Making A Nice Dent In My Christmas Shopping

October 7, 2018

Good afternoon.  Gosh, if I wait much longer I'll be able to say "Good Evening."  I've been so busy today doing only God knows what that time has completely gotten away from me.  So, while I'm typing this post, I'll be keeping an eye on the hamburgers that I'm cooking for Pogo.

In between today's chores, I've been keeping an eye on the great sales on the shopping channels.  I must say, I got me some great deals on a few Christmas gifts.  I can't say what they are because that would spoil the surprises at Christmas.

I was checking all my dollies the other day and came across one that I had forgotten.  This one is done in Orchid, with Crushed Berries for the ruffles.  I'm so glad I found her because I was thinking of making one in these colors.  It's a good thing my head is attached to my neck and shoulders because I'd misplace that too.

Before I picked my first harvest, I took a few photos.  Anything with color on it got picked.  I've already tasted them and they are simply delish!

Well, Friday the fellow came to check my oxygen machines just before two p.m.  By the time he left, I was feeling sorry for him.  He still had a whole days worth of calls to make.  The company is short staffed right now.  Hopefully, they'll hire some more people.

I just went out to check Pogo's hamburgers and they are done so I made up a plate for him.  Then I put my hamburger on to cook.  Mine has bacon and cheddar cheese mixed in with it, so Pogo doesn't like it.  He likes his hamburger unadulterated.

Unfortunately for me, I forgot to call the computer repair shop to see if I could pick up my laptop yesterday.  I didn't remember until after store hours.  So, on my way back from picking up Audrey tomorrow, I'll stop by and get it.  Well, first I'll have to call in the morning early to make sure it is ready for me.

Yesterday, Joe put a couple coats of lacquer on my beautiful welcome sign.  Today, he took down the greenhouse and put it away for next Spring. I was planning on cleaning the porch today, but I haven't had much of a chance to get out there yet.  So, maybe tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday I can get to it.  Audrey and I may want to do a bit of grocery shopping tomorrow.

Now I need to go check on my hamburger.  First let me post a new quick page.  This one is the beginning of some Halloween quick pages.  Have fun with it.

So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Your veggies did very well. I planted my fall garden a week ago and it's already beginning to grow. (mustard greens, swiss chard, giant red mustards, tender greens mustards and collards.) I was going to plant some winter squash but didn't order the seeds in time. In our zone (9) planting a fall garden is in September. I was trying to save the collards that I planted in the spring for the fall season like my mom use to do, but it was so hot, the heat from the sun destroyed them. When I get more strength I will have my son to help me frame my garden and put it in a greenhouse. Something ate holes in my melons and kushaw pumpkins. My neighbor next door doesn't keep her grass cut until I get tired and turn her in to the HOA and I think mice or rats are hiding out in her grass. I haven't seen any but the holes in my melons are a clue. Living very close to a wooded area (nature park) you really have to keep things cleaned. That's not her. This is rental property on a government housing voucher program and majority doesn't care. I didn't know this when I bought the home but the landlord always say they are not on that program but they are. Every family move there because none is working and you can't pay $1400. a month rent and sit home. (lol) I believe in if you needed it accept it but get up and do what you need to do and stop tearing up the neighborhood, fighting in the street and loud music. Tell Pogo I love him. Have a great evening.
