Happy Birthday Jack Jack

Good morning.  Looks like today will be a really nice Fall day with temps hitting seventy degrees later this afternoon.  I'm hoping that the nice weather will give me lots of energy because I have lots to do around the house today. 

Yesterday was a busy day for Pogo and me.  We left in the morning to pick up Deanne and Jazzy, then drove Jazzy to her college.  Then Deanne, Pogo and I were off on an all day shopping trip.  First, we wandered all through the Christmas Tree Shoppe, trying not to miss anything.   I got the cutest sign to put up outside my gate.  I'll take a photo later today to share with you. 

Next we stopped by Party City to check out the Halloween costumes for babies and toddlers.  We got lucky and found two really adorable outfits for Xander and Aurora.  Their mom has promised to send photos of them in their costumes.

We couldn't call it a day until we stopped by Ocean State Job Lot to see what was new there.  We could only spend about half an hour here though so we wouldn't be late to pick up Jazzy.  We got to the parking lot at the college about two minutes before Jazzy came out.  Wowsie!  How about that for some great timing!

By the time Pogo and I got home, we had just about enough time to bring in the bundles before Joe got home from work and Pogo could have his turkey treat.  Last night, I sat down to watch a bit of TV and crochet, and I woke up a few hours later with the crochet hook still in my hand. 

Yesterday was also Jack Jack's birthday.  Gosh, he's growing up so fast!  Soon, I'll have to start dropping one of the Jacks off his name.  He's becoming quite the handsome young man.  Happy Birthday, Jack Jack, I hope your day was awesome.  May everything you wish for come true.  I love you.

Today I have a new quick page for you.  This one shows how beautiful horses and Nature are.  I hope when my great grandchildren grow up, there are still lots of beautiful open lands like this for our wildlife to roam free.

Does anyone remember the Sears Wish Book?  It used to come out around the beginning of September.  I would pour through it and make my lists, and then one night after the kids were all sound asleep, I would write out my Christmas shopping order and send it in. 

When everything arrived, I would wrap and tag it and put in away in a closet until Christmas.  By the time Christmas came, I would have it all paid for.  I think millions of other folks were doing the same thing.  I kind of miss that Wish Book.

Here are a couple things that I borrowed from the web to start your day with a chuckle. 

Gosh, I'll be so glad to get my laptop back and be able to crop pictures again.  The shop called me yesterday afternoon to say that I should be able to pick up my laptop this coming Saturday.  I surely hope so. 

DIL Janet couldn't come by last week or last night because of some bug that she caught.  She's been really sick.  Hopefully, she'll get better quickly.  I really miss our time together. 

Now I have a few blogs to get caught up with before I start my chores.  So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.
