All Riled Up This Morning

October 3, 2010

Good morning, and Happy Anniversary to everyone who is having an anniversary today. it's a bit on the cool side this morning. There was even a bit of frost on my windshield when I came out from work at 7 am. Brrrrr. I'm just not ready for the cold weather.

Last night, I had a nice chat with Miss Su, and gathered a few more scrap goodies. Tonight, I want to work on the Book Cover challenge for the MS forum. This month, we are asked to make book covers for a magickal story. Hmmmm. This will require a bit of thought. However, I know I will enjoy it because it gets the creative juices flowing.

After that, I do have a couple of projects in the works, plus I have to get busy on next year's calendar. Time is flying by so quickly, and before you know it the Holidays will be upon us and I won't be ready. Goodness! I can't have that!

I would like to pass on some information that a friend sent to me this morning via email. It's been heard in the news that a couple of Post Offices in Texas have been forced to take down small posters that say "IN GOD WE TRUST." They say the law is being violated. It was proposed on a radio station that we write "IN GOD WE TRUST" on the back of all our mail. After all, that is our national motto, and we spend a lot of money on stamps. Another good idea is to write it on all our E-mails too.

It's time to take back our nation from all the people who think that anything that offends them should be removed. It's been reported that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore it is hard to understand why there is such a mess about having "IN GOD WE TRUST" on our money, and having God in the pledge of Allegiance. Maybe it's time to tell the 14% of non-believers to sit down and shut up!!!!

Sorry folks, but this sort of thing really riles me. These so-called offended people have done their best to destroy all of our holidays and religious beliefs. You know, I always believe that if you don't like it here in this country, then go live somewhere else. English is the international language. Learn to read, write and speak it!! You can keep your customs and beliefs, but leave mine alone!!!

Okay, now we got my dander up. Time to go make a cup of coffee. Maybe I'll just go and pester Moo for a little while. That's it for today. Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

P.S. Don't forget, if you agree with me, write this on all your mails ( even emails) IN GOD WE TRUST.

Hear Hear! What a great idea. Don't let the US go the way of Canada where the newer immigrants have been allowed to push God and Christianity "underground".

On a lighter note, I love your work, thank you very much for sharing!

Does it count if you believe in more than one God and Goddesses as well, lol?
I know what you mean though-we have Muslim temples shooting out of the ground everywhere here and they complain about Church bells ringing on Sundays...WTF? They should try to fit in and accept the customs of the country they live in, if we go across to Muslim countries we are not even allowed to wear a pendant like a cross or pentacle -it's an arrestable offence. But when they are here they can get away with almost everything.;)
