Shall We Dance?

January 31, 2017

Good morning.  Tis sunny and cold at the moment, but the forecast says we might be getting snow today.  Hmmm, we'll see.  It's really hard to forecast the weather here, and get it right.  Tomorrow is supposed to be the warmest day of this week, so I guess Pogo and I will go to Town Hall tomorrow and pay the taxes and get his new dog license.

Actually, the bill is due tomorrow, so I have to go whether I want to or not.  No more procrastinating, I've run out of time.  Somehow, that's me though.  I put things off till I can't anymore.  Especially if it means going out.  I'm not so keen on going places alone anymore.

Yesterday, Deanne came by after work and we went to the shooting range.  My daughter is really good with the bigger pistol, whereas I'm better with the .22 pistol.  Deanne did awesome, as usual.  My right hand was hurting quite a bit (arthritis) but still I didn't do too badly.  Here's my target sheet.

Last night, I finished up the hat I was crocheting.  Here's a photo of the whole set (scarf and hat).

I have another scarf almost finished.  This one is a light orchid color.  Once it's finished, and the hat is made, I'll go back and make hats for the other scarves too.  I think some scarves will have fringe, while some hats will have a pom pom on the top.

Last evening, I rinsed my dishes and left them in the kitchen sink.  As soon as I finish this post, I'll have to get them washed.  I prefer washing them as soon as they are used, but sometimes it can't be helped.

How about some sassy trivia?  Did you know that Grand Duke Alexis Romanov, son of the Czar of Russia, spent his 22nd birthday hunting buffalo in Nevada with Buffalo Bill Cody and General Custer?

I'll bet you didn't know that Henry Ford, the automobile magnate, published an instructional dance book in 1926.  It was titled "Good Morning",   and subtitled  "After a Sleep of Twenty-Five Years, Old-Fashioned Dancing is Being Revived by Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ford."

Well that's my news for this morning.  I'm off now to wash those dishes.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a magnificent day.

Whatever Happened To The "Directions On How To Use"?

January 30, 2017

Good morning.  Tis another sunny and cold winter day here in my little part of New England, and my flag is dancing away in the breeze.  I had planned on going out this morning to do a couple errands, but I have to stay in and wait for the fuel delivery.  No problem, Pogo and I will do our errands tomorrow.

Yesterday, Pogo had his annual check up, and we got his new travel paper.  When his doctor came into the exam room, she was so surprised at how good and young Pogo looks.  After the exam, she said that Pogo is in very good health.  Woo Hoo!!!  My little guy will be eleven years old in April, but he still thinks (and acts like) he's a puppy.

This morning I took a photo of the fascinating book that I'm reading, just in case anyone wants to look up a copy.  It's really hard to put the book down because it is full of such interesting articles.

Did you know that in 1907, Fort Dodge, Iowa, passed a law requiring everyone from ages 25 to 45 to wed?  Or that America's first "sparkling water" was made using sulfuric acid and marble chips left over from New York City's St. Patrick's Cathedral?

The mail was just delivered, along with a box containing my new portable nebulizer.  I checked this out and it has left me quite confused.  The user manual doesn't tell you much about the unit except for all the things you should never do with it.  It comes with little filters, but I'll be darned if I know what to do with them or where they go.  I guess I'll have to call the company that I bought it from and ask a few questions.

Ever wonder why manufacturers call that little booklet/leaflet that comes with their products a "user manual"?  There's usually not very much information in it about how to use the product.  A lot of these companies don't even have a manual in printed form.  I did find a company on-line who will print you out a copy of a manual (for a fee, of course).  But that's usually only for things like phones, tablets, etc.

I borrowed an image that I found on the web to share with you.  When my brother and I were kids, our mother taught us to always kiss her good bye when we would leave the house to go to school or somewhere else.  She always said "You never know if you'll see me again."  Her mom and her had an argument one morning before my mother left for school.  My mother was twelve years old, and she never saw her mother alive again.  Her mother was only forty years old.

I taught this to my kids too.  Always kiss me hello and goodbye and say "I love you."  You just never know.  This is a good rule to practice.

Well, I'm off now to make my phone call and get a few things done while I'm waiting for the fuel delivery.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

A Little Privy Information For You

January 29, 2017

Good morning.  Tis sunny and cold here, a normal winter day.  My little alarm clock woke me up early this morning.  He can smell coffee perking a mile away.  If it's not a workday, Joe makes a pot of coffee (out in the main part of the house) in the morning.

It seems as if Pogo can smell the first hot little drop of coffee going into the pot because that's when he barks at me till I get up.  Pogo feels that as long as Joe is up, he should feed him his turkey treat.  There's just one little snafu.  Pogo won't go get his turkey treat unless I go with him.  Ergo, I have to get up.

Pogo and I have to leave in a couple hours because he has an appointment at the hospital to get his annual check up and a "travel letter" saying that he is okay to travel on the plane.  Tomorrow, we'll go to Town Hall and get his new dog tag.

I took photos of some of the doggie food that His Majesty will eat.  If your fur baby (doggie or kitty) is also a picky eater, you might want to try this.

Last night, I started a new hat to match one of the scarves, and I almost finished it.  However, I did not like the way it was looking so I ripped it all out and started a different hat pattern.   This one's the same pattern I used to make a hat for my daughter Laura Jean.  I like this one much better, and I'll take a photo when it is finished.

I have this very interesting book that I'm reading.  It's from Reader's Digest, and is titled "America's Forgotten History."  Did you know that Charles "Chic" Sale wrote a book called "The Specialist" in 1929, and it became one of publishing's great success stories?  It was about a rural carpenter and his philosophy of privy building.  (In case you don't know, a privy is an outhouse.)  Within a few years, this 28 page booklet sold over a million copies.

This is just one of the bits of knowledge you will gain by reading this book.  By the way, as a teenager, we had the only three seater in the neighborhood.  Actually, I think we had the only privy in the neighborhood.  After spending one winter in our new house, my dad built an indoor bathroom on to the house.  Ohhh, it felt sooooo good not to have to go truckin' out through the snow and rain and cold weather anymore.

