Good morning. Well, let me just say that whatever this nasty bug is that has caught me good, it certainly is wicked! I am now on a new stronger antibiotic, and I certainly hope that this one does the job. Lest I forget, I want to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and words. I am so blessed to have so many wonderful friends.
And, God bless my children, they are tenacious. (I surely hope they got this from their mother!) Daughter Deanne has been watching over me like a mother hawk. Thursday she gave me an ultimatum. "Either you call the doctor and make an appointment for Friday, or I'll come over and drive you to the hospital." Her exact words were just a tad bit stronger, but you get the idea.
I called and got the appointment, thank goodness. If I hadn't, I would probably be in the hospital by now as the infection was getting very close to pneumonia. I really don't need this! Now I'm on a different, stronger antibiotic. I surely hope this one can do the job and get me back up and running again. Thank you Deanne. I love you.
I'm getting ready here to make a cup of coffee. It will be my second one since this bug knocked me down this last time. Yesterday's cup of coffee tasted like nasty dish water. I'm hoping for something a bit better with this morning's cup. I'm even going to try a bowl of Raisin Bran cereal this morning. My appetite this past week has been on the scarce side. But it appears to be coming back today. I'm hoping this is a good sign.
Have any of you been watching the night sky lately? The moon has been showing off it's glamorous side. Night after night it has been just gorgeous! I missed out on so many great photos ops, but these past two nights were just too much to pass up. So, I bundled me up nice and warm, and was outside on Saturday morning around 2 a.m. and this morning at 3:15 a.m.
My hands are a bit shaky but my photos were still pretty good. Here's a couple from Saturday morning.
This is a closeup taken while the clouds were passing over the moon, followed by the same closeup that I used "Auto color, contrast and tone" in Photoshop to show the moon a bit clearer.
This was a gorgeous bright moon with a large aura about it. Probably that's because of the clouds, I don't really know. I just know that it was such a beautiful sight.
While I was outside taking these photos, this is what my handsome little guy was doing. Gosh, I just don't ever get tired of taking his photograph.
I have some nice shots from this morning, but I'll save them for tomorrow. However, I do have one amazing shot to share with you. This was the first shot that I took this morning of a bright start up over my driveway. This first shot is the original.
And this is what it looks like when I apply "Auto color, contrast and tone" in Photoshop. You can actually see the star. I've put an arrow pointing to it. I'm thinking that all the other dots are smaller stars. What do you think?
Well that's it for now. I'm beginning to peter out, and I want to try my coffee and cereal. I also have lots of catching up to do with my blog reading. So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a fantabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

It's a good sign that you are feeling well enough to blog and having your appitite back is icing on the cake. Good to see you up and about again ... I have to admit, I miss you when you are laying low.
I think your bright star is Venus. I have been seeing it out every night and it is indeed much brighter than everything else around and it is far enough away from the moon that the moon doesn't blank it out. Great picture, by the way. I don't think I would ever have thought of taking a picture of a star ... hmmmm, such courage :)
We need to rustle up some PS artists to participate in Queen Jesters PS Friday. If she gets enough followers she will put up a link and then she will be official. I know you enjoy it, as do I and there are surely others out there that would have fun playing on their computer once a week.
It is warm here today, but it has been raining (and is supposed to rain more)so it is very wet. We have been trying to get to trimming our last bush on the hill. I think we are running out of opportunities so we may be out there today, rain or shine, trimming away. Then it is all done but the leaves ... the leaves that are still sitting on my trees. They won't drop, even after our big snow. I am going to have a mess out there next spring if they don't fall in time for me to clean them up now. Anyway, the work never ends. And if that isn't enough, somebody egged our garage last night ... out of the blue ... it's not even Halloween any more. Have no idea who or why, but it will be a mess to clean up ... which is where I am going right now. So glad you are back and feeling better. Keep up the good work, Edna ... Izzi and I miss you when you are gone.

So glad you went to see a doctor. Have you had a pneumonia shot. Maybe when you are better.....if so maybe you need a booster.
Hope the antibiotics work. Are you able to take off work and rest.
Looks like Pogo has the right idea, what a cutie.
Get better.
I'm glad you went to see the doctor and hope you feel better very soon.
BLESS Deanne big time! Believe me it's truly an honor when we are old enough to boss our parents around and we love them enough to do it! I can also say from my experience with my David that people who take the responsibility to be the caretaker for a day, a week or life are incredibly special and wonderful people.
Appetite and desire for coffee coming back are indeed good signs. I like the moon shots, especially the one that shows such detail! I totally understand not resisting photos of Pogo; I have lots of cat scrapbook pages!
Take it easy and keep yourself rested! A nasty bug going into the holiday season is not a great thing to have. We all tend to overdo a little at this time of year and you need to get yourself to 100%!
Be well ASAP.
Hugs, Nani
Deanne is a girl to my heart!!! She was soooo right to give you an ultimatum! Give that girl a big hug from me!!!!
Glad you had the appointment with the doctor and I really hope this new antibiotic will do its job and get you back on your feet again.
Good sign already is that you want some coffee and something to eat! I know when not feeling well, appetite is the first things to go and just then we should take in some energy. So be a good girl, take some cereal, perhaps a little bowl of soup later today! And lots of rest and sleep, you will just have to follow the example Pogo gives you LOL!
Glad you already could post, I miss your posts, they always make a good start of my day.
So take care, listen to your daughter(LOL) and hopefully you will be back onto your feet again.
Hugs
Kyra
