Keeping Busy

August 23, 2021

Good morning.  Well, so far, we haven't had very much rain or wind from the storm.  It made a turn inland when it made landfall.  The devastation it left in Tennessee is horrid.  So many homes lost.  So many lives gone.  There are still a lot of folks missing.  Let's pray they are all found alive.

I guess we'll get the rain and wind later today and tomorrow as the storm is heading back out to sea.  At least that's what it looks like on TV.  I keep putting the Weather Channel on to see where Henri is heading and when, but so far I haven't seen very much about that.

This week I learned something new.  Some medications can cause a constant runny nose.  I've been on meds for the last couple of months and my nose has been running that long.  It's beginning to get sore now, and I need for it to stop.  I've been looking up meds on Google and I think I've figured out which med is the culprit.  I'll double check, then I'll call my doctor to see what can be done.

The new baby blanket is coming along just fine.  I've already re-crocheted one large ball of yarn (1 skein) and attached the second large ball of yarn.  I've got about twenty one rows done so far.  I'll work on this for a while this afternoon.  It's really quite pretty, and a lot easier to make.

I made a list of my great grandchildren.  There are twelve of them so far (and two on the way).  This means that I have five more afghans to make.  After that, I really should make a couple more for just in case.  That will be a while from now though.

I just went outside to get the mail, and it is so nice out there.  It's sunny and the temperature is 77F degrees.  The rain is supposed to start early this afternoon.  We'll just have to wait and see.

I borrowed a couple images from the web to share.  These are so true.

Till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Happy for you that till now you had not much trouble from Henri. But the devastation we saw on tv e.g. in also state of New York is terrible.
It's much more fun to work on a project that has a good but also quite easy pattern. Gosh, you did already a lot of rows.
12 Great grand children, that's something to be proud of. And so you still have a lot of afghans to make LOL.
I didn;t know about meds and the running nose. Good to look into it and do talk about it with your doctor. It's not nice to have a sore nose.

Is your wrist a little better now?

And did you hear something from Joe?

Well, enjoy the nice weather as long as it is there. Have a wonderful day.
Hugs
Kyra.

Glad all is well and you are safe. Please pray for Nick. He travels home later today. I made a smoothie and it was awful. People rave about Hemp Hearts. All they seem to do it stick in my teeth hahaha. I have made a few really good smoothies. But I need more spinach, it seems to round out a great smoothie. I had too much caffeine yesterday so today I am staying far away from it. Take care my friend.