As I come across other interesting stories, I'll share them with you.  Right now, it is time for me to get dressed so that Pogo and I are not late for his doctor appointment.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Busy, Busy, Busy

January 27, 2017

Good morning.  Tis cloudy outside at the moment, but the temperature is near 40F degrees.  I haven't decided yet if Pogo and I will go out today to do errands.  We'll see how I feel in a couple hours.

Yesterday, Pogo and I went shopping to buy him a supply of doggie food.  I think Pogo likes that pet supply store.  The people are friendly, there's lots of goodies everywhere and it's a great place to meet lots of other doggies.

I also wanted to stop by Pearle Vision to order new glasses, but decided to do that another day.  Depending on how my breathing is, I can only do so much at one time.  Besides, it was mid afternoon and I wanted to get home before the school buses started their afternoon routes.  Driving home behind the buses is not a fun thing to do.  It's stop and start all the way home.

In the evening, I spent a little time on my laptop working on a new quick page, and then it was time to purchase airline tickets for our vacation.  Pogo's ticket price is the same; but wowsie, the regular ticket prices have gone up quite a bit.  I usually travel Jet Blue and I have a lot of points saved up on my travel account, plus I had a $75 credit from last year's trip to Florida.  Between the points and the credit, the price of my ticket was cut by half.  That's definitely good news!

Next I have to arrange for the rental car.  I'll wait a while to do this.  I have found that booking the rental car so far in advance isn't always the best idea.  While I'm gone, dwarf Helen will water all the plants in the main part of the house, and DIL Janet will take my house plants home with her.  SIL Eddie will come by and take care of things in the house for me.

Now I mainly just have to focus on those pesky taxes.  I'd like to get my portion of the work finished in the next two weeks.  Once this is done, I'll feel much better.  I also have to make an appointment for Pogo at the beauty salon.  This weekend, he has an appointment with his doctor for a check up and to get his travel papers.  (You need these to fly on the plane)

Today I'm in a really good mood, so I'm going to post another quick page for you.  This one is very "Springy".  Can you tell I'm a hurry for Spring to get here?  haha.

Oh, The Woes Of Senior Health Insurance

January 26, 2017

Good afternoon.  No, I did not sleep late today.  I've spent the whole morning on the phone with my health insurance company and my doctor's office.  DIL Janet went to pick up my meds yesterday, and for some reason the pharmacy did not fill all of them with the right amounts.

I also found out that because I have a new insurance company this year, I will need to get prior authorizations for a lot of my meds.   Wow, anything to screw up my meds and payments.  After spending more than two hours on the phone with the insurance company, I was able to get a lot of this taken care of.  (I hope)

The mailman should be here in another hour or so, and then Pogo and I will go out to buy his food.  Hopefully, any rain that may be on the radar will hold off until we get back home.  Later, I'll cook the goulash that I was going to make last night.  DIL Janet and I decided last night to have pizza for our supper.

The mailman just got here.  Be back shortly..........Well, I got the mail, and distributed the dwarfs' mail to them.  While I was out in the main house, I noticed an article on their newspaper.  (a different newspaper than the one that I get.)  There's a huge story about how our governor and mayor are going to house illegals in the City Hall building.  Marty Walsh says he will also refuse any federal moneys paid to us taxpayers if it means turning away the illegals.  The illegals will all be supported with our (us taxpayers) money.

Mr. Walsh, why not just have all the illegals live at your own exquisite abode, and support them all with your own personal funds?  With the big fat pay raises the State politicians are giving themselves soon, you all should be able to take on the cost of the illegals using only your paychecks, and still have enough money left over to live on.

This topic is about to bring on another rant, so I'll just take my leave here and get ready to take Pogo shopping.  I'm going to be needing that two week vacation in Florida just to give my mind a rest.  Here's what Pogo and I will be looking out at in a few weeks.  Ohhh, I love those palm trees!!

That's it for today.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

A Bit Of Whimsey For You

January 25, 2017

Good morning.  The wind is rather brisk outside, but the sun is shining and the rain has stopped.  The temperature is around 37F degrees, and will work its way up to about 41 degrees by noontime.  This is good because I will have to be going out in a couple hours to pick up my meds and some food for Pogo.

Yesterday was a quiet day here.  The person from the insurance company came out (in the pouring rain) to inspect the house.  She took some photos and a walk around the property and left.  After that, Pogo and I had ourselves a little nap.

A few days ago, I picked up a few new scrapbook kits, so I spent some time in the afternoon making a few new quick pages.  Time flies by quickly when I do this because it is so relaxing.  There's something soothing about the creative process.

I have two crocheted scarves almost finished, so I think tonight I'll finish them up.  After that, I think I'll make a matching hat for all the scarves.  At least that's what I'm planning on doing.  This project should keep me busy for most of the year.

Today I have a new quick page for you.  This one is just a bit of cheerful whimsy.  I'm trying to help Spring to get here quicker.  Think it will work?

Here is your download link:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/c25pu7tkapj6i27/EB_-_QP_2017_-_05.zip

Now I think I'll get ready to go out and do a few errands.  This afternoon I also want to spend a couple hours working on my tax stuff.  DIL Janet is supposed to be coming by after work later today.  I think I'll make a sort of goulash with kielbasa, potatoes and veggies for supper.  Mmmm, just thinking about that makes me hungry!

That's my news for today.  So till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hello Rain!

January 24, 2017

Good morning.  Well, the rain finally got here last night, and is still raining.  My arm is feeling so much better now.  Only my fingers on that hand hurt now.  I can handle that.  It's probably because I was crocheting for a while very early this morning.  Sleep was very piece meal throughout the night, so I got up and crocheted a bit.

After that, I decided I may as well get up and make breakfast for Pogo and me.  He is doing really good with the new doggie food.  I've slipped in a couple other brands, but he won't eat them.  So I guess we'll stick with the Blue Buffalo Wilderness.  I'll have to go online and find out where I can buy this doggie food while we're in Florida.

Well, all my breathing meds got phoned to the pharmacy yesterday.  I'll have to call later today to find out when they will be ready for pick up.  When I go to pick up the meds, I'll have to stop by the  pet supply store and pick up more food for Pogo.  Goodness know, I don't want to chance running out of it.

I got a phone call yesterday from the house insurance agent.  They are sending someone out early this morning (in about an hour) to check out the house.  I do wish they had given me more notice.  Most everyone will be at work, so this person won't be able to see any of the rooms.  Maybe when she gets here, I'll ask her to come back on a day when everyone is at home.

