Happy Birthday Eddie And Mac

March 13, 2019

Good morning.  Gosh, with so much happening, I forgot to wish Happy Birthday to Eddie and Mac, my two sons in law.  Guys, I hope both your birthdays were awesome!  I love you.

Well, yesterday was a fun day for Beth and I.  We went to Old Town and strolled around, taking in all the new changes and additions.  Two of our favorite shops were still there though.  One of these is the Soap Company Store.

Folks, if you're ever in Kissimmee, do stop in here.  The smells in this shop are so delicious!  Oh my, such a wonderful treat for your nose.  Of course, my "smeller" doesn't work very well any more because of my oxygen, but I can still smell a little bit.  There is a soap, lotion, shampoo, body bomb and more to match every delicious smell.

The woman working at the shop is Doreen.  She has a little dog too, so we got to talking about Pogo's skin condition and the things I've been using for it.  She told me to try African Black Soap.  It's especially good for various skin conditions.  So I bought a bar of it for Pogo.  Later today, he'll have a bath with his new soap.  Here's a photo of Doreen and a photo of the soap.

I can take a small chunk of this soap and add it to a little spray bottle of water to make a soothing spray for Pogo's skin whenever he itches.  Of course, I got  a delicious smelling bar of soap for me too.  Here are some photos of the wonderful products in this shop.  And yes, we did get permission to take and share these photos.

Our other favorite shop is the "Black Market Minerals" shop.

This place is packed full of goodies from raw mineral rocks to jewelry, clothing and accessories and more.  Here's a photo of Beth finishing up her shopping here.

On the way home, we stopped by Checkers for lunch.  Then we were off to the flea market to see  what sort of trouble we could get in there.  Beth got a couple new outfits for herself, and I got a couple of pretty tops for me.  By now, we were getting tired, so we headed for home.

Today will be a lazy day I think.  It's really early (6:28 a.m.) and we haven't made any plans yet.  I woke up early and Pogo was hungry so I got up to make him some breakfast.  Right now, his tummy is full and he is asleep on the chair next to me.

I can't believe how quickly our time here is flying by.  In just four more days, we'll be on a plane headed home.  Vacations just aren't long enough!

Pretty soon though (in less than a week), it will officially be Spring.  Woo Hoo!  It's been a long cold winter and Spring will be so welcome.  Some parts of the country already have flowers blooming.  Hopefully, the winter snows are over now so that our flowers can start growing too.

Enough of my babble for today.  I think I'm going to make myself some breakfast now.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I've been reading your post but haven't left a comment because I am letting you spend as much time enjoying your vacation as you possibly can. You all are having fun and yes we have had 80 degree weather here. Everything is fully green and my garden is getting pretty. I had to replant my green beans because our last cold weather stunted them and I decided to just plant them over again. I see Pogo is having fun and sleeping away. Take care and keep enjoying your vacation.
