November 30, 2013
Good morning on this cool, but sunny morning. Actually, nippy is more like it. It seems like Winter came a month and a half early and is here to stay. Let's hope it leaves us just as quickly before Spring gets here.
Have you looked at your calendar lately? I mean, really looked at it? Today is the last day of this month of November. There is only one month left in this year. That's just thirty one days. Time is just going so quickly.
I tried to procrastinate this morning and sleep late, but Pogo had other ideas. If I don't pay attention to him and just get up and make his breakfast, he barks non-stop until I give in. He is, after all, the lord and master of this house. Well, that's what he tells me anyway.
Yesterday, Joe heated up the soup that Helen (another dwarf) had made with the turkey carcass and some leftovers. After polishing off a bowlful, yum yum! I went back for a second bowl to freeze so that I can enjoy it later. There's nothing like a tasty bowl of soup on a cold winter day.
Today I have a few more cute images to share, that I get in my email. It's good to share things that make you smile.
Well, tonight I'm finally going back to work. I'm hoping that no one there one has been sick. The last thing I need is to have another relapse. Poor Pogo is not going to be happy. He's had me all to himself for quite a while now. Ah well, the bills must be paid.
This afternoon, I will try to catch me a little nap so that I can be wide awake tonight for work. Here's hoping that the Mrs is in a good mood. It will help to make my night go better. I'm hoping to retire in the next year or two. It will be so good to be able to stay home all the time. Ah well, that's still a little ways off.
Well that's all the chit chat for today. Till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a fabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

It's Photoshop Friday
November 29, 2013
Good morning. Did everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day? Did you feast on all sorts of good foods? I hope so. We certainly did at my house. Instead of four, there were five of us sitting down to dinner together. One more of the dwarfs had his plans fall through so we welcomed him to dine with us. You know, this is certainly what Thanksgiving is all about anyway.
Deanne and Eddie stopped by with lots of goodies for our table. There were cookies, turkey rice krispy balls, candied yams, cranberry bread and a pan of macaroni and cheese. Of course, I put the mac n cheese right into my fridge. That will make a tasty supper for later. Here's a photo of the turkey rice krispy balls that granddaughter Jasmine made. The dwarfs gobbled these up rather quickly.
Our day started out on a nice lazy note. No rush to get dressed or go anywhere. We brought out all the food that would need to be cooked or prepared, and Helen (dwarf) began preparing the turkey. Meanwhile, Joe was making the olive and cream cheese stuffing for the celery sticks. Once the turkey was in the oven, Joe helped Helen with peeling and cutting the potatoes. I did most of the heavy onlooking. lol.
By 1:30, we were all gathered round the table, ready to dig in to this fabulous Thanksgiving feast. We said our blessings quietly to ourselves and dug in. Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm. Everything was just so scrumptious! And yes, even Pogo had a plate filled with turkey and veggies and gravy.
After dinner was done, Joe dug out the "big pot" and Helen used the remainder of the turkey to make a huge pot of soup. While the soup was cooking, everyone sat around munching on pies and cookies and all sorts of goodies while they watched some football on the TV. Pogo and I snuck off to have us a little nap.
Last night, Deanne sent me a Thanksgiving photo that was taken several years ago, and I just couldn't help but modernize it a bit. It was a photo of Kevin and Jasmine serving up a Thanksgiving dinner with a toy dinner set. Gosh, but they have grown into such beautiful young adults. Is it any wonder that I burst with pride all the time?
Today is also Photoshop Friday, and I must confess that I forgot to send Queen Jester my version of her sunflower image. I just sent it now, so I hope I'm not too late to play. This week, she gave us an image of part of a sunflower to work with. This one was not so easy.
After spending a couple of hours playing with different textures, blending modes and a few other small elements, I finally came up with "A Floral Fantasy". Here's the original image, followed by my creation.
I also want to ask if any of you has seen the new Sears ad that has been playing on TV the last couple of days. It is one of the funniest ads I've seen in such a long time. It shows a man holding a large paper bag, running through the woods chasing a turkey and saying "Get in the bad. Get in the bag. Get in the bad." Then the man runs smack into a tree.
Gosh almighty, this one really tickles my funny bones. I just love it. Maybe because the humor in it is so real. I can actually picture some folks doing this very thing. ha ha ha ha!
Now I'm off to find some mischief to get into. Till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a magnificent day.
Hugs, Edna B.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY
November 28, 2013
Good morning, and Happy Thanksgiving Day to everyone. The sun is shining and the rain has stopped. It's a beautiful day.
Today is a day to give thanks for all that we have and love. I am thankful for the folks who fought for my freedom so that I may sit down to dinner today with friends and family. When I look at my little Pogo, I am so thankful that he is sharing life with me. When I look up at the sky, I am so thankful for the beauty that He surrounds us with.
When I wake up in the morning, I am so thankful for yet another day to enjoy. I am thankful for all my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I am thankful for the memories of those loved ones who have passed on. I am thankful to be alive today.
I wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving Day. I'm so thankful to have all of you in my life. May your day be filled with much love and happiness. Y'all have a great day now.
Hugs, Edna B.