I borrowed this drawing from the web to share with you.  It's such a true statement.  So if you're looking for a kitty or a doggie to love, check your local pet shelters.  There are so many beautiful fur babies looking for a forever family and home.

I also found another interesting picture.  Did you ever wonder why doggies don't like to go outside in the rain?  I always thought that they just did not like being out in the rain.  Most of us don't either.  But the real reason is because rain amplifies sounds and their ears are so sensitive that it can be too intense for them.  Hmmm, so now you know.

Well, I think I'll get dressed.  I'm hoping the insurance lady comes here on time.  I'd like to take a short nap when she leaves.  After that, we'll see just how much I can cross off my "to do today" list.  Plus, I want to work in Photoshop for a while to play with the new scrap kits that I picked up a couple of days ago.

That's all the news for this morning.  I know, another pretty dull day.  Ah, but it is another day, and I'm thankful for it.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have an awesome day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Rain, Rain, Hurry Up And Get Here!

January 23m 2017

Good morning.  And yes it is a good morning.  Most of the pain in my arm is gone, While I was sleeping, we had a bit of rain and snow mixed.  Right now, it is down to a fine mist of wetness.  Whatever, it works for me.

Well, today should be busy.  I have to call my doctor and have all my meds phoned in to the pharmacy.  I also need to have him phone in a medicine to use in my nebulizer.  I'm going to order a new machine (nebulizer), one that is small enough to take with me when I travel.  The one that I have is a bit too heavy to pack in my suitcase.

I also want to call in an order for two of those "Great Courses".  I'm thinking I might enjoy "Writing Creative Nonfiction" and "Writing Great Fiction".  No, I'm not planning on writing a book, but I do love writing and learning new skills.

This past Friday, two new tiny blossoms opened on my Orange Jasmine plant.  The blossoms don't last very long so I took a few photos.  I blurred the backgrounds in Photoshop to make the blossoms stand out better.

Gosh, I do believe we'll be getting more precipitation sometime today.  My hand and arm are beginning to ache again.  Here's hoping that the rain gets here soon.  Gosh, is that me wishing for rain??  haha.

I tried to put a few rows on the new scarf that I'm crocheting, but I had to set it down.  After the rain is done, I'll work on it again.  I did download a photo of the yarn to show you how pretty it is.   This is called "Antique."

Now I think I'll get busy and write my list of meds that the doctor needs to call in for me.  Oh my goodness, I just looked up at my door, and it is snowing again.  This should be interesting because it is also a bit windy and the flakes are blowing every which way.

I'm off now.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

RIP Sweet Birdie

January 22, 2017

Good morning.  Today is cloudy, and I think we're in for a day or two of rain.  My right hand is hurting so bad this morning, so I hope you'll understand if I don't write very much today.  Once the rain gets here, most of the hurt will go away.  It's called arthritis.

Yesterday morning I got quite a shock when I got up and looked outside.  There were birdie feathers everywhere.  They were all over my car and on the ground all along the side of my car.  Here's a couple photos that Joe took of the scene before he cleaned most of it up.

Pogo and I must have been sound asleep because we never heard a sound when this happened.  It saddens me, but now I know why I haven't seen very many little birds lately.  Hopefully, this predator will move on to a different neighborhood soon.

I probably won't be working much on my taxes today because there is a lot of writing involved.  Maybe I'll just use the day to watch TV and read.  At least until my hand stops hurting.  I won't be able to do much crocheting either.  That's a shame because I picked up a new color yarn yesterday and started a new scarf with it.  Actually, I got enough yarn to make a matching hat.  I'll take a photo when it is finished.

Well, it's getting difficult to type, so I'll take my leave here.  Till tomorrow folks, Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

A New Day, A New President, Donald J. Trump

January 20, 2017

Good afternoon.  I've been busy watching the inauguration of our new President, Donald J. Trump.  It leaves me with a good feeling.  Today I have hopes for our future.  I enjoyed President Trump's speech very much.  It's so good to hear that God is still so very important to us.

I don't get into religious rants, but I do believe that everyone has the right to believe, to have faith, and to pray.  May God bless each and every one of us as we try to come together again.  We are all so different in our own ways, but we are all so very much alike.  God Bless America.

Well, the inauguration is over now, and the festivities will begin.  I'm watching the President and his First Lady walk up the stairs in front of the White House, and I'm thinking "Wow!"  I would never be able to do that.  I wouldn't have enough breath to make it up even a quarter of those stairs!  (But the thought of even trying to this is awesome!)

Here are a few photos from the Inauguration that I borrowed from the web.

I should also mention how beautiful our new First Lady looks today.  Melania Trump makes me think of Princess Diana.  I adored Diana, and loved her impeccable fashion sense.  Another First Lady who was also very fashionable was Jackie Kennedy.  Hmmm, I have a Princess Diana doll in my collection.  I'll have to see about getting a Frist Lady Melania doll too.

Well, that's enough of my happy babble for today.  I want to watch the rest of the news coverage on TV.  So, till Sunday, Y'all have an awesome weekend.

Hugs, Edna B.

Tomorrow's A Big Day! Turn Your TV Set On And Watch The Inauguration Of Our Next President!!

January 19, 2017

Good morning.  Well my goodness, there is a light layer of white stuff everywhere on the ground.  The snow man must have come by while I was sleeping.  Hopefully, all the snow will be gone in just a few hours.  The sun has just made an appearance, so perhaps it will melt away the snow.

I got an email this morning, alerting me about how some folks are going to be trying to sabotage the TV coverage ratings of President Trump's inauguration.  It is so very sad to see how petty and hateful some folks are.  It's time for all these "nay sayers" to pull up their big person panties and grow up.

We have elected this man to do his best to help solve some of the problems our country is facing.  I say we should all get behind him and do what we can to help him achieve his goals for our great country.  I, for one, will be watching the inauguration tomorrow on TV.  I hope all of you will be watching too.

About a year ago, I got a catalogue in the mail about different educational courses that were being offered.  A couple days ago I got a new copy of this catalogue.  "Great Courses" are being offered at highly reduced prices.  Here's a photo of the catalogue and a few of the courses being offered.

