Enough With The Snow! We Want Spring!

February 28, 2019

Good morning.  Tis snowing still.  It started early last evening and it hasn't stopped.  The flakes are getting bigger and there's more of them than there was an hour ago.  This is not funny.  I had to go out today to do errands and now I can't.  My car is up to its elbows in snow.

Well, that decides what I am doing today.  I will get out my suitcase and start the packing process.  I will finish getting the mailer box ready and maybe Joe will take it to the Post Office for me later.  If not, it will get mailed tomorrow.  It also means that tomorrow I have to go get my shingles shot, and go to the Town Hall to get Pogo's license, snow or no snow.

DIL Janet came by yesterday after work and brought a bag full of goodies for our dessert.  Inside the bag was a box of scrumptious fudge brownies, and two smaller boxes each one holding a large cupcake.  I will post a photo of the cupcake that I ate last night, and I'll save the other photo to tempt your taste buds tomorrow.

How's this for a gorgeous cupcake?  It's called an Heirloom Cupcake.  Yum! Yum!  And it is a BIG cupcake!  (Yup, more than $5 for one cupcake!)

The other cupcake is just as gorgeous, but I'll save that photo for tomorrow.  I know, I am so bad sometimes!

I have been diligently working on my tax stuff.  Well, sort of.  I can comfortably set it aside while I pack.  While I have been sitting on the sofa with my tax stuff all around me, my awesome little Pogo has been right here with me.

Yup, that bunched up blanket is my little guy.  I mean, he is inside that pile of blanket.  He bunched it all up then crawled inside it and went to sleep.  You can see a pile of my tax stuff next to him.  He got as close to me as he could before making his nap nest.  You just gotta love this kid!

One of the dwarfs is home today, so he went out and shoveled a path to my doorstep so that the mailman can get to me.  As I look out my door, it looks if the snow is not coming down quite as heavily as it was a while ago.  There's only half as many flakes coming down, and they are half the size as before.  I hope this is a good sign.

Last night I finally got some decent sleep.  I did wake up a couple times, but I was able to get back to sleep.  Hopefully, this is the end of being awake all through the night.  I think maybe the fact that my tax stuff is almost done has a lot to do with this.

I have a lot to do today so I think I'll be going now.  First I'd like to leave you with a bit of wisdom that I borrowed from the web.  I hope this tickles your funny bone.

I'm off now, so till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.
