Good morning. Of course, it is quite sunny and lovely this morning - I'm at work! Yesterday's rain held off till mid afternoon so I managed to get a few things accomplished. Eddie and I went to order a truck load of garden soil and arranged for an early afternoon delivery. We also picked up a few things at Home Depot, along with a pot of Phlox and a Rhododendron plant. These will be planted later today when Joe gets home from work.
I did take a few photos of the new flowering cherry tree. Here is one of the whole tree, and then a close up of the gorgeous cherry blossoms.
Around 2 pm, the truck arrived with the garden soil, and Eddie and Kevin finished spreading it through the whole planting area along the fence. Later today the rest of the plants and bulbs will be planted, and then maybe over the weekend I can pick up more summer flowering bulbs and plants. I would like to get some peonies and trumpet vines. Maybe a few more dahlias, hollyhocks and a climbing rose.
It's time for me to start getting busy here, so I will post a freebie for you. This is a QP for Mothers' Day. Don't you just love that whimsical little rag dolly? She's one of my favorite scrap elements.