HAPPY HANUKKAH
November 27, 2013
Good morning. Tis a bit wet and windy here in my little part of New England. I expected the wind and rain in the middle of the night, but it took a bit longer to actually get here and do its thing. It was rather quiet all night. Then around 7 a.m. the rain and wind started to pick up and now the wind is becoming a little bit feisty.
I just took a photo of the view through my storm door. It doesn't show the wind blowing, but you can see how wet is getting. Actually, in the few minutes since I took the photo, the rain is coming down harder. I think we're in for a lovely day.
Unfortunately, that's the only new photo I've taken lately. I do, however, have some interesting things that come to me via emails that are worthy of sharing.
This morning, I had a pbone call reminding me that I was supposed to have some things out on my porch for the Big Brother, Big Sister Foundation to pick up. Thank goodness the driver called me because Joe had forgotten to put all the bags out on the porch. There were a lot of bags, so I asked the driver to come in and take most of the bags, while I carried the last one out. Hopefully, a lot of this stuff will make life easier for someone.
As soon as I get through with all my gift wrapping, I will start filling more bags for the BBBS. This week I need to get out and buy some bags of dog and cat food to drop off at our local Ace Hardware store. They run an annual "help the animals in the shelters" drive. I also have a bag of blanketing to drop off with the food. Folks, this is something that everyone can do, and it will be most appreciated.
Some of my friends and family will be starting their Holiday celebration later today at sundown. To all of them, I wish you a very Happy Hanukkah. May you be blessed with much love and happiness.
Now I'm going to make a cup of coffee and whip up some breakfast for Pogo and me. So till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a fantabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

This last one is just too precious not to pass along. It invokes all sorts of warm, soft, huggy feelings. It makes me want to pick up Pogo and hug him close to me.

Having Friends In For Dinner This Year
November 26, 2013
Good afternoon. I'm a bit late today because I slept as late as possible this morning, and then Pogo and I left for an appointment at the nail salon. After that, we made a stop at the Post Office to mail a couple of packages. It feels so good to have those packages in the mail.
Later today, Joe and I will go food shopping. We usually go on Thursday, but with the Holiday we thought tonight would be the best time. Tomorrow will no doubt be crowded at the supermarket. This year I was going to just cook my turkey, cool it and then cut it up and package it for the freezer for making turkey salad.
However, this year, I will sit down to dinner with three of the dwarfs. It will be like old times, sharing dinner with friends. These dwarfs life plans have changed, so we will celebrate the Holiday together. I may have to buy another small turkey for my turkey salad, but that's just fine with me. Having company for dinner is priceless.
I don't have any new photos for today, but I do have some cute things to share. I have a new catalogue filled with all sorts of goodies. These are just a few of my favorites.
I just love the lady in red, don't you? She makes the elder years look so glamorous. I think she looks a bit like Maude from an old TV show, "The Golden Girls". (I think that was the name of the program.)
Now I'm off to do a bit of wrapping. I have everything spread out all over my bed, so until I get it all wrapped I will be sleeping in my lounge chair. That's not so bad though, because my chair is very comfortable. So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a wonderful day.

