Good morning. Tis quite lovely outside right now. The sun is coming in and out, temps are 73F degrees, humidity is 83% and it's supposed to start raining in a couple hours. At least according to my phone app. We can use the rain.
Wow! I got me an unexpected burst of energy yesterday, and actually accomplished a few things. I added a few things to the Good Will bag and went through a ton of magazines that I had been saving. I also took a wee nap, and then started reading (re-reading) another book This one is "The Stars Shine Down" by Sidney Sheldon. I enjoy his books. I figure this one deserves a second reading before being put in the Good Will bag.
I was surfing through FaceBook and came across a little shop that sells the cutest doggie mama shirts. I fell in love with one of them and ordered it. Now I can't wait for it to get here. Isn't this cute?
Yesterday I showed you a photo of my skimpy tomato plants. Here's a photo of Deanne's tomato plant. I bought three of them and gave one to her.
Isn't this beautiful? Deanne brought me a tomato from her plant, and I plan on eating it later either in my lunch or my supper. Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm!
Last night, I was opening a small container of apple sauce and spilled it down the front of my jammies. I cleaned up my mess and changed into clean jammies. This morning while eating my cup of Cream Of Wheat, I spilled some of it down the front of my jammies top. Sighhhhh, you just can't take me anywhere!
While I was in the hospital, they found that I have an abdominal aortic aneurysm. They said not to worry about it now, but to have an abdominal ultrasound in six months. According to the doctor in the hospital, this is something that a lot of us old folks get. I'll have to do a bit of research on it.
The sun has gone in and it's looking like we just might get a bit of rain. Gosh, I hope so. My plants are wicked thirsty. I just went outside to water my tomato plants and discovered that there are three or four teeny tiny tomatoes on them. Isn't it wonderful how nature doesn't give up? I also felt a few wicked tiny drops of rain on my arm. Maybe the rain is coming after all.
Now I think I'll do a bit of blog reading before I start in on filling that Good Will bag. So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

It is still extremely hot here with no rain in sight. We will be in triple digits of heat today. This is just too much for me to deal with, but then to, I have no choice. (lol) It will be getting better around October or November. August is always our hottest month.
I had 6 tomato plants and only got a lot of teeny tiny tomatoes. I see one is still trying to survive this heat and a few teeny tiny tomatoes are on it. Deanne's tomato is what I was trying to grow. I will try again in the spring and see what happen. I usually have enough for canning but not this Spring. They were extremely too small. Let's hope the squirrels leave yours alone. Have a great day and I hope you get some rain. Maybe we will be next in line for a little water to pour.

With the extreme heat our tomato plants died, I think we gathered 4 from ten plants.

Hi Edna, We had a wee rain shower and it was very welcome here, too! I know you will enjoy the tomato for lunch or supper. So happy you are seeing some young ones on your plant. It's good that the dr. said you could wait six mos before the test - you be sure and follow up on that when it is time. I spill food on myself all the time. Coffee is the worst for me - I dribbled it down the front of my shirt no matter how hard I try! I wish you a peaceful evening.

The photo of the Rose of Sharon is really beautiful with the sunrayes. I am curious to know if you will actually will have some ripen tomatoes, hahaha. Well, same here, I have had 4 of them now and there are still a few that need more time and sunshine. But we had the 4 tomatoes yesterday as sald(together with a few other "bought"tomatoes, and I have to say ours tasted really good, sweet and juicy!
It was a long wait however.
I have no idea what the abdominal aortic aneurysm is, so I will try to find out too.
It is good they keep an eye on it in hospital and you will have a test within 6 months.
Gosh, somehow you really found lots of energy the last few days. Now don;t overdo it, you hear!
Had to smile when you wrote about the cokker you bought. To be honest, I too have no idea what they could mean with the light boiling etc.????
Hopefully the new one will do the job you want it to do.
Now I thin I will do a little solitaire cardgame before I will prepare for dinner, so that at dinner time it will be ready quickly.

Oh I wish that it would rain here. In the back yard I have to take water out by the pitcher full because our water hose doesn't reach and there is no water spigot out in the back. I would have to open the garage and pull it all the way thru and add another hose to the end of that and then roll it all up again. I will just haul the water lol.
I really hope that you get some really good tomatoes. The ones on Deanne's plant look really good and pretty. Perhaps yours will be a good yield for you yet.