They have a couple of creative writing classes that I do believe I might like to order.  The classes come on either DVD or CD, and are accompanied by a text book.  It also includes free streaming to any of your devices that you might prefer.  Yup, I definitely think I'm going to order a couple classes for myself.  I love learning, and writing can be super interesting.  Okay, so I'm a nerd of sorts!

Did I tell you that my newest blog book arrived a couple days ago?  Wowee!  This one is super!  As the years go by, so does the appearance of the blog books.  They get better and better.  So, if you're planning on making a book and  taking advantage of the latest sale, do it.  You'll be pleasantly surprised.

DIL Janet came by after work yesterday, and we had a fun evening watching the final episodes of our favorite TV program while we ate lasagna.  Mmmm, supper was quite tasty!!  But then, it always tastes better when it is shared with someone you love.

Well, now it's time for me to get busy around here.  Oh yeah, those pesky taxes are still sitting here waiting for me.  Yuk Yuk!  So till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Such A Simple Cure For Colds And Flu!!

January 18, 2017

Good morning.  It's been raining lightly since last evening.  It's good to look outside and see some puddles instead of piles of snow everywhere.  Don't get me wrong, snow is nice.  As long as it disappears shortly after it gets here.

I think the January blues are settling in here.  I just don't want to get out of bed in the morning to start the new day.  If it weren't for Pogo, I probably would give in to the temptation of staying in bed all day sometimes.  Thank goodness though, my little guy keeps me going.  I have to get up to feed him and change his pee pads, and as long as I'm up I may as well stay up.

It must be the need and want to be outdoors in the fresh air that does this to some of us older folks.  That yearly trip to sunny Florida helps to chase away these winter blues.  Just looking forward to going there is as helpful as the actual trip.

There is one good thing about staying indoors though.  I have fewer chances of catching all the nasty germs and viruses that are going around this time of year.  My friend Rhoda sent me an adorable story about how not to get sick during this cold and flu season.  I'd like to share it with you.

It seems that Miss Beatrice, the church organist who was in her eighties, had never been married and was admired for her sweetness and kindness.  One afternoon, the pastor came to call on her and she showed him into her quaint sitting room.  She invited him to have a seat while she prepared tea.

As he sat facing her old Hammond organ, the young minister noticed a cute glass bowl sitting on top of it.  The bowl was filled with water.  Floating in the water, of all things, was a condom.  When Miss Beatrice returned with tea and scones, they began to chat.  The pastor tried to stifle his curiosity about the bowl of water and its strange floater, but soon it got the better of him and he could no longer resist.

"Miss Beatrice," he said pointing to the bowl, "I wonder if you would tell me about this?"  "Oh yes" she replied.  "Isn't it wonderful?  I was walking through the park a few months ago and I found this little package on the ground.  The directions said to place it on the organ, keep it wet, and that it would prevent the spread of disease.  Do you know that I haven't had the flu all winter?"

Wow, such an easy remedy!  Who'd a thunk it?  Well, I hope you enjoyed this little story.  It certainly put a smile on my face.  Thanks, Rhoda.

Today I have a new quick page for you.  This one might be good for some of your photos that were taken when it was snowing.

Here is your download link:

Last night I noticed that there are two new tiny flower buds on my Orange Jasmine plant.  They're only buds, but they do smell good.  Gosh, I can only imagine how gorgeous this plant is going to be in the Spring when I can put it outdoors in the sunshine.  Here's a photo of these tiny little flower buds.  It's amazing how something so tiny can also chase away the winter blues!

Well, now I think I should try to find some mischief to get into.  This shouldn't be very hard to do.  I have stacks of tax stuff staring me right in the face!!  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a beautiful day.

A Nice Blog Book Deal For You

January 17, 2017

Good morning.  Tis chilly outside, but the sun is shining, so that helps.  I should go out to do an errand, but I think I'll wait for another day.  There's so much to do in such a short time to be able to go on vacation without any worries.

Every time I think I have all the bills and taxes covered, another tax bill comes in.  It seems there's not a month goes by when there are no tax bills due.  I can't remember a time when we had so many tax bills coming due all through the year.

We don't really have any new services in our town, so that leads me to think that we have fewer tax payers.  We haven't built any new schools, but the town is always looking for private donations to help pay for the school expenses.  Where do all the students come from?  Surely they come from families who also pay taxes?

I wonder what happens to a town or city when all the tax payers move out.  Who pays all these taxes then?  If cities and towns can give tax breaks to businesses then I wonder why they can't do the same for the homeowners.  Shouldn't there be incentives to persuade homeowners not to move away?

In the midst of all this, I can't figure why some of our cities and towns are wanting to become sanctuary cities for illegals (and illegal criminals).  How on earth are we supposed to pay for this when we can't even handle the taxes we already have?

How about something good?  Those of you who have a blog, and want to make blog books, why not visit Blog2Print.com.  They are running a special where you can get 25% off your order when you use the promo code BOOKIT25.  The deal ends January 24th.  (no, I don't get paid to support this site, but my book has already been ordered so I thought I would pass this deal on to you.)

Here's a portion of my shelf full of blog books.  Not only are they a nice way of leaving a bit of history behind for your family, they are also fun to sit and look through every once in a while.  There are so many memories tucked away into these books.

Well, I've made a tiny little dent in my taxes.  I guess that's what I'll be doing most all today.  I'd like to get enough of it done to be able to take time off over the weekend.  I still need to get airline tickets for Pogo and me, and I'll need to arrange for a rental car for while we're in Florida.  Then I need to seriously practice packing a verrrrrry light suitcase!!

Well, now I think I'll refresh my cup of coffee, and get started on those pesky taxes.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Goodness, How Quickly My Plans Change!

January 16, 2017

Good morning.  The sun is shining, so I guess we're in for another nice day.  Yesterday, Pogo and I went shopping at a Pet Supply store, and bought a bagful of doggie food.  There were quite a few big doggies in the store with their families, so naturally Pogo was in doggie heaven.  He loves big doggies!!

And yes, so far he is still eating the doggie food.  I wish the food had just a wee bit more bulk to it.  It is very soft, and Pogo has no jaw bone or any teeth, so he has a difficult time getting the food up off the plate.  When he licks the food, it just sort of sticks to the plate even more.  We'll have to work on this.

