A Nice Surprise In My Email

November 8, 2013

It feels like a good morning!  Last night I pushed myself to stay up later, and was able to sleep till about 6 a.m.  Tonight I have to work.  My friend at work needs Sunday off so I will work Sunday day for her.  I swapped tomorrow night for tonight so that I don't have to do a 24 hour shift.  I'm not feeling up that just yet.

Actually, I've been losing my voice since yesterday morning.  I surely hope I don't come down with yet another virus.  I need time to fully recover from the last one.   As I get older, it takes me so much longer to recuperate from whatever I manage to catch.

Late yesterday afternoon, Joe and I went food shopping.  I did not find any brain food gummies, but I did get some Vitamin C gummies.  I also got my Thanksgiving turkey.  It will stay in my freezer until a few days before Thanksgiving, when I will thaw it out and cook it.  Mmmm, mmmm. I can almost taste the turkey salad.

This morning I'm hoping to dig up some energy and go shopping at one of my favorite stores, Ocean State Job Lot.  They have quite a few nice bargains that I'm wanting to pick up.  I especially need to buy more bird food and suet cakes.

I also need to pick up a magnet.  I'm thinking of switching over to induction cooking, and only the stainless steel pans will work with it.  Hence, the magnet.  If it sticks to the pan, I can keep the pan for the new cook plate.  I don't need a whole cook top, just a couple of cook plates because that's about all I ever use when I am cooking.  This, in turn, will give me a bit more counter space.

I got another wonderful surprise in my email yesterday from Kyra.  Folks, this lady is sooooo talented in the scrap design department, and she makes the greatest layouts.  This new layout features the photo of me and Bobby at the restaurant the other night.  This is quite special to me because I am so lacking in photos of me and my family members, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren.  I am usually behind the camera.  Kyra, thank you so much.  This absolutely made my day brighter!

I went into my archives again to find more photos of the birds that regularly flock to the Mrs' bird feeder.   Here we have a Cardinal, a Woodpecker and a Blue Jay.  All photos were taken through her patio door windows.

Well, that's about all my news for this morning.  It's time to get dressed and start this great new day.  So till tomorrow, Y'all be safe and have a fantabulous day.

Hugs. Edna B.

I love the picture Kyra did of you and your grandson. That needs to be framed!

Great pictures of the birds too. We seldom see such colorful birds here.

Your grandson is so handsome, he has the most beautiful eyes and he looks like a very gentle and caring person.
The birds are beautiful. I've been running around all day, I need to get my Photoshop Friday posted pretty soon.

I am having to sneak in the back door again. I just don't understand why you get dropped from my dash board ... it seems more often than not. Anyway, I spent a lovely day at the Botanical Gardens again today. I just can't get enough of that place ... and they always have something special going on. This time it was a quilt show and it was magnificent. I will have pictures someday if I ever find the time to organize them. The weather was cool and the fall colors were beautiful, but most of them had fallen. Anyway, I got in a good bit of walking which my old body is badly in need of. It is after ten already and I am headed off to bed. Just couldn't let another day slip by without saying Hello :) Glad all is well will you ... catch you tomorrow.

Gosh, certainly hope you didn;t catch another birus, now that you lost your voice!
I have no experience with induction cooking, I do it on the gaz, and it;s good enough for me. Once we had also in my parental home, electric, but I didn;t like that.
You take a quiet day before you have to go to work, good you switched the day and you;ll be off tomorrow!
I had a real late night yesterday, went to bed too late, I will pay the price probably today LOL.
Oh well, we will survive it,just have to go to bed much earlier today!
Hugs
Kyra
