A Surprise Lurking In The Tree Tops

July 11, 2011

Good morning.  It's only 6 a.m. and the sun isn't up yet.  I hope it takes it's time because right now it is quite cool and comfortable.  Even the birds are happy with the break in the heat.  They've been chirping away for the past couple of hours.

I have some neat photos to share this morning.  Yesterday, as I was getting in my car to go home, I spotted something way up in a tree top.  I grabbed my trusty camera,  and just as I started shooting the object began to fly away.  But not before I got a few shots.  I think it was some sort of hawk, but my friend Mary Ann is going to check that for me.

I took this next photo to show you just where the bird was in relation to where I was standing.  The group of trees is way beyond the house in the backyard.  I was out front in the driveway.  That bit of red at the bottom of the photo is my car.

I absolutely love this lens.  Folks, if you can only get one lens, then do try this 18-270 from Tamron.  I leave it on my camera, and I am good to go.  It's under $700, and you can rent it if you want to try it out first.  That's what I do when I want to try out a new or expensive lens.

I'm still at work, so I'll post the next two parts of "From Sea To Shining Sea" for you before I have to get ready to go home.

Here are your download links for Parts 3 & 4.

EXPIRED

When you have finished downloading, don't forget to check out Su's blog for her two parts.  While you're there, take a moment to say hello and thank you.  Here is a preview of Su's parts.  You can see more detailed previews on her blog.  This is a fun kit that should cover most all of your summer vacation photos.  Enjoy!

Now I have to check on the Mrs, and start packing up my things.  It will be time to go home in less than an hour.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantastic day.

Hugs, Edna B.

There is a problem with the links. They seem to combine with each other when I click on them.

The first time I deleted the first part and the second time I deleted the second part. This gave the correct links.

Thank you for the lovely parts 3 and 4.

Lots of luv

Chris

Great shots of the bird! Wow, that's a real SERIOUS lens. I once had an "old"camera, a Minolta, whch I loved. But it was stolen a few years ago. It had also possibility to put on different lensen and filters.
The digital camera I have now, is just a small one, cannot put other lensen on it, but I am quit happy with it, for that little things it makes not too bad pictures.
Have a lovely day!
Hugs
Kyra