'Tis Mandarin Orange Monday
November 25, 2013
Gosh, it's 6:05 a.m. and it's totally black outside. This is another part of Winter that I don't like. The mornings and late afternoons are very dark outside. Yesterday at 4:30 p.m. it was dark out. I so loved it when it was still daylight at 9 o'clock at night. The sad part of all of this is that it isn't even Winter yet!!
Well, yesterday I did go out to do a bit of shopping. I left with a shopping list of sixteen items. Two and a half hours later, I came home with five bags and only three items from my list. Well, dag nab it! I have to learn to stick to only items on my list!
This morning I turned to my trusty laptop and shopped on-line for a couple of the items that I was looking for yesterday. One of the things that I did get yesterday was the packing tape, so now I can finish packing a couple of boxes that need to be mailed out.
I think I have finally decided on another company to finish the work on the outside of the house. They will let me know today if they can start the work next Monday. If they can, they get the job. I'll feel so good when all this work is done.
Enough chatter. Today is Mandarin Orange Monday, and I have made a layout for today. It's not what one would call photo art or photography. It's more like a statement. This Thursday is Thanksgiving, and I am not happy about the stores being open for business. There does not seem to be any family morals in big business.
When I was a kid, the stores did not open on Sundays or holidays. One could spend the day going to church with the family, or getting together for a family holiday dinner. Wouldn't it be nice if we could have this back? Anyway, this is what prompted me to make a layout for today. I got the round orange sign from my daughter's facebook. The little kid waiting for his family to come home from shopping is my Pogo.
No one really needs to go out shopping on a holiday. Most of the big sales are available for on-line shopping. If you sign up on-line with all the stores in your area, they send you emails with sneak peeks of all their sale items, and they let you order these items on-line. Why would anyone want to fight hordes of shoopers when you can get all your items delivered right to your door?
Now I think it's time to make a cup of coffee and some breakfast. Maybe today I will start taping a couple of programs on DVD's for my daughter Audrey. Sounds like a plan! So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a wonderful day.
Hugs, Edna B.

Brrrrr. It's Too Cold For Me.
November 24, 2013
Good morning. It's sunny and cold, only about 24 degrees F. Thanks to that cold air from Canada, it's only supposed to get up to about 28 F degrees today. I was hoping to get out today to do a bit of shopping, but I really don't like the cold. I'll have to wait and see how I feel in a couple of hours.
In case anyone was wondering about that ad that I posted yesterday, I tore the page out of the December 2013 issue of Good Housekeeping magazine. This surprised me because I never expected to find ads for this type of product in this magazine. Oh well.
There is really no news for today, so this will be a short post. I have an interesting photo to share. It's not a good photo, but I find it interesting so I kept it. It's one of the moon shots that I got one morning earlier in the week.
I put the photo into Photoshop, and added a "Painted Fall Texture" (from Bonnie at PDPA). Then I played with the blending modes, and decided on the color blend mode. Next I added a few birds, and shaded them with some color from the image to make them blend in better. What do you think?
Pogo and I were up rather early this morning, so I spent some time finishing up addressing all my holiday card envelopes. Hopefully, I will make it out today because I need to buy a roll of packaging tape so that I can finish up a few holiday mailer boxes. Tomorrow, I need to get out to the post office and mail off a birthday box that needs to be delivered before the first of December.
Ah well, all will get done. Now I think I will make some breakfast for my little guy and me. I gave him a bath earlier this morning and now he is snuggled down into a furry blanket. I'll have to make his breakfast a bit tempting so that he will come out from his blanket and eat the food.
That's it for today. So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a wonderful day.
Hugs, Edna B.

Poo-Pourri???
November 23, 2013
Good morning. I've read a few emails, and now I'm having my coffee. I'm watching a program on TV called "Secret Societies Of Hollywood". Oh my, what naughty people live in Hollywood. The drugs and the ugliness is just awful. It's so sad that our people can't enjoy the glamour and stardom without falling into the pits of the seedy side of Hollywood.
There is a colorful new K-Mart commercial on TV these days. It features a line of men dressed in their undershorts (Joe Boxer), playing Jingle Bells with hip (and other) movements. You have to see it to understand why it is so cute. I mean, if women can parade around in skimpy bras and thongs on the TV screen, I guess it's just right that the men do their sexy thing in their under shorts.
I tried to get the link for the you-tube video, but was not successful. Just go to You-tube, and type in "K-mart Joe Boxer commercial" and several of the videos will come up. Enjoy.
I have no photos for today, but I do have an ad that I found in one of my magazines. It never ceases to amaze me at the boldness of the new products and the way they are advertised. This new product is called "POO-POURRI". It's the "Before-You-Go Toilet Spray. When you use this wonderful new product, you can Poo in Confidence. Excuse me?????
Are we all going to rush out and buy this new product? It does carry the Good Housekeeping Seal. If you go to POOPOURRI.COM, there is a $5 coupon if you spend more than $25. And if you want incentive to buy the product, check out the "Girl's Don't Poop" video at youtube.com/poo. (I haven't seen this yet.)
On this happy note, I'm going to sign off now and enjoy my coffee. Till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a fabulous day.