Today, I'm planning on spending a couple hours on my tax stuff, and one or two hours on "housey" stuff.  Then hopefully I can have me a nap.  I didn't sleep all that good last night, so a nap will feel good.

Today I have an interesting (at least to me) photo to share.  I dug into my archives for it.  This photo was taken a while ago on an early Spring morning.  There was frost and dew on the plants, creating some very interesting designs.

Hmmm, the more I look at this photo, the more ideas I get.  On one side I see a fossil, and on the other side I see stars and celestial bodies in the heavens.  It might be very interesting to play with this photo in Photoshop.

I may decide to re-arrange my chore schedule for today.  Pogo is already curled up inside his new fuzzy blanket and dreaming away.  Maybe I should do a short nap too, then get to the taxes and house stuff.  Yeah, sounds like a pretty good plan.

On that note, I think I'll close here and crawl into my blanket too.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.  Hugs, Edna B.

Good News To Share

January 15, 2017

Good morning.  It's early so I don't know yet if we'll have sunshine today or not.  Temps will be in the mid 30's.  I think they are supposed to go up a few degrees starting tomorrow.  Super!

How about an update on the new doggie food?  Well, the first little can just wasn't to Pogo's liking.  He wouldn't even give it a try.  So, out in the garbage it went.  But, would you believe that he has already eaten most all of the food in the other two little cans?

I told him that I would take him to the store sometime today to buy more of this particular brand.  I do believe it is Blue Buffalo's recipe for teeny tiny doggies.  Whatever it is, as far as I'm concerned it is pure gold as long as my little guy will eat it.

Well, Friday afternoon, Deanne and I went to the shooting range.  I must say, I didn't do to bad at all.  However, Deanne got a perfect score.  Woo Hoo!!  We go back in two weeks, and this time we'll be using a bigger pistol.  (a Glock)  I joined the NRA and signed up for their magazine so that I can keep current on gun laws and changes.  Now that Deanne has her license, she'll be joining too.

Today I'll start for real to work on my tax figures.  I'd like to get them done before the next two weeks are up.  So before I get started, I'll make sure I have my bottle of Excedrin Migraine on hand.  I'll be needing it.

For those readers who enjoy herbal teas, I borrowed this image from the web to share.  It explains why you should always have these five teas on hand.  Not only are they good for you, they are all very tasty.

I see the sun is shining now which means that it should be a good day for Pogo and me to get out to shop for doggie food.  Actually, Pogo doesn't really care why we are out, as long as we are out!  He loves riding in the car.  He loves shopping too because then he gets to meet lots of new people.

Well, that's my news for today.  I want to do a bit of blog reading before it's time to go shopping.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Congratulations Dee Dee!!!

January 13, 2017

Good morning.  And a lovely morning it is indeed!  The sun is shining, and the temperature is 43F degrees.  After today, we'll have a few days in the 30's, then it is supposed to get back up into the 40's for a little while.  Wouldn't it be nice if we could make it through the whole winter with these temps?  Oh dream on girlie, dream on!!

Today I have good news.  Yesterday, daughter Deanne went to the Police Station and picked up her new LTC.  (license to carry)  And later this afternoon, she and I are going to the shooting range for a bit of practice.  Woo Hoo!!

Last evening, DIL Janet came by after work.  We had such a good time chatting that we didn't even watch an episode of our favorite TV show.  We'll save that for next week.  Later, when I closed my eyes to go to sleep,  um --- I actually slept until eight o'clock this morning.  Wow!!  That hasn't happened in quite a while.

Well, this morning I gave Pogo a dish of one of the new doggie foods.  He actually gave it a "two second" look, no sniff, and walked away.  Well, my goodness!  Did I really expect any other reaction?  Hmmm, I wonder how he'll be liking supper tonight.  It's going to be more doggie food.  Gosh, I wonder if dog whisperers are expensive to hire.  Maybe one of them could find out why Pogo doesn't want to eat his doggie food.  Ah, just thinking out loud.

This morning I played a bit in Photoshop, just for fun.  I took a couple of photos, enhanced the sky colors in them, blended the two together, applied a few filters and voila!!  A new background overlay!  Here's a layout showing the two photos, the blending and the finished product.

One can still do a lot more with this image.  New colors and filters can be applied, the lighting can be changed, etc.  I think I'm going to play with it a bit more.  I have a few ideas that I want to try.  If you want to try it, send me a picture of what you come up with.

Marie Osmond is on TV showing off that snazzy new figure of hers (gosh, I sound jealous!!) that she got from eating the food from Nutrisystem.  She's not telling anyone that the fifty pounds that she lost would be dangling from her arms, legs and belly had she not been at the gym every single day that she was dieting.  A friend of mine tried this system.  It really did work, but she had to go to the gym and exercise early every morning before going to work in order to keep the new flab firm.

Ah well, the morning is dwindling away, and I really should do a few things around here.  So, until Sunday, Y'all have a fantabulous weekend.

Hugs, Edna B.

Trying Some New Food With Pogo

January 12, 2017

Good morning (for ten more minutes!).  No, I did not sleep in late this morning.  I got up rather early, but spent time reading blogs and checking emails.  I had an early appointment with my orthopedic doctor for a follow up on my elbow and wrist.  They are healing really good.  I don't have to go back for another three months.

On the way home, I stopped by a new pet supply store nearby to see if they carried some of the better brands of doggie food in single cans.  When I try to order on-line, I have to order a whole case.  I don't want to do this because I'm only trying new foods with Pogo.

I'd like to keep him mostly on doggie food if possible.  Good luck to me!!  I was able to pick up a few different small cans of Blue Buffalo food.  They cost  a lot more money, but if he will eat it, it's worth it.  Tonight we'll try the chicken dinner.  Here's hoping!!

I found a couple images on-line that I thought I'd like to share.  I love cardinals so this first image really makes me smile.  Here's wishing you all lots of cardinals.

This next image rather says it all.  The most important things in life cannot be bought with money.

Now I really need to get busy around here.  There's a few things that I need to do before DIL Janet gets here.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a beautiful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Oh What A Gorgeous Day!!

January 11, 2017

Good morning.  Goodness, the sun is shining and it is 47F degrees!  According to the forecast, the temperature should hit 50 degrees by noon.  Oh my, I can definitely handle this!!  Tomorrow is also supposed to hit 50 degrees, but with some rain.  I wonder if this is our January thaw?

