Got Lots To Do This Week

February 24, 2019

Good morning.  Today is a bit cloudy and wet.  Temp is 28F degrees, headed for possibly 40F degrees later today.  The weather forecast calls for a rainy day.  This will keep the ducks happy (hahaha) and at least it's not snow.

Well, yesterday I worked on the taxes for a while.  I'm making dents.  Not enough to be called done, but getting there.  Daughter Deanne came by and we had a really nice visit.  While she was here, she updated my Net 10 Hot Spot (that I bought last winter).  We bought a new thirty day card.  This way I'll have my own Wi-Fi while I'm in Florida.

When I get home from vacation, I'll look into other programs for the Net 10 to see which one is the most cost effective.  This is a handy little gadget to have when you are away from home and need reliable Wi-Fi.

This week, Deanne will set up my extra Amazon Fire Box so that I can take it to Florida with me.  This way I'll have a much better choice of programs to watch on TV.  The resort's cable only offers a few channels.

Today I will start getting my "mailer box" filled.  I think I'll mail it on Thursday.  That way it will get to me by Monday.  I can't believe how quickly I'm running out of time to get all these things done before I leave.

I don't have any new photos to share so I've dug into my archives for a couple photos that I took seven years ago.  This first photo was taken at 6:30 n the evening on the 24th of February.

The rain must have changed over to snow because this next photo was taken the next morning (February 25) at 8:30.  Wow, quite a difference!

I like looking back at these older photos to see the difference in the weather then and today.  It was wet then and wet today.  As long as tomorrow does not bring the snow, I'll be happy.

I'm thinking that today I really should do another backup on my laptop.  Just because!  I was going to spend some time working on quick pages but I think the backup is more important.  While everything is backing up, I can be working on my taxes.  I have just six days to get them ready for my accountant.   I will call him tomorrow to make an appointment to see him in March.

Another thing that I did on Friday was to call the insurance broker to find out when they will be sending me the bill for my house insurance.  They are rather slack because every year I have to call and ask for this bill.  It's sad because the bill is due on March 1.

Well, they said they will send the bill right away.  Meanwhile I had to tell them that I have already spent all the money on fixing the furnace, so would they give me an extension on the due date.  They said no problem.  I'll send them half of the money this week, and the rest the end of March.  They said I could wait till the middle of April if I needed to.  Awesome!  Another weight lifted!

Today I have another new quick page for you.  This one is just a bit of whimsy.  Nature's kids are enjoying a warm, sunny Spring day.  Have you noticed?  I'm trying to think Spring in hopes of hurrying it along.

This morning I've been watching Jewel School on JTV.  Today they are featuring bead stringing projects.  While they are selling all the things you need for these projects, they are showing you how to do the bead stringing.  They also demonstrated how to crochet the beads into really pretty necklaces.  Hmmm, really interesting!

Enough of my babble.  I'm off to do a bit of blog reading before getting started on today's chores.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Edna,
Really love the photos. I think that the difference in the night and morning are just incredible.
I thank you also for the QP... Such whimsy is too precious in hopes of spring. I am ready for some Florida sunshine.

Talk to you soon... Hugs, Beth