Whoopee! The Coffee Is Beginning To Taste Better!
November 22, 2013
Good morning. It's gray and rainy here in New England. Seems like whenever we get a day that is not so cold, it rains. Ah well, it's better than flooding and several feet of snow, so I'm not going to be grumbling very much.
Good news, my coffee is tasting somewhat better this morning. I surely do hope that it is a good sign of healing. I am growing weary of feeling crappy. The only good thing about feeling crappy is that it is definitely better than pushing up daisies.
I'm watching the news on the Weather Channel, and it is about the large groups of turkeys in some urban areas. These folks are wondering how these turkeys got there. They're thinking that someone must have brought them there.
Well DUH!! No one brought the turkeys there. Man used up all the wildlife areas to put up more shopping strip malls and other buildings. Man is neglectful of showing respect for our wildlife. When you destroy or take away all the animals' homes, they naturally have no choice but to try to adapt to living among you. If you don't want them running through your yards and business areas, then leave their homelands alone. There is room for all of us.
My energy burst did not fare too well yesterday. I washed a few scatter rugs that have been waiting patiently for me to put into the washer. Someone peed on them (Gosh, I wonder who?) and I finally got around to getting them clean again.
In the afternoon, I did get another couple of gifts wrapped, but then I petered out. Even though I did get a small nap, it did not help me last night. Just before one of my favorite TV programs was ready to start, I got all comfy in my lounge chair with a blanket and a cold bottle of water. Then I promptly fell asleep. What else is new? Thank goodness for my DVR. I can watch my program this morning.
For photos today, I have some that I took a few days ago of my Christmas Cactus. When several blossom open at once, this is a truly beautiful plant.
Well, that's all my news for today. I'm going to take my cup of coffee and settle into my lounge chair to enjoy my show, Project Runway All Stars. So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a fantabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

A Wonderful Surprise In My Mail This Morning
November 21, 2013
Good morning. The sun is shining, and I'm a tad bit better. Pogo is feeling okay so it's another great day. I got up rather early this morning and I'm beginning to get weary, so this won't be a long post. I really should have had a nap yesterday afternoon, then I wouldn't have fallen asleep so early in the evening. The earlier I fall asleep, the earlier I get up in the morning.
I did manage to pay some bills, and bag up some newspapers to be put out in the recycle bin. I also had my coffee (still sort of yucky) and made breakfast for Pogo and me. I would like to do a bit more wrapping today, and possibly finish addressing the last of my cards. If I can get this done, I won't be so far behind in my holiday stuff.
Now you know why I like to start my shopping so early in the year. It saves me money, and it makes up for the time I lose from being sick. I still have some shopping to do, but all in all, I'm in pretty good shape.
I do have a beautiful scrap page to show you that Kyra made featuring Pogo. She used her kit "Take Me Home", which you can find on her blog if you scroll back just a few posts. I think the teddy bear is just perfect for Pogo. He loves his stuffed toys and tucks them into the corners of his bed. Isn't this just adorable? Thank you so much Kyra.
I have a couple more photos to share. This first one is a doll that Audrey gave me a couple of years ago. She's very beautiful, but quite delicate. The photo next to dolly is my daughter Deanne. The little cow bell was something I gave to my brother when he was quite sick so that he could call when he needed me.
This next photo is my beautiful Japanese Red Maple before all the leaves fell to the ground. This tree puts on a brilliant show every November before it loses its leaves. I used selective coloring here to make the background black and white, and then blurred it so that the tree would stand out.
Now I'm going to get started on those envelopes before it is naptime. So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a wonderful day.
Hugs. Edna B.