There's not very much snow left anymore.  Between the rain last evening and these warm temps, most all of the snow has melted.  Oh be still my heart!  It is soooo good to look out and see just a few puddles here and there.

Yesterday was one of those days where I was busy all day, but for the life of me I can't figure out what kept me so busy.  I did a lot of little things, but nothing really earth shattering.  The first thing I did was to catch up on some blog reading.  Then I paid some bills and went crazy looking for a misplaced deposit slip.  I finally called the bank to verify that the deposit actually was made.

I spent a little time gathering some materials that I will need for my taxes.  I will have to start spending some serious time getting all these figures rounded up and written down.  Groan, groan.  Some of my time was spent on the web checking out plane fares and availability for the dates that I will be travelling.

As I was going from one task to another, the day was slipping by.  I sent a text message to DIL Janet to ask if she was over her cold yet and was she coming by for supper.  A little later, Janet called me to say yes, she was over her cold but she would not be coming by for supper.  Yesterday was only Tuesday, and she comes over on Wednesdays.  Hmmm, did I just lose a day?  Or did I gain a day?

Now I had to change my plans about what to make for supper.  In the evening, I washed the dishes, and spent some time on my laptop doing a couple jig saw puzzles.  Before turning in for the night, I put a few more rows on the newest scarf.  This one is the Flamingo color.  Very pretty!

When I think back to how much I could accomplish in any given day when I was younger, I'm amazed at how I did it.  I mean, think about it.  Everything I did yesterday could probably have been done in just a couple of hours a few years ago.  I'd have still had the whole day to do lots of other things.

Ah well, retirement does have its advantages.  We can slow down our daily activities, and we have more time to stop along our way and smell the roses.   It's a time to make peace with the dust bunnies.   They will still be here long after we've gone to meet our maker.

Today I have a new quick page for you.  This one shows our little snowboy having fun in the snow.

Temps Are Up Today. WooHoo!!

January 10, 2017

Good morning.  Well, it's a little warmer this morning.  Temperature is at 29 F degrees, and working towards the 40's.   What a pleasant respite from the cold from the last couple of days.  Tomorrow is supposed to be warm too, although it will be raining.  That's okay, the rain is much better than the freezing temps.

What does Pogo do when the temperature dips way down low?  Here's a couple photos of him keeping warm.

Oh yeah, that's not just a pile of blanket.  That's a nice cozy little nest with a very small doggie sleeping in there.  Have I mentioned how clever my little guy is?  He knows how to stay warm!

Yesterday I received an envelope full of information from the accountant.  I've been looking over the papers, and it's amazing the information the government asks for in order for you to file your taxes. You need to provide:  Your driver's license number, driver's license state, issue date, theft protection pin.  Now I ask you, why is any of this information necessary in order to pay your taxes?

I will have to call the accountant to find out what this is all about.  I don't ever remember having to submit this sort of information.  I'll also have to ask him when my appointment to come in will be.  According to the information in the packet, it looks like I just mail him the numbers with answers to all the questions, and he will just figure things out and file my taxes.  Excuse me?  Whatever happened to personal contact with your customer?

Time for me to change the subject or I'll be off on a new rant.  I think I'll open the inside door soon so that Pogo can sit by the door and watch what's going on outside.  Maybe after lunch, we'll take a little walk in the yard.  That depends on how much snow is still on the ground.  Pogo doesn't have boots yet.  Actually, I don't either.  I can't remember when I last had boots.  I think maybe it was when I was just a little kid.

I found an interesting article in the newspaper about how to improve your credit score.  You should regularly check your score and report.  Have a system to pay your bills on time.  Maintain a budget and track your expenses.  Minimize use of available credit.  Try not to use more than 30% of your available credit.  Think twice about applying for new credit.  Protect yourself from identity theft.  Sign up for ongoing credit monitoring, such as from myFICO.com.

I found a chart on the web that shows how your credit is scored.  This is good information to know.  You never know when your credit background is going to be needed.

Well, that's my news for today.  It's getting late, (I slept really late this morning) and it's time for me to get busy around here.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Is There A Doggie Food That Tastes Like A Freshly Cooked Steak?

January 9, 2017

Good morning.  Brrrr!  It's too cold for me!  The temperature is currently 7F degrees, and it's not supposed to get much warmer than the mid teens today.  Definitely not my cup of tea!!!  This kind of cold comes right up through the floors.  Gosh, I can't wait for Spring!!

We're supposed to have a couple days of rain and warm temperatures later this week.  I'm hoping that it melts all the snow, but somehow I just see a lot of ice when this snow starts melting.  Oh joy!

A while back I bought a roll of matting that you are supposed to put on your steps to prevent ice from forming on the steps.  The last time Cliff was here, he put the stuff down on the steps, and guess what?  When the snow on the porch roof melted a few days ago, the water dripped down on to the matting on the step and made little puddles of ice.  Hmmm, maybe this stuff doesn't really work.

Yesterday I caught up with my blog reading and my emails and finished up another crocheted scarf.  I think I should be making hats to match the scarfs.  I'll have to give that some thought.  I just won't be able to make as many scarfs as I had hoped to make.  Ah well, I just do what I can.

Pogo must be on a diet or something.  The last few days, he isn't eating as good as he should.  I've given him everything from hamburgers to steaks to meatballs to whatever other kind of meat that I have in the house.  So far, the only thing he has eaten lately is a little bit of hamburger and the steak that I cooked a couple of days ago.  I take that back.  He also ate some bacon a couple days ago.

Today I'm going to give him some doggie food.  And maybe a piece of bacon to go with it.  I wish I could find a brand of doggie food that he would eat and enjoy.  It would make life so much easier for both of us, and a lot healthier for him.

My friend MaryAnn sent me this beautiful image of our house cat Luna resting beneath our Christmas tree.  She used a photo that I had posted, and mixed it with layers, textures and a bit of her own creativity.  This is gorgeous, MaryAnn.  Thank you, we all love it.

I also have another photo to share.  Over the holidays, Audrey and hubby Mac went to visit a taxidermy friend, and Audrey made a new friend.  This is a photo of "Ace" cuddling up to Audrey.  No matter how big doggies grow, they always love cuddling and kissing, especially with a pretty lady.

