Good morning. So far the day hasn't decided what it wants to do, but it looks like the sun is sneaking through the clouds. Gosh I hope so because we have plenty of wet gray days coming up. Joe brought some drill bits home from work yesterday and drilled some holes in the bottom of my new planters. Now that water can drain from them, I will get them planted.
I went for my consult yesterday and could not talk the good doctor out of scheduling two stress tests for next week. I guess I'm losing my touch. Sad to say, I am quite the wimpy chicken when it comes to any tests that a doctor might want to do. I have not liked any of the ones I've had in the past, so I'm not looking forward to these two next week.
On a pleasant note, DIL Janet and I caused a bit of havoc to our purses yesterday afternoon at the yarn store. I came home with yarn for two new projects, one of which is going to be an afghan for Mr. Pogo. He loves snuggling into the ones that I've been making so I thought it would be good to make him one of his own.
I've made it a bit narrower, and it will be a bit shorter, but just right for Pogo. Here's a photo of how it is looking now. Of course, it is a gorgeous pumpkin orange. He says it is his favorite color too. Gosh, I love it! I just may have to make one like this for myself too.
I could not get all the colors that I wanted so we will have to be taking a trip to the super store soon. Unless of course, the manufacturer has a sale on its website, then I'll just order on-line. Some of my projects have a time line when they need to be finished so it is important to get all the colors that I need.
I also have a couple of photos that I took at night in the little gardens outside my door. I just love these little solar garden decorations.
Today I'll take some photos of the peacock and flamingo bird baths that I put in the little gardens. These are just too adorable. I'll have to be on the lookout for a few more of these things for the other garden.
Well, that's my news for this morning. My coffee has gone cold so I need to be making a fresh cup. Till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.
Hugs, Edna B.

I don't know anyone who has more fun in life than you. You set a great example for the rest of us. I love your Pogo afghan and he too will love it, especially since it has stripes of blue in it (that is the one color that dogs can see clearly). You are starting to sound a lot like me in many ways. When I get into something I fill my closets with supplies ... most of which never get used at my house, but I am glad to see that you are making good use of your yarn. I am so busy at this point with other things, but I keep thinking I would love to pick up my knitting again sometime soon ... if my life ever settles down.
I am going today to pick up our little male Oriole that I took to Fellow Mortals last week. They said he will be ready by this afternoon and his family is still here (eating me out of house nad home with grape jelly and oranges)so he will have his friends to welcome him back and to fly on with when the time comes. I am very excited for the little boy.
I am going to my Granddaughters graduation this Saturday. I can not believe she is graduating from high school. We have had so many fun years together and now she will be going off to start a life of her own ... first college and then who knows what. I couldn't be more proud of her.
Well, like I said ... a hectic life. I need to take Izzi out and then get some things done around here ( I won't be going after my dust bunnies though ... you have convinced me that they should be welcome guests. I just have to convince my FH:) So You have a nice day before the rain comes. The rain is already here and it is cold so I am not happy about the weather :( Be well, my friend ...

Wow all caught up again, what gorgeous photos you have shared since my last visit. I've been aiding a friend that had knee surgery and is on crutches with some minor things and then I spent all day yesterday washing clothes and cleaning up after my very ill MzKitty, don't know why she got so, but today she is much better and acts like she was never sick. Guess it was just a bug, but she threw up on the bed, it had to be changed and washed and remade, the little throw rugs that had to be washed, then she was on the table and threw up on it and I had to clean it and put new cloth on...I mopped a couple of times yesterday too. The others all seem to be ok, so don't know what got into her, but very happy she is over it!
I adore the colorful afghan you are making for Pogo, great color and so cheery looking, bet he loves it!
Well, think I will take a few hours to myself today and relax and read a bit, so will chat with you again soon. Hugs, Mat
p.s. be good and do those stress tests, hope they all turn out well! :)
I like the afghan for Pogo the best, the colors are fabulous! I may have to learn how to make these and create something snuggly for George and Gracie, especially if it doesn't start to warm up pretty soon!
Wow !!! Awsome yard things !!! i need to get me a buttrfly too before they are all gone :) Pogo will love his blankie no doubt ! Love you Mom !! watch for the mail man !!
Rumagebaby XXXOOO
Sure Pogo wioll love his afghan, made with so much love. And it's a pretty orange!
sorry you have to undergo more tests next week, I assume the doctor means to do right and good, but do you think the tests are really necessary??
Glad you still found some new yarn, and you must show the colors of it, yes!
You are planning a lot of crochet, good thing, will keep you busy(not that you aren't busy enough already LOL).
Cannot chat too long now, must post quickly and then get ready for our trip to the Japanese garden. Yes, it seems it's going to happen. Have a great weekend
