Good morning. Last night was a really crappy night at work. I won't go into details, but it was a long one. The one good thing that happened was that while I was at the kitchen sink doing something, I happened to look up and out the window. I thought I saw a little blur near one of the butterfly bushes. Thinking that it just might be a butterfly flitting around, I grabbed my camera, switched the ISO to 1600, and started shooting away.
The little blur kept moving, so by now I figured it was most likely a hummingbird. Later, when I was able to view the photos on my laptop, I got a lovely surprise. It was a beautiful little green hummingbird. The photos would have been better if I had a zoom telephoto lens with me, and if I did not have to shoot through a window, but I'm thrilled with what I did get. After that, I spent hours going through all the photos, trying to pick out the best ones, and then putting together a scrap layout.
How are you all dealing with the muggies? I think humidity is probably the most uncomfortable weather, next to extreme cold. It's sort of like the other end of the spectrum. With either one, it's difficult to breathe. At least for me because of the asthma. Asthma does not like very cold or very humid weather. Maybe I should look into Colorado and see what it has to offer. I hear it's supposed to be a good place for people with asthma. On the other hand, I don't do so well with change now that I'm older.
I have to go out and pick up a few things, then it will be nap time for Bonzo here. Meanwhile, don't forget the 30% off sale at Magickal Scraps. There's lots of great stuff there for you. Y'all have a wonderful day.
Hugs, Edna B.
