Good morning. It's gray and damp outside and fifty three degrees. There are good sized puddles everywhere. The last weather report that I listened to said that today would be sunny and close to seventy degrees. I guess Mother Nature wasn't listening. Or maybe she's saving the good weather for later today?
Well, yesterday was a busy day for me. However, as I sit here typing, I can't think of anything that I actually did. Other than wash a few dishes, make a few phone calls, and make a couple new quick pages, nothing is really coming to mind. Well, I did go outside and tend to the plants on the porch and in the greenhouse. That's something.
I guess I'll have to start carrying a pad of paper and a pen so that I can write down the things that I do each day. Hmmm, that could prove to be very interesting. When I think of all the things I used to do on any given day compared to what I do now, I'm amazed at how much I've slowed down.
I found an adorable image on a friend's blog, and just had to borrow it to share here. It just seems so very appropriate, not just for the weather but for life in general. I just love how the little doggie is also wearing a rain slicker.
Yesterday I did go online and order some new yarn. I also bought a new pattern for crocheted hand towels. They are made with cotton yarn, so of course, I ordered some of this yarn too. I haven't crocheted any towels before, so I thought this might be a fun project.
Here's a photo of the Cranberry afghan that I finished. Now that it's done, I really like it.
This is the month when JTV (Jewelry Television) has it's inventory clearance sales, so I try to watch for a little while each day. I'm looking for something specific for a birthday gift. So far, I haven't found it, but I'm sure I will if I'm persistent. (tee hee hee, that's not such a tough thing to do!)
I dug out some pretty pink yarn that I bought a while ago. It was on sale for such a great price that I just couldn't resist it. Then I went through my yarn stash to see if I had anything to put with it for an afghan. This will be for my oldest great granddaughter, and her favorite colors are pink, blue, purple and black. Woo Hoo! I found exactly what I was looking for. This variegated yarn has most of her favorite colors in it and it matches the pink yarn. What do you think?
So now when I get tired of working on the baby afghan, I can work on the pink afghan. I can't wait to get a few more rows on the pink one so that I can see how the variegated yarn looks with it (after it is crocheted).
Goodness, I do believe the sun just might make an appearance soon. It's getting a bit brighter outside. I guess by tomorrow the temps should be getting back into the seventies. Gosh, I hope so. Pogo and I are wanting to spend some time out on the porch. I have a lot of planting stuff out there and it all needs to be put away. I think I'll put it all in a box and set it under the bottom shelf in the greenhouse. For now. Later it can all be put away in the shed.
Later today, DIL Janet should be coming by after work. I'll have to think of something tasty for our supper. Her favorite is Stouffer's macaroni and cheese, so maybe we'll have that. I just happen to have some in my freezer.
Today I have a quick page for all you folks born in June. This one features pearls, your birthstone. I hope you like it.
Here's your download link:
Expired
Now I'm going to have a cup of coffee, my first one this morning, and do a bit of blog reading. So, till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

Good Morning,
I hope that you have a wonderful day and can spend time out on the porch. I cannot believe how beautiful the cranberry afghan turned out and I just love the colors of the pink... Wow.. that one is going to knock the socks off your great granddaughter... It is just beautiful.
I am on my second cup of coffee and contemplating on cleaning my kitchen. Jonathan had a fund raiser at his job today. They are raising money for their end of the year Christmas party and he is head of the Perk Committee and they did a nacho bar. He cooked the hamburger meat, chopped the onions and the tomatoes and made the guacamole. Our house smells like onions and the nice thing is that he left the kitchen a mess. I know I should leave it to he and Karyn to clean but I know that they were rushed getting everything ready. He didn't want to do the whole hamburger thing. He just wanted to do the chips, cheese and peppers.. That is what nachos really are but he had to appease the rest of the committee so he ended up with most of the work.
Better go and work on my blog. Have an awesome day... xx Beth
