Never A Dull Moment In Our Neighborhood

December 4, 2015

Good morning.  The sun is shining and it is 39F degrees.  We should be in the upper 40's later today.  This is about normal for this time of year, and as long as the sun is shining it's really not so bad.

Well, last night we had lots of excitement in our neighborhood.  Our neighbor across the street insists on leaving vehicles parked out on the street at night (daytime too), so there is an accident happening every few weeks.  Last night's accident was a wicked bad one.

The neighbor's pickup truck was parked on the street, and an oncoming automobile hit it.  The car was flipped and landed on it's side, making it impossible for the occupants to get out of the car.  In just moments, we had fire engines, police and tow trucks out front, plus an assortment of neighbors watching all the action.  Two persons were taken by ambulance to a hospital, and both vehicles were taken away on tow trucks.

I got off track yesterday, and did not accomplish much that was on my "to do" list.  But, I did spend a few hours on my laptop making new Christmas QP's.  What can I say?  It's addicting and so very relaxing.

Oh my, do I have some really adorable photos to share this morning.  I have photos of Baby Ali wearing one of her new jammies, and tucked into her baby cocoon.  Gosh almighty, she is just so darned adorable!

Now I can't wait to start the next cocoon set.  While we were food shopping yesterday at Walmart, I found a really pretty new green yarn.  This one is called "Honeydew" and is just right for a baby outfit.

After all the evening's excitement, I settled into my comfy lounge chair and finished making a new neck warmer.  One more to go, and I can start the new cocoon set.  After that, I have that baby dress pattern I'd like to try.

Today I need to get serious and pay a few bills before starting more wrapping.  This weekend, Joe will set up our Christmas tree out in the main house, and I'll be putting my little tree up.  There's a box of presents just waiting to be put under the tree.

Before I get started here, I have another QP freebie for you.  It's fun, with a bit of whimsy.  I hope you can use it.  Enjoy.

Now it's time for me to start on today's "to do" list.  So till Sunday, Y'all have a fantabulous weekend.

Hugs, Edna B.

Edna,
Oh lovely QP. I am sure that I will be able to use it and the rest of them a one point or another. I still have to do my cousins memory page. I updated my blog yesterday and wow... It went a bit into the past. Sometimes it is healing to go back and revisit even the not so pleasant memories.

After I posted I started feeling very sick to my stomach. Needless to say it was sprite and crackers and sleep. I took a pill for nausea that my doctor gave me and those little tiny pills are such a help. Jonathan was sick to his stomach too and Cisco had just had to get into the act so we are thinking a stomach bug hit us. Today Nathan says that he feels a little sick but nothing bad.

Baby Ali is just so sweet and adorable in her new cocoon... That green is going to be so lovely. I want to do something creative. I am thinking of picking up a Christmas jigsaw puzzle that we can all work on. If I ever make it to the store. I told Jonathan yesterday that there was no way I could go and a good thing I did because it was less than an hour before I was so sick.

I have a mystery. I am one for keeping a stock of cleaning supplies and not only keeping that stocked up I am one to have on hand cleaning cloths and dish cloths. I know that I must have had between 50 and 75. Well now I can only find 6. Yes 6 of the dish cloths and 3 cleaning cloths. I told my boys I know that they are here. Did you fold them or put them away somewhere? They searched and came up with 2 that was in their bathroom. I have no idea where they are, so I nosed around in my closet and was hoping to find a stash that I have not opened yet but so far nada....So guess what is on my grocery list? My cup and tea towels are also diminishing. This is odd. I know that they have to be here some place. Who would want used dish rags?

So very sorry about the accident last night. I hope that everyone is alright. Man oh Man that neighbor of yours should be hung up by his toenails. I hope that his insurance is very displeased with him. It would be considered his fault I would think but perhaps if there is no sign saying not to park there then I would send out a petition to get a sign put up. That's so sad!

Time for Breakfast and then over to my blog.. Have a great day and see you on Sunday! Hugs, Beth and Cisco!

She is a cutie and with such huge eyes, what a charmer. The cocoon looks great on her and I'm sure she appreciates the warmth and softness it provides.

Oh Edna! I was hoping to see the baby cocoon with Ali in it. You know as cute as it was when you finished it, Ali just makes it look perfect! She is gorgeous!
