists.

Have a wonderful day.
Hugs

We love Leave it to Beaver. My Three SOns too. I follow Tina Cole who played Robbies wife on social media. She is in her 70's W O W ! Her mom was one of the King Family sisters. Yes the FDR story is interesting isn't it. I Know it because I walked in many March of Dimes walk-a-thons. My friend Shirley was young had a babye with health issues when she and Randy were just teens. The March of Dimes took car eof everything. She and I walked in those walk-a-thons for many years when we were with Princess House. We loved those days and I may have an old T SHirt here somewhere too. I must search for it.
