Time To Get Back To Basics

August 23, 2022

Good morning.  Seems I forgot to post this past weekend.  And it's not because I'm busy.  I think this is the quietest year I've had in my whole life.

My whole life, I've been really busy.  However, since Covid 19 quieted everything down, my life has become wicked quiet.  I'm used to be going lots of places.  Nowadays, I don't go anywhere.  I used to have somewhere to drive (in my car) every day.  It's been over a year since I've last driven my car.

I didn't do any crocheting these past few days.  One of these days, I'll have to get back to it.  Otherwise, these afghans will never get finished.  For some reason, I just haven't been in the mood lately to crochet.

I found a picture of an unusual bird and thought I would share it.  It's a Magnolia Liliflora, and it is quite interesting.

Can you imagine having a garden full of flowers that look like birds?  Hmmm!  I think it would be quite interesting.

It's time now for me to check the refrigerator to see what's tasty for lunch.  So, till this weekend, you have a super week.

Hugs, Edna B.

I don't go places as much any more either. But I don't really miss shopping. I like to go out to the parks and trails or stay home! Enjoy your day. Hope your good tv programs are on today.

We have to adapt that our lives change from the time when we were young, I suppose. But luky there is tv and there you can have all kind of adventures, from being a detective (from your chair and watching a film, hahah, to nature adventures and learn always something from it.
Also here the crocheting has stopped, probably in winter time I will find something new to do. Now we are preapring for the new furniture, so we are sorting out the wall unit, almost done that.
How wonderful that magnolia is looking, it is really looking like a bird.
Hope yyour weather is okay and you can spend still some time on the porch.
Have a lovely week,
Hug
Kyra

Hi Edna, that flower really does look like a bird. In fact, before reading your blog, I thought they were birds:) It does seem harder to get up and go after having to be so careful when covid cases were so high. Later this week I plan to attend our State Fair. I usually go the first day as that's the day when it has the least attendance. I can hardly wait. Lots of great crafts on display... oh yes, great "eats" too:)

I have certainly missed your e-mail posts lately! Just thought I would check in and see how things are going. I'm not doing as much scrapping as before, seems I'm just not in the mood as you are with your crocheting. I stay busy doing little things each day to enhance my home and my fur kids, but other than that, not much of anything. We have had rain everyday for the past 2 months and the humidity is off the charts, so staying inside in the AC...reading, watching old reruns and/or playing games on my iPad or napping. Glad all is okay with you! Hugs,
Mat

Times have changed that's for sure, and I like you, have settled in to nest since the pandemic but I'm happy with my silence and less penciling-in on the calendar. Contentment in knowing if I wish to head out and go rendezvousing for the day I can, but mostly content to say home. Lovely to catch up with you Ms. Edna stay well !
Hugs,
~Jo

Covid transformed many of our lives, I think. Dave and I have also found that we go places far less often than we used to. Hope you climb back on those crocheting projects sometime soon!

Covid messed us up, well it messed up our routine. It did it to me too. I didn't have Covid but it kept me at home much more than I like and away from Family. I am trying to find things to do to get back going. Love the bird flowers:) Enjoy your day dear friend, HUGS!

Like many others, we also laid low during the pandemic, but we still ventured out to local outdoor places in NH for a walk or drive. You are not unusual in having your routine disrupted, Edna, as it seems we all "lost" so much the past couple of years. But, cooler fall weather is on the way (eventually) and maybe you will be able to get out for some local excursions with family.

I have been out of touch for a while with so much going on in my life and I was lost because of my illness but I'm stronger and I am here to tell you about a natural remedy that is guaranteed to make you wonder why your doctor didn't tell you about it. Then, on the other hand, it is pretty obvious why your doctor didn't, because that's not his job, is it? But, seriously, promise me you won't get too angry with your health practitioner, it's really not their fault. They can only practice what they're told to practice, right? When your health is at risk there's no time for Tom foolery, you've got to get down to the cause and nip it in the bud. So you've been suffering from painful gout attacks have you? Well, allow me to give you a new perspective on the solution to what plagues you I was once in your shoe until my college friend introduce me to Dr Itua herbal center which cure my hiv/herpes,Lymphedema, after drinking it for two weeks as instructed, Dr Itua is an africa herbal doctor who has natural power to cure all human illness diseases I believe Dr Itua so much because he help me cure my hiv/ herpes which has being my burden in life so I promised Dr Itua that I will testify about his work online after curing me and that is what I'm doing here so please if you are sick from those diseases do not hesitate to write Dr Itua Herbal Center On Email: drituaherbalcenter@gmail.com Or chat with him on his online store www.drituaherbalcenter.com
