Good morning. Well, we're getting a bit of rain here in New England. It rained Friday night and all day yesterday, and it's still coming down. Today though, it is very light rain. At least at the moment. I'm not complaining though, because we really need this rain.
Goodness, it's already October! That means that there's only three months left to this year, and then three more months till Spring begins. Here's the October page from my calendar.
Also, tonight at sundown is the beginning of Rosh Hashanah. I want to wish all my Jewish family and friends a very Happy New Year. May this new year be happy, healthy and prosperous for everyone.
Now for my little rant. Today I want to talk about a disturbing article that I read in the newspaper this past Friday. The heading for the article was: "Memo to Obama aides: Don't prank Trump or Clinton". It starts by saying "White House staffers, if you want to avoid a headache next year, take our advice and don't imitate Bill Clinton's team on your way out."
The article is referring to transition pranks, a tradition embraced most energetically by Clinton's staff when handing the reins to George W. Bush in 2001. (You've probably heard about the missing W keys on all the White House keyboards and stolen doorknobs?)
Here are just some of the things that the Clinton team did. They scattered bumper stickers, recorded obscene voice-mail greetings, damaged furniture, whited-out computer keyboards, smeared Vaseline over desks, unplugged refrigerators and wrote on walls. They took cell phones, TV remotes and presidential medallions. They glued telephones and drawers, abandoned holiday decorations and smashed locks.
There was also a report of a stolen bust of Abraham Lincoln (eventually returned) and a missing presidential seal from a door. I'm sure there's even more to this list, but I'm only listing what was printed in the newspaper. Does this sound like presidential behavior to you? To me, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth about the sort of people we put in charge of our country's well being.
I have no idea if other presidential teams displayed such bad, childish behavior. It might be worth looking up on Google. Don't these people realize that we, the people, are the ones who have to pay to fix, repair and/or replace all the damage that they are doing? I'll be very interested to see how much damage this year's outgoing presidential team will be creating. (hopefully, none)
On a happier note, this month I'm making extra quick pages for all your Halloween photos. It's such fun to play with all the really cute Halloween scrap kits. Have some fun with this QP.

I do have a bit of good news to share. I found a nice treat that my little Pogo can not only eat, but he actually likes it. It's called "Dog Joy", and it's made by Fresh Pet brand. They sell it at Walmart, and it is kept in a refrigerator in the dog food section. It comes in three flavors. I bought the "Turkey Bacon" for Pogo.
Now I think it's time I had me a hot cup of coffee and figured out what sort of fun mischief that Pogo and I can get into today. So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a magnificent day.
Hugs, Edna B.

It seems so appropriate that I am starting my "new life" during this season. I hadn't made the connection until your post. Thank you for that.
It's kind of childish of the staff of a leaving president to do all those things you mentioned I am wondering if the same thing happens here when we get a new prime minister and cabinet?
what good news you found a treat for Pogo!
Yesterday we had rain and a bit of sunshine, but not so much rain as thought.
But I saw on tv that in other parts of the country there was a lot more rain and heavy too.
Today looks nice, sun is shining at the moment temps will be around 17-18C, by the end of the week around 15C.
Nice way of you how you count the months LOL Just 3 more to Christmas and then only 3 more to Spring, hahaha
Have a wonderful day,
Hug
Kyra
