Good morning. Tis a bit wet and windy here in my little part of New England. I expected the wind and rain in the middle of the night, but it took a bit longer to actually get here and do its thing. It was rather quiet all night. Then around 7 a.m. the rain and wind started to pick up and now the wind is becoming a little bit feisty.
I just took a photo of the view through my storm door. It doesn't show the wind blowing, but you can see how wet is getting. Actually, in the few minutes since I took the photo, the rain is coming down harder. I think we're in for a lovely day.
Unfortunately, that's the only new photo I've taken lately. I do, however, have some interesting things that come to me via emails that are worthy of sharing.
This last one is just too precious not to pass along. It invokes all sorts of warm, soft, huggy feelings. It makes me want to pick up Pogo and hug him close to me.
This morning, I had a pbone call reminding me that I was supposed to have some things out on my porch for the Big Brother, Big Sister Foundation to pick up. Thank goodness the driver called me because Joe had forgotten to put all the bags out on the porch. There were a lot of bags, so I asked the driver to come in and take most of the bags, while I carried the last one out. Hopefully, a lot of this stuff will make life easier for someone.
As soon as I get through with all my gift wrapping, I will start filling more bags for the BBBS. This week I need to get out and buy some bags of dog and cat food to drop off at our local Ace Hardware store. They run an annual "help the animals in the shelters" drive. I also have a bag of blanketing to drop off with the food. Folks, this is something that everyone can do, and it will be most appreciated.
Some of my friends and family will be starting their Holiday celebration later today at sundown. To all of them, I wish you a very Happy Hanukkah. May you be blessed with much love and happiness.
Now I'm going to make a cup of coffee and whip up some breakfast for Pogo and me. So till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a fantabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

Stay dry. You are a kind and generous person. Happy Hanukkah and Happy Thanksgiving.
You have a big heart ... I have put my bags out a while back and need to do more, like you. Our Agility Group has a drive for animals ... we take it to the "Soup Kitchen" which provides food for the poor and animal food for those how have been out of work and can't afford to keep thier pets. We are hoping that if we provide food, they will keep thier pets in a warm safe place with them.
I am back from my friends. Her surgery went well and she had another friend coming to help her after I left. Then, of course, she will have family at her house for Thanksgiving so she is covered for the rest of the week. I have all of my Thanksgiving things to prepare yet and have to run out this morning to pick up my pies and see if I can find a store that has giblets for my stuffing and gravy. Can you imagine ... none of the regular grocery stores had them. I had to go to Trader Joe's to get Chicken livers and stil haven't found a store with the giblets. Don't They understand it is Thanksgiving. I swear, I sometimes feel like they are all plotting against me :( Do I sound a little paranoid? :)
Your weather sounds milder than the picture our weatherman painted. They were talking about big storms and cancelled flights out on the east coast ... planes can fly in the rain, so I just assumed you were going to get snowed on. We have a light dusting of snow on the ground ... enough to make Izzi happy and it is cold ... 13 degrees ... Brrrrr!
Can't think of anything else right now. I do have Willy here with me so I am guessing I will be posting some pictures soon :) You have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Edna ... you are blessed and have much to be thankful for and there are many out there that can be thankful for your kind heart. Happy Turkey day to Pogo as well ... Izzi says you will share your Turkey with Pogo and she is quite certain she will get in on the deliciousness as well. Be well and enjoy ...

We're having cold, wind and rain here as well. Tonight we actually put the furnace on. I may come to regret having put the quilt into a space bag and underneath in one of the bays! I have lots of smaller lap quilts that can be called into action though. It's supposed to get nice again tomorrow, so we just have to get through the night. I wonder where I could get a couple of warm fuzzy cats to curl up with.
Looks really wet in your oart of the world, but today it seems to be raining too a bit.
Jan is also up already, has to go shortly to his doctor, I want to do some things while he is out of the way LOL.
Such lovely quotes you have found and yes, the last one with the puppy sleeping with his teddy is adorable!
Try to stay dry, have a wonderful day.
Hug
Kyra
