Good morning. Goodness, I've already done a whole day's work, and it's only 7:30 a.m. Last night, I fell asleep really early - around 9:30, and did not wake up until almost 1:30 this morning. So I decided to just get up and do a few things around here.
First, I decided to tackle the bedroom. I must say, that I was quite the busy little bee but I'm not really sure if I actually accomplished much. I did fill a little bag with trash (note I said "little" bag), and I put a few piles of clean clothes away.
I packaged up a box of pretty things to mail off to my daughter Laura Jean the end of next week. Her birthday is only two weeks away, and I can't get over the fact that my baby is turning fifty. Forty nine years and six months ago, (1966) the hospital called me and said to come and take her home.
They did not believe she would live the ride home, but at least I would get to hold her one more time.
Well, my beautiful little girl wasn't ready to go anywhere just yet. We've had a lot of ups and downs throughout the years, but God has been watching over her. The staff at the pediatric facility where she lives take excellent care of our Laura Jean. I am very thankful for this.
Of course, all this makes me wonder how I got so old so quickly. My mind does not feel old, but I've shrunk down about an inch, and my hair has been thinning. My long thick braids will never be again, and memory lapses a tiny bit every now and then. Hmmm, all signs of getting old.
Enough of my babble. I took a photo of the neck warmers that I have finished so far. These are fun and easy to make. If anyone wants the pattern just let me know.
Today is Wednesday, so I have another freebie for you. It's just a bit of whimsy and nature, but I hope you can use it.
Here is your download link:

Mr. Pogo has turned his little nose up at just about everything I've offered him for food. So, this morning I've given him a plate of Paul Newman's premium dog food. I have not been successful in the past getting him to eat this, although before I got him, he liked it. (or so they said) However, where he is not interested in the steak, roast beef and hamburger, he'll have to settle for dog food.
Now I think I'll get back to doing a few things around the house before my mind realizes that it is getting tired and in need of a nap. haha. So. till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

You have been so busy. Hee Hee. I know that feeling, I have to get that spare bedroom, formerly Jeremy's room, in order. I have tossed everything in there but until this rain goes away I can not work in my garage so I am beating myself up.
The dogs are not happy about the rainy weather. They love chasing birds and rabbits outside so...one day they are going to catch that arrogant rabbit. Taunting them!
Smokey and Stella caught a goose once, it was just awful. But they have the hunting blood so I understand why they did it. Jeremy told us a squirrel was tormenting them at his house and one of it's babies fell out of the nest. Smokey snatched it up and Jeremy yelled and he dropped it. Jeremy had to get a small shovel and set him back up into the nest, he was just stunned from the fall. Thank goodness. Jeremy said it was the tiniest little thing ever.
Leo is having a barking fit so time to let him out. He is terribly naughty.
More later, take care.
Hugs, Anne
It is such a struggle to find food our little fuzzy friends will eat, isn't it. When I think I have the perfect cat food for George, he'll throw up and I'm off to try another. He'll love it one day and snub it the next. Thank goodness Left Brain is easier to feed!
You are a busy one. You do a nice job on the neck warmers.
I liked the green cat hut from Monday. But I bet you’d figure that. lol
I agree that it’s good Kevin doesn’t have to live in a bubble; hard to play sports in a bubble. But it’s awful that insurance doesn’t cover whatever Kevin and his doctor decide is the right treatment.
Everyone knows that kids age so much more than adults do. Remember I posted not so long ago about “my” 21-year-olds. And 50 isn’t so old… ;)
The neck warmers are neat. That can turn a transitional outfit into one for cooler weather.
I think Pogo and Marco need to be email about the food. Marco can tell Pogo about the joy of eating everything and Pogo can teach Marco how to be a tad more finicky!
I’m going to watch the Cubs…probably not be the 2004 Red Sox! Hopefully I’ll be blogging tomorrow. :)
Hugs, Nani
thank you for another wonderful page! I hope you were successful in getting him to eat a little something. hope the new vitamins aren't throwing his appetite off. the neckwarmers turned out beautifully!
Wow, you got up early, only 1.30 a.m. that is in the middle of the night!
Hope you did take a nap later that day.
Isn;t it wonderful to see how strong a baby can be? Your Laura had a real strong will to survive and see, she's almst turning 50 years old!
And it is good to know she is well taken care of in the facility.
Your neckwarmers look fun, I don;t know if I would wear one actually, I don't like it when my neck ( better said my throat part) is covered too much.
Our furry friends give us sometimes some trouble, hey? Well, when at times Brodski doesn;t want to eat what I give him, I try to let it in his bowl, till he really gets hungry and then he will eat it. I sometimes have succes with it, let's say 30%???? LOL.
I'll see if i can do some things here today, also have to make a phonecall and perhaps I must get out after it, depends the answer. I hope it will not be necessary, because at the moment it is raining.
You have a quiet day with a nap, and hopefully Pogo will have a few bites of his dogfood.
Hugs
Kyra