Now I think I'll put my new fuzzy slippers on to warm up my feet, and make a hot cup of cocoa to take away the chill.  Then I think I'll try to tempt Pogo to eat something.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Happy Belated Birthday To Jasmine, And Happy Birthday To Kyra

January 8, 2017

Good morning.  The sun is shining, the snow stopped during the night, and it is c-c-c-cold!  I guess Pogo and I won't be going outside to play today.  By the time the snow ended, we probably have a little over a foot of the white stuff.  Yuk!  Yuk!  These photos were taken this morning.  The snow had already been shoveled up yesterday afternoon.  But it just kept on coming!!  The second photo is Joe cleaning it up again.

I am such a scatter brain sometimes.  I did not forget Jazzy's birthday, but I did forget to post it here on my blog.  Shame on me!!  Jazzy turned seventeen on Thursday.  On Friday evening, Jazzy made her debut as assistant director of the South Shore Theatre Works production of "Big Bad - The Musical."  She even choreographed one of the dance numbers.  I am so very proud of our Jasmine!

Here's a collage her mom (Deanne) put together of Jazzy, and a photo of Jazzy and Janice after the Friday night performance of "Big Bad - The Musical."  There's one more performance of the play this afternoon.   Then Jazzy is on to her next drama project.

Today is my friend Kyra's birthday.  Kyra, I hope your special day is awesome, and I'm wishing you many more years of happiness and good health.  I am so blessed to have you as my friend.

Deanne and I never made it to the shooting range on Friday afternoon.  The instructor wasn't sure if the roads were plowed, so we re-scheduled for next Friday afternoon.  Gosh, I hope it doesn't snow anymore and mess up this next appointment!!

The link for Part One of the kit, "A Merry Berry New Year" did not work, so I made a new link for you.  If this one is a problem, let me know and I'll make a new folder and link.

I just took a short break from typing to go outside and sweep the little bit of snow off the porch in front of my door and from off the step.  It was just a little bit of snow, but it took all my breath away.  Just one of the reasons why I don't like the snow.

Ah well, there's a Law & Order marathon on TV today, so I'm going to take my coffee and go watch a bit of it.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Here Comes The Snow!

January 6, 2017

Good morning.  Oh my, the world outside my door is all white.  Yup, it snowed all through the wee hours.  It's almost mid-morning here, and it looks like the snow is slowing down substantially.  Wouldn't that be nice?

Cliff is coming over to shovel up a lot of this new snow, because we have more coming either tonight or tomorrow.  Or both.  One weather channel says the snow might still be here Sunday morning.  Groan, groan, groan.  If we don't clean up today's snow before tonight, it will freeze and be here for quite a while.  Frozen snow doesn't play nice with either a shovel or the snow blower so it would have to stay till either the January thaw or temps in the 50's.

Oh goodness, I'm looking out my door and it looks like the snow flakes are getting bigger now.  Hmm, this is not so good!  The weather man had said that this snow would be all gone sometime this morning.  It would be nice if he was right.

There's a lady comedian (Kathleen Madigan) being featured on one of the news programs this morning, and my goodness she is ever so funny!  If they ever put one of her performances on a DVD, I'll have to buy it.  I don't do concerts, but I could definitely enjoy a DVD in the comfort of my living room.

Earlier this week, I promised you links to a collab kit that I made with a friend a few years ago.  The kit is called "A Merry Berry New Year" and here is the preview and the links if you want the kit.

I'll have to call our shooting instructor to see if the road to the gun club is going to be plowed because I really don't enjoy thoughts of getting stuck in the snow in the woods.  Oh Spring, where art thou?

I think I should get dressed now before Cliff gets here.  So, till Sunday, Y'all have a fantabulous weekend.

Ah, The Joys Of Growing Old!!

January 5, 2017

Good afternoon.  I'm late posting today, but that's because I needed to sleep late and then I had to go out to do a couple errands.  Sleep was not in the cards for me last night.  My breathing just wasn't very good. even with the oxygen on.  But, I'm feeling better now.

I'm going to have to look into a portable oxygen concentrator that I can keep close by at all times, and take with me when I travel.  Unfortunately, they are rather expensive.  The last time I checked, they cost around $2500.  A while ago, I asked my doctor to write me a prescription for one just in case the insurance would help pay for it.  He informed me that first I had to undergo some more stress tests to prove that I really need the machine.

I had these tests quite a while ago when my asthma first got bad, and they were not fun then.  It was very difficult for me to drive myself home after these tests.  I really don't feel like taking them all over again.   I already have a big concentrator in my living room, so why do I have to take more tests to prove that I need a portable one?  It's pretty sad how the insurance companies and the government treat the elderly, especially when it comes to taking care of their health needs.

Today I have a photo to share with you.  My friend MaryAnn took the photo of the men in the kayaks, and blended it into another photo found on Google.  I love it!!

With the night time wind chill temps at -20 and -30 below zero in Wisconsin, this just shows how hardy the town folks are.  In my (very) younger days, I loved to go ice fishing, but kayaking was out of the question, at least until summertime.

I have another photo to share.  This one was taken in January a couple years ago, showing the beautiful early morning sky.  This is another thing that I sometimes miss about not working.  My tall trees block out pretty views like this from my yard.

That's about all my news for today.  Now it's time to see if there's anything tasty in the fridge for lunch.  Pogo is being very patient, but he keeps looking out toward the fridge.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a magnificent day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Only Seventy Two Days Till Spring!!

December 4, 2017

Good morning.  Hmmm, the sun was shining a little while ago, but now it seems to have disappeared behind some clouds.  I guess it will be peeking in and out most of the day.  At least it will be warm outside.  Temps should be in the high 40's today.

However, the cold front will coming our way after that.  This weekend will very cold, especially during the night.  Thank goodness Pogo and I have lots of fuzzy blankets!  Sunday night is supposed to be just three or four degrees above zero.  Brrr!

Yesterday I was able to accomplish a few things.  First, I ordered my new blog book.  When it gets here, I'll have twenty one blog books on the bookshelf.  You know, I always wanted to write a book.  I just never thought it would be a collection of blog books.  I always thought it might be a children's book.  Hmmm, go figure!!

