First Weekly Post

 August 14, 2022

Good morning.  I realize that I missed posting the other day, but nothing seems to be happening here so there's not much to write about.  Therefore, I think I'll post once a week on Sunday mornings.

I'm watching a shopping channel on TV, and it's quite entertaining.  I enjoy listening to how the different items are explained.  For the last few minutes, they've been explaining the uses for a long handled brush.  I must say that it's been very entertaining.

Think about it.  If you have ten minutes to explain a very simple item, what exactly are you going to say?  Your item doesn't do anything special.  It's just a brush with a long handle.  It takes quite a talent to be one of these sales persons.

Here is the brush being sold.  Price is $12.00.  Nope, I did not buy it.

I'm thinking that today will be a crochet day.  I haven't spent much time crocheting lately, and I really should get back to it.  Otherwise these two afghans will never get finished this year.  I don't understand why I haven't been in the mood to crochet.

Right now, a new program is on the TV.  It's Classic Concentration.  I enjoy figuring out what the puzzles are.  I'll bet it would be fun to be a contestant on this program.  Hmmm.  Nice thought.

Now it's time to check the refrigerator and see what looks tasty for lunch.  So, stay safe and have a fantabulous week.

Hugs, Edna B.

Hi Edna, That brush you showed sure looks like a toothbrush. I just purchased an electric toothbrush from my dentist clinic as the clinic was selling them at cost to patients and my hygienist recommended me getting one. It does a much better job on cleaning my teeth than my manual toothbrush. I'm glad I bought it. Long ago I used to watch a TV show called Concentration hosted by Hugh Downs. I really liked the show. Have a good week!

Shws or quizprograms that really set your mind at work are fun to watch and trying to solve that is needed. And when you can answer a few qeustions right, you do feel so much better LOL.
Those brushed seem to be toothbrushes (electric ones). I don;t see the real difference between long handle and short one. But yes, the people who try to sell you those kind of things sometimes are masters in the explanation of the use and ou needing the article.
Good idea to post just once a week, just like me. Sometimes there is a lot happening in a week, but often there is not much going on to tell about and then once a week is just okay. (Sometimes I do note short on the calendar the things I did or that happened, so I cannot forget it, hahaha).
Have a wonderful week Edna, hope you have good weather and can spend time on the porch.

I agree, Edna, that it is amazing how those shopping shows can spend so much time describing such a simple item for which anyone can figure out the purpose easily. Like yourself, I would not have bought that product.

As for missing a day of posting, as you said, many times there is nothing to write about. My problem is just the opposite in that there seem to be too many things in my head. And, while I enjoy sharing with fellow bloggers, lately posts have been limited to only a few per week. Thanks for your recent comments, always appreciated.

Hi Edna!

I don't think it's my place to complain if you're not posting every day. It takes everything I've got to do a video once a week. But it's satisfying to do a video. I'll have to figure out if there's a way that I can do a straight upload of a video just for my blog. It's a lot easier than trying to type these days.

I leave comments when I can, but I try to keep up reading every couple of days.

I'll keep checking back for some thing you feel worth writing about!

I miss you, my friend!
Hugs, Nani

I loved all the old game shows. Today we watch Wheel of Fortune and occasionally Jeopardy. Although Jeopardy did not honor the wishes of the late Alex Trebek. Tacky, tacky, people.
