Good morning. Yup, it's already September. And, it's a lovely day, with temps only making it up into the mid seventies with lots of sunshine. Tonight the temperature will go down to 55F degrees, perfect for sleeping. Here is the September page from my calendar.
I've been watching the Weather Channel to follow the path of Hurricane Dorian. This one is being particularly nasty and it is already a Category 5. It's also covering a really large area. I've been watching to see how far up the East Coast it will be affecting, and it's already showing Virginia Beach on the map.
We'll be feeling the affects of this storm all week. I'm sending prayers for everyone in Dorian's path. May you stay safe. For those of you evacuating, please take your pets with you. Don't leave them behind to die. My heart goes out to all the shelters in the wake of this storm. Hopefully, nearby folks will help to get all the animals to a safe place to ride out the storm.
Yesterday was really lazy day for me. Today, though, appears to be much better. There's a little spark of energy that keeps poking me so that I can get a few things done. Thank goodness for that little poke. I really need to do some laundry.
Today I thought I would post a couple of my favorite old quick pages. If this is okay with you, then I can do this for a while until I can get back to designing. These are from 2015.

Dwarf Mikey has gone to the market and will pick up a couple boxes of salt free crackers for me. I did have some, but I forgot to hide them in the microwave the other night, and a mouse chewed into every package of them. You'd think the mouse could have just chewed into one of the packages and been happy with that , but no, this was a very greedy mouse. You can be sure I'll make room in the refrigerator for my new crackers.
Someone said that Yorkies were bred to catch rats. Are you sure about that? My little Yorkie is afraid of the mouse that keeps showing up in our house. I have several of those pest repellers plugged in around the place, but they don't seem to bother this mouse.
Now I'm off to catch up on some blog reading, and see what bargains Shop LC is having for this holiday weekend. So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

We had some mice a couple of years ago and I tried every humane thing I could think of to get rid of them, but ultimately we just had to buy old-fashioned mousetraps and kill them. I hated to do it, but we can't have mice eating into our food!
This storm is scary! I'm sure my family in Jacksonville will feel something from it, but hopefully it won't hit them head-on.
What a naughty greedy mouse to ruin your crackers.
I used the glue traps for the mice and when I cleaned my pantry last week, the little rascals had been in my pasta packages. You're right, they didn't just do one but they did all of them. I had to trash all of my pasta. I bought poison for the outside and made sure I put it where my babies couldn't find it. It must have worked because I doesn't see any now. I am not going to brag because when I do I will see one running around. That lady that use to live next door with all the old furniture thrown in the back yard was the beginning of our rat problem here. I worked with the HOA until they fined the landlord and he came out and cleaned up her mess. She moved but had already done the damage. I doesn't blame Pogo, I am afraid of them too. dead or alive. (lol) My son picked the traps up for me. The poison here at all the stores are very expensive. I bought a large size box for 22 dollars. I can remember rat poison was not that expensive, but now it's crazy. I hope you and Pogo catch the mice and have a good day.
I can hardly believe it is already September either, I am happy to see her though, it has been a very hot summer for us.
So happy you are feeling better today, Edna, this storm has so many of us on edge, not knowing which way it will go is so unnerving.
I don't like mice either, they can be so destructive, how such a small creature can to so much damage in so little time is beyond my reasoning.
Good luck with getting them gone.
Thank you for visiting and for your sweet comments.
Blessings,
Sue
Edna, Catch that dirty little rat on a sticky trap and sail him out the back door like a frisbee. LOL. I just hate mice, ants, fleas, and groups of pests..gnats, flies, yuck. That kind of stuff just makes me nuts. I do not mind spiders cause they help with the other stuff. But I have to keep them outside. LOL. You know cause looking at them makes my hair stand on end. Yea, really I hate them too. But I do not kill them.
You and everyone on the East coast or in the storm's path are in my prayers. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

My cousin once owned a cat who could not catch a mouse to save himself! Mice are such tricky little rodents. We have a heat wave still! Oh my goodness, I pray for some cooling down. We go to Lamar and Holly next weekend and the heat can be so brutal. Fall are you listening at all?
Mice hate peppermint. I once placed cotton balls with peppermint essential oil on them and this mouse in our garage met his maker. Hmmmm.......plus it will not harm a house pet like sweet Pogo. we became good friends with the Orkin man due to the nasty wasps attacking us outdoors. But we have not had much trouble with any other critters.
I hope your Labor Day weekend is wonderful.
HUGS and LOVE
I welcome the change in months and seasons! OOPS to those stinking mice eating your crackers, so hard to get rid of them. Have a blessed and beautiful day dear friend, HUGS and PRAYERS for all in the path of the hurricane!
Good Morning to you and Pogo!
Thanks for the lovely gifts, I'm so warm and miserable with all this heat and sooooooo ready for it to leave here! I guess we are so spoiled and are never satisfied...LOL! I wish you both a terrific weekend! Hugs, Mat
