Make Sure Your Clocks Are Set Back

November 3, 2013

Good morning.  Here I sit at work waiting for daybreak.  I'm hoping that the cloud cover will go away and that I can get a glimpse of the solar moon.  I would love to get a photograph of it.  Up until a while ago, the sky was clear enough for the stars to be visible.  Of course, now the clouds have moved in.  Ah well, maybe I'll get lucky.

I'm trying to decide whether or not I'm happy about being back to work.  I enjoyed not having to keep a work schedule, but then I did not get a paycheck either.  That part was the downer.  So I guess I'll just have  to keep on working for a while.  I enjoy the extras that my paycheck makes possible.

Yesterday, while I was out in the yard taking photos of the trim on the house, I took a few photos of some of the flowers that are still blooming.  What a pleasure to be able to look out the window in November and see color in the garden.  Here's what is still blossoming.

Gosh, I just looked up at the clock here, and saw that it was almost 6 a.m.  I started to get excited thinking that soon I could go home, but then I remembered that the clocks were to be set back during the night and it is only going on 5 a.m.  I would change the clock, but I can't reach it.  As soon as I do get home, I will have to change my own clocks.

Life has kept me busy lately and I was late in posting my image for the Queen Jester's Photoshop Friday challenge.  Here's the photo she gave us to work with, followed by my altered image.

If you enjoy photo manipulation and challenges, do stop by the Queen Jester's blog and join in the fun.  You can use any photo editing program that you have on your computer.  It's fun and it's good for keeping your brain young and energized.

Ever heard of chicken fried steak?  It is believed to be a Southern dish.  You cube a small tough piece of steak after pounding it into submission with a hammer.  Then you bread it lightly with breading similar to that used on chicken, and deep fry it.  Hmmm, I've never heard of it, but maybe one of these days I'll give it a try.

That's it for this morning folks.  I think I'll catch up on a bit of email while the Mrs is still asleep.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Thank you for the plug - your image is wonderful and I plan to post it today as well.

I've never had chicken fried steak but you make it sound tasty...I'll have to give it a try.

My husband loves chicken fried steak, but not me.

I looked for the eclipse this morning too, but it's too cloudy. What a disappointment.

didn't know you were back at work again. That makes a change, isn;t it? I agree, that the paycheck is wonderful, but the time you were off work was lovely too, hey? No real schedule to hold on too, I love that part of not being at work LOL.
Hope the Mrs is happy to have yu back!
Posting now on my blog, then we'll see what to do later.
