Cooler Temps, But Still Quite Lovely

October 20, 2016

Good morning.  Well that short burst of lovely warm temps is over.  Today we'll just make into the 60's.  I must say though, that the sun is shining and it is still quite lovely outside.  I have a couple photos to show you just how pretty it is here.

The first photo is the view from my porch, and the second photo is a close-up to show that there are a few patches of yellow beginning.  They don't show up so good, but next week they'll probably be brighter.

And here's a photo of the new plants.  I've had them outside on the porch to enjoy the sunshine and warm temperatures.  I'm not sure what color the two Christmas Cactus plants will be but it will be fun to find out.

Later today, I'll bring in the plant greenhouse that is in the trunk of my car, and put it together.  I have a spot in the kitchen pantry, in front of the window, that I'm thinking of for this greenhouse.  Of course, we may also just keep it in the kitchen by one of the windows.  I'll figure that out later.

In a little while, grandson Kevin will be coming by to take me grocery shopping.  First he has a job interview to attend.  Good luck, Kevin.  A job helps to give him spending money while in college, and it puts the gas in his car to get him back and forth to class.  (and to see me, too!)  It's also good for his character too.  He has plans for his future, and he works hard to make it happen.  (Gosh, do I sound like I'm tooting my horn again?  What can I say?  He's pretty awesome!)

If this trip to the market works out okay, I'll know that I'll be trotting around on my own soon.  I just get winded too easily these days.  But I do feel that I'm getting back to my normal, even though it's a bit slowly.

Today I have another Halloween quick page for you.  This one is for the photo of your doggie in his or her Halloween outfit.  Have fun with it.

Now I think I really should get dressed and finish making my grocery list.  Before you know it, Kevin will be here and I won't be ready.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have an awesome day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi Edna,

It is so nice to hear that Kevin came by to see you and of course help you out a bit. You do indeed have a wonderful family. It is always nice to see your grandchildren so I say "Toot That Horn Edna" as often as you can.

Our cold front is here. The past few days have been miserable but right now it is 79 degrees and the wind is blowing at 13 mph. The humidity is a bit high at 68% and that surprises me, but we do have a rain shower in the forecast.
I couldn't sleep last night so at 2:00 a.m. I was out on the patio wishing for a cool breeze and I grabbed my broom and swept up the dirt and leaves. I was out with my coffee this morning and the wind has sent a whole new batch in for me to clear. I will not do it again until the wind dies down some.

Well one quick story about Cisco and I will get off. The other day Cisco was with me when I unpacked the box that held his little ceramic bowl with his doggie bones from Pogo. Well last night the bowl was empty. Cisco looked at it and looked at me and with a snort (I am not exaggerating, he snorted) he went into the hall and stood before the closet and barked. When I went to see what he was barking at, he was barking at the closet door. He remembered where I had gotten the box from that had his bones. Well of course the closet had to be re-arranged by my son to get the box of bones so I could refill his bowl! My boy is so smart!!
And now I will close as he is wanting breakfast. Have a lovely day... Hugs from Cisco and I to you and Pogo... Much love to you both, Beth

I must get over to my blog and put the story of the delivery that was Sept 16th. I've been wet nursing 7 adorable little puppies that are part Deer Head Chihuahua and part Apple Head Chihuahua. The are in aPlaypen for a small dog which gives them plenty of room.

Thank you for the QP. I'll get a good picture of the pup I'm keeping whose name is "Lady Godiva" and I have no idea how that name popped out of my head but it's her name now.

Weather here is Rainy and cooler. but I'm in the North West. Close to Oregon and close to Idaho. It may be a desert but it still gets rain this time of year.

It will be fun to have that greenhouse Also handy in real early spring, if you should want to grow some seeds.
