Only Ten More Days Till Vacation!

February 21, 2019

Good morning.  It's only five thirty, not time for daylight yet.  We have more snow in the yard, but it's supposed to be turning to freezing rain soon (if it hasn't already).  Pogo and I have already had our breakfast, and now he is sleeping again.

Hmmm, I may join him and go back to bed when I finish posting today.  When I get up, I will have to tackle the tax stuff again.  I did not work on them yesterday.  So today I will have to, like it or not.  I want to get these close to finished this week so that next week I can concentrate on packing.

I need time to decide which craft things to take with me, and then to figure out how to pack them so that they don't take up too much space in my suitcase.  I'm not taking a lot of clothes because I'd like to buy a couple new outfits while I'm there in Florida.  I'm hoping that the new summer outfits are already in the stores there.

Last night, DIL Janet came by and she brought dessert with her.  This time she got an assortment of fudge brownies.  Oh yum!  And yes, I took some out to share with the dwarfs.  That's why Janet buys so many.  It's so we can share.  We had snow and freezing rain coming, so Janet had to leave fairly early to get home before the roads got slippery.

Speaking of snow, let me show you a cute photo of the snowman that Deanne made on her porch a couple days ago.  Isn't he just the cutest snowman?

I found a new crochet pattern for a shawl online and downloaded it.  It think I'd like to try this one.  It's really pretty.  You can go to http://naztazia.com and find lots of beautiful free patterns.

Today I will have to call my insurance broker to find out when they are planning on sending me the bill for my house insurance.  It is due in less than two weeks and it is not a tiny bill.  Every year, I have to call them at the last minute to have the bill mailed out to me.  I'm not sure why this is.  I would think they would want to give the customer a few weeks to pay the bill.

I'm starting to get a bit tired now so I think I'll take a small nap before tackling the tax stuff.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Good Morning Edna,
By now I am hoping that your able to sleep. I haven't been able to sleep more than a few minutes at a time. I really am hoping that this insomnia phase goes away before we get to Florida. I would like to have some energy while I am there.

The snowman DeeDee made is definitely a cutie. I love his little hat and smile. We are getting misting rain right now. I looked at the weather forecast and apparently it is suppose to rain for the next 3 days. At least it isn't supposed to rain constantly as it has been. Just on and off showers or so they say. I think that we are going to need a boat if this keeps up. I heard that we have opened a flood gate at the Dam to help disperse the water so we won't get flooded again.

I got up to go to the rest room a little while ago and missed the door handle and broke my thumb nail. I had to get the clippers and cut off the broken nail and then file it down and then smooth it out so that is why I am up at 6:30 am. I was so sleepy that I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. Well that woke me up. Just waiting on my coffee now.

I am very glad to hear that Pogo ate breakfast. I was getting a little worried about him not eating. I hope that you both are snoozing and that the freezing rain and snow is over for you soon. Good Luck working on your taxes today.
I will talk to you later... Hugs, Beth

Well, aren't you the lucky one to be planning for a vacation. Do you have family in Florida? I may have asked this before but for the life of me, I can't remember:) Enjoy your day dear friend and get busy making that pretty shawl (wink). HUGS!

Good luck on your taxes! Mine are done and it is such a relief! Have fun dreaming about your trip and packing - I struggle so much on taking too much every time I travel but I don't want to get somewhere and not have something I need- HA!

Pattern of that swals looks real pretty. I might go to that blog to see for the stitch. Might do good for other things too.
Hope that this weekend you will be done with your taxes. every year it is an annoying thing to do, I know.
Some companies seem not to care a bit about their customers. Like your insurance broker. Why cannot they just send it on time by themselves?
Why always wait till the customers makes the phonecall? I can get soooo angry about those things.
Next week you really will be busy to get everuthing ready for your vacation.
The time there will do you certainly good and you will have nice company.
Have a lovely week.
Hugs
