Phones Versus Cameras

October 7, 2011

It's a beautiful sunny afternoon here.  I got up early this morning to give Tootsie her meds, then back to my warm little bed.  Come lunchtime, I decided it was time to get up and feed my little girl.  She has been so good.  Never complains, just asks for occasional hugs and pats.

I was reading an email, and got some very interesting news.  According to Photography BB Magazine, the iPhone is the number one camera used on Flickr.  Gosh, I hope this doesn't mean that my camera and lenses are going to be out of style anytime soon.  I did not realize that phone cameras were capable of taking good photos.  It seems I have a lot to learn.

Last week at work, I took more photos of the Mrs' hibiscus plant.  It's such a beautiful plant, I just couldn't resist taking more photos.

I'm hoping to work on my new calendar this afternoon.  It really should be finished before the end of October in order to have it printed before the holidays get here.  I'm down to choosing the last two or three photos.  Hmmmm!  Such a chore!

I also want to pick out a few photos to have enlarged and hung up in out TV sitting room.  I try to change them every couple of years.  This last hibiscus shot just might make it onto the wall.  Now I want to do a load of wash and maybe take Tootsie out into the yard for a little while.  Till tomorrow,
Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hahaaha, I think your camera will be used for a long time to go. Amazing still, that with a mobile or iPhone you can make pictures.
Your weather is better than ours here at the moment. Well, it's the time of year for it.
Enjoy your last day "off", take care.
Hugs

Gorgeous flowers. I don't think cameras on phones or ipads are as good as a regular camera....they are just easier and as people get more and more lazy it's appealing to them.