A Little Burst Of Energy, Woo Hoo!
November 20, 2013
Good morning. I've been up for a few hours, and it seems like I've done a days work already. I made breakfast for Pogo and me, and had a cup of coffee. Then I addressed and signed more Christmas cards, stuffed them into envelopes and stamped them. Next I wrapped and addressed a few items that are going out in mailer envelopes.
From here I went into the bedroom and set up the card table, sorted already bought presents into piles, and managed to get a couple wrapped and into mailer boxes. Phew!!! I need to sit for a while so I've just made a second cup of coffee to enjoy while I post here on my blog. How does the coffee taste? It doesn't matter anymore. It is written that coffee tastes good, so it does.
Getting back on my feet is taking much longer now. I'm not liking this too much. My mind gets these fabulous bursts of energy, but the body doesn't seem to be able to catch up with the mind. If this slowing down is one of the perks of the "Golden Years", then it is a sucky one!
No one ever told me that growing old was such a task. My mother never said anything; my friends and neighbors, no one ever even gave me a hint. I wonder why this is. We go into adulthood with absolutely no knowledge of two of the most important parts of our lives. No one told us how to be a parent. or how to get around all the molehills of aging. Interesting!
Don't misunderstand. I am very grateful to have reached this delicate stage of my life, Every day that I wake up is a very good day. I am surrounded by beauty and love, family and friends. I still have my mind and can do many of the things that I enjoy. So, even though these Sunset Years can be quite sucky at times, they are also quite good and I'm glad to have them.
Yesterday the mail brought me a wonderful package, my two newest blog books, parts 1 & 2 of this year. I did a lot more chatting and posted more photos so this year has to be broken into three books. Gosh, they are just wonderful! Here's a photo to show you how nice they look.

I've changed the front covers of the books, and now use a photo from that period, and Pogo is on the back covers.
I really love these blog books. If any of you think you might like to make one of your blog, look up Blog2Print on SharedBook.com. You can get soft covers or hard covers (I get the hard covers) and you can include or exclude whatever you wish. They are really wonderful to leave for your family.
Daughter Deanne sent me a photo taken with her phone of a clipping in the local newspaper. This was an event from last year at their City Hall called Santa Hat Day. Hundreds of the townsfolk came out wearing Santa hats. The photo is like a "Where's Waldo" picture. Deanne calls this one "Where's The Family". I've put a circle around Dee and her family.
Now I'm going to rest a while and finish drinking this "coffee". Even the juice tastes rather weird, but I drink it anyway. Till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a wonderful day.

Oh Dear, Even Pogo Got A Touch Of The Bug
November 19, 2013
Good morning. Well, it's day three of humanity, and I've just finished a bowl of Raisin Bran cereal. The appetite is slowly coming back. Not the coffee buds though. For some reason, the coffee just doesn't taste as good as it should. Oh well. Maybe that will taste better in time.
The only bad thing yesterday was that my little man, Pogo, was not feeling so good. He was mopey with very little appetite all day. He was hungry, but nothing appealed to him. Several times, he vomited, and then would crawl back into his little bed.
My heart hurts when he does not feel well. I just want to hug him and hold him close to me, but then that's probably why he got sick in the first place. The good news is that by supper time he was able to eat half of his supper, and then later went back and finished it. This morning he is looking more like his old self again. Woo Hoo!
He's had his breakfast, and is now curled up next to me in a purple furry throw. If it's furry or fuzzy, he's happy as a little pig in a mud puddle.
I'm watching the Silver Showcase on the Jewelry TV station. They have been showing some fabulous designs featuring colored diamonds. Oooooh, I want them all!! Don't worry, I'm not buying them. But it does feel good to drool over all these beautiful pieces.
They just showed an ad for their Jewelry School. It airs on Sunday mornings 8 - 10 a.m., and Monday 10 - 12 noon on the Jewelry Television channel. I will watch for this because I am very interested in learning new techniques for making jewelry. I used to make a lot of jewelry, and I think I would like to get back into it again.
I did go outside this morning to get new photos of the moon, but not until around 5:15 a.m. But I'll save those photos for another day. I want to show you some fun photos that I took yesterday afternoon just outside my door. We've had a bit of rain and wind, and there are leaves everywhere. My car is parked not far from my Japanese Red Maple tree, and now my car is decorated with red leaves.
This first photo is one of the many leaves that were blown against the house. This leaf is stuck on my storm door. The second and third photos show how beautiful Baby Blue Eyes is all dressed up in red leaves.
This next shot shows what the lawn looks like with all it's new decorations, and the following shot is my parking sign. Yup, some leaves got stuck on this too!
These last two shots were taken of the leaves on the wet ground, and a few in a small puddle. No matter where they land, they are just still beautiful colors.
Well, I think I've babbled enough for today. Before I leave, I just hope everyone out there near those wicked storms is safe and well. My prayers are with you. So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a wonderful day.
Hugs, Edna B.