I also called to order a fuel delivery.  That should be coming today, so now we'll be warm for another few weeks.  I can't wait for Spring, which should be here in seventy two more days!  I am so looking forward to sitting out on my little porch.  This will make Pogo very happy too because he loves it out there.

DIL Janet should be coming by later after work, and I'm thinking that maybe we'll have pizza for supper.  Well, Pogo can have hamburger, although I'll cut up a little bit of my pizza to put on his plate.  Just in case.  Once in a while, Pogo likes a bit of pizza to munch on.

Yesterday, I also shopped for a few new scrapbook kits, and I'm looking forward to spending a bit of time on my laptop making a few new quick pages.  Today I do have a new one for you.  This one is a little different from my usual ones, but I like it.  I used a collab kit that I made a while ago.   If I still have the links for the kit, I'll post them for you later in the week.

Now I think I'll go look for some fun mischief to get into.  Maybe I'll ruffle the feathers of a few of the resident dust bunnies.  That should keep me busy for a while.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

On The Lookout For Teeny Tiny Boots

January 3, 2017

Good morning.  Tis a bit gray and wet outside this morning.  There are little puddles everywhere.  I was going to take Pogo out to walk around the yard today, but we may have to wait until tomorrow.  He does not like getting his little feet wet.  Of course, I don't blame him.  I don't care for walking barefoot in the yard when it is raining either.

I guess I'll have to try again to find Pogo a set of tiny boots.  I have found some small ones, but they were not small enough.  His little feet are really tiny!  I'm not sure how the teeny boots will even stay on because his little legs are rather skinny.  Ah well, this can be a project for this new year.

I'm going to have to decide whether to take Pogo's stroller to Florida this year, or whether to use a different carry case for him.  He has one carry case that has wheels and a pull handle.  Unfortunately, this one is not as much fun for him when we go anywhere.  On the other hand, maneuvering my way around at the airport and the baggage terminal isn't always easy with the stroller.  It makes it more difficult to handle my suitcase and carry-on bag.  Well, I have time to figure this one out.

Quite some time ago, I cut an article out of the newspaper about all the jobs that Walmart is cutting.  Now that it's the first of the year, a lot of folks (who work at Walmart) will be finding themselves without jobs.

And do you remember all those TV ads about how awesome they were going to be treating their employees?  About how they were going to be paying them better wages so that they (the employees) could enjoy a better way of life?  Well, to date, I haven't found anyone who actually got any of these new benefits.

Believe me, I have asked lots of Walmart employees, and they all act like they don't know what I'm talking about.  It seems to me that all Walmart has done is do away with jobs and cut employee benefits.  Because this is such a large company, one would think that they could do better for their employees.

On a brighter note, I found a couple of really easy recipes for beauty products that I thought some of you might be interested in.

Feeling pretty doesn't have to be expensive.  We already have a lot of the ingredients in the house.  In my younger days, I used to make a lot of my own creams and herbal medicines.  Now that I'm retired and have lots of time, I don't seem to have the time anymore.  Now go figure that one out!!

My elbow and wrist are feeling much better now, and Deanne and I will be going to the shooting range again on Friday afternoon.  It's gong to feel good to be getting back to practicing.  I won't overdo though.  If my wrist starts to bother me, I'll stop using it.  (till the next time!)

Well, the mailman will be here soon, and I have a stack of bills to put out for him.  When I got up during the night last night, I used the time to pay bills.  I also crocheted for a little while before crawling back under the covers and finding my way back to dreamland.

That's my news for this morning.  Now it's time for me to order my new blog book.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Late Night Cooking

January 2, 2017

Good morning. Tis cloudy today, but the temperature should be in the low 40's.  I guess the cold weather snap will be coming in later toward the end of the week.  I can handle that.  Supposedly, it will only last a few days, then temps will be back up in the 30's.

Goodness, Pogo is developing quite a sweet tooth!  I have to be careful when I go into the  refrigerator.  Pogo watches me very carefully to see if I'm going to be taking the cheesecake out to snack on.  If I do take it out, he is right at my side waiting for his share.  Who'd a thunk it??

We had a nice quiet day yesterday.  After napping for a while, we watched TV, and I started another scarf.  These new crochet hooks are really quite comfortable to use.  Thank you MaryAnn.  I've put them all in the new case that I ordered for them, and they'll go right into my suitcase when I pack for Florida.

I fell asleep early last night, so when I woke up in the middle of the night I figured I'd get up and do something.  I boiled a batch of eggs.  After they cooled a bit, I took the shells off and put the eggs in the fridge.  This morning, I'll make egg salad.  Mmmm, sounds good.  I haven't had egg salad for quite a few months.

While I was in a busy mood, I took a couple of boneless chicken breasts out of the freezer and put them in the fridge to thaw.  Maybe we'll have these for supper.  Before going back to bed, I treated myself to an ice cream cone.  Mmmmm!

This morning I've been busy picking out photos for the front and back covers of my new blog book.  These are the two I've decided on.  I always try to pick photos taken during the same months that the blog book covers.  This book will be Volume Three for 2016.  Either I gabbed a lot, or I posted lots of photos.

I guess my next big project will have to be sorting all my papers and expenses for my taxes.  Groan, groan.  I don't have an appointment yet with the accountant, but I'm sure I'll be hearing from him soon.  As long as I can get all the paperwork done way before it's time to leave for Florida, I'll be happy.  I really really, really really, really really do not enjoy doing this!!!

Did I mention, way back in October or November, how I lost a bag with my breathing medicine in it?  My co-pay was close to $700 for the medicine so I was devastated.  Plus, I need the medicine to breath.  I turned the house upside down several times but never could find the bag of medicine.

Thankfully, my doctor had some samples that he gave to me to get me through to the first of the year when I would be able to get new refills.  A few nights before Christmas, while I was putting presents into large carry bags to make them easier to deliver, I found the lost bag of medicine tucked in with some of the presents that I had wrapped much earlier.  Phew!!!  Talk about a huge stroke of luck!!!

That's about all my news for this morning.  Before I go, I want to share a beautiful image that I borrowed from the web.  This is for everyone who has shared so many years with their loved one.  (I'm not sure who the image belongs to)

Now I'm off to make a bowl of egg salad.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.