Mandarin Orange Monday
November 18, 2013
Good morning. Well, this is day two of feeling a bit more human. Sad to say, the sky was all clouds, so there was no moon to entice me outside with my camera at 3 a.m. Darn! I was so hoping for another "moon shoot".
On a tasty note, Saturday morning's cup of coffee tasted like swamp water. One sip and I dumped the whole cup out. Then I made a pitcher of orange juice (frozen concentrate). I really hate to tell you what this tasted like. Again, one gulp and down the drain with the rest.
Sunday morning's coffee tasted a tad bit better. Not quite swampy, more like dirty dish water. Yuk!! I drank about a third of it before dumping it out. Thank goodness my cereal tasted better. Not quite as good as I would have liked, but at least edible.
Before I tried the orange juice again, I asked Joe to try it first. He said it tasted pretty good, so I gave it another try. I struggled with it, but I did finally finish the whole glassful. The good news is that this morning's cup of coffee is drinkable. It almost tastes like coffee. I may even have a second cup later this morning.
You can tell that I'm feeling a bit better this morning, because I've just spent an hour playing on my laptop. Today is Mandarin Orange Monday. I used a photo of my Christmas Cactus bloom, separated the bloom from the background, applied a texture overlay from H.G. Designs and a gradient and several blending modes in Photoshop. Next I used a few of the elements from one of Kyra's kits "Without A Sound". So, this is my contribution to M.O.M.
As promised, here are some photos of yesterday morning's (3 a.m.) moon. This first shot is the moon once some of the clouds moved on by. The second photo is a close up of this shot.
This photo is how the moon looked as I stood in my driveway looking upwards. You can see part of one of the tree branches and a corner of my roof.
This is a close-up shot that I thought was quite pretty. The moon was moving and more clouds were going by, making the moon visible near the tips of the top branches on one of my trees.
When I came back in the house from taking these photos, my little fellow was curled up in his bed waiting for me. Dang it all, he's just a cutie pie!!
Okay, that's enough for this morning. I still have a bit of blog reading to do, not to mention catching up with the tons of email that are waiting for me to go through. So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe, and have a fantabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

Ouch! Such A Nasty Bug!!
November 17, 2013
Good morning. Well, let me just say that whatever this nasty bug is that has caught me good, it certainly is wicked! I am now on a new stronger antibiotic, and I certainly hope that this one does the job. Lest I forget, I want to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and words. I am so blessed to have so many wonderful friends.
And, God bless my children, they are tenacious. (I surely hope they got this from their mother!) Daughter Deanne has been watching over me like a mother hawk. Thursday she gave me an ultimatum. "Either you call the doctor and make an appointment for Friday, or I'll come over and drive you to the hospital." Her exact words were just a tad bit stronger, but you get the idea.
I called and got the appointment, thank goodness. If I hadn't, I would probably be in the hospital by now as the infection was getting very close to pneumonia. I really don't need this! Now I'm on a different, stronger antibiotic. I surely hope this one can do the job and get me back up and running again. Thank you Deanne. I love you.
I'm getting ready here to make a cup of coffee. It will be my second one since this bug knocked me down this last time. Yesterday's cup of coffee tasted like nasty dish water. I'm hoping for something a bit better with this morning's cup. I'm even going to try a bowl of Raisin Bran cereal this morning. My appetite this past week has been on the scarce side. But it appears to be coming back today. I'm hoping this is a good sign.
Have any of you been watching the night sky lately? The moon has been showing off it's glamorous side. Night after night it has been just gorgeous! I missed out on so many great photos ops, but these past two nights were just too much to pass up. So, I bundled me up nice and warm, and was outside on Saturday morning around 2 a.m. and this morning at 3:15 a.m.
My hands are a bit shaky but my photos were still pretty good. Here's a couple from Saturday morning.
This is a closeup taken while the clouds were passing over the moon, followed by the same closeup that I used "Auto color, contrast and tone" in Photoshop to show the moon a bit clearer.
This was a gorgeous bright moon with a large aura about it. Probably that's because of the clouds, I don't really know. I just know that it was such a beautiful sight.
While I was outside taking these photos, this is what my handsome little guy was doing. Gosh, I just don't ever get tired of taking his photograph.
I have some nice shots from this morning, but I'll save them for tomorrow. However, I do have one amazing shot to share with you. This was the first shot that I took this morning of a bright start up over my driveway. This first shot is the original.
Well that's it for now. I'm beginning to peter out, and I want to try my coffee and cereal. I also have lots of catching up to do with my blog reading. So, till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a fantabulous day.
