Lots Of Freebies Today.

January 14, 2013

Good morning.  Gosh, do you believe?  We are almost at the half mark for the month of January.  On one hand,  this is good because we move closer to Spring.  On the other hand, this is bad because I'm running out of time to get my taxes done.  I have an early date with my accountant this year so I really have to get with it.

I'm at work, and overnight my cold has blossomed into a doozy.  I know I caught it here because everyone including the Mrs has been sick with a cold.  Unfortunately, some people don't know enough to stay home when they are sick.   I suppose this is where the old saying "Misery loves company" comes in.

Last night when I was coming into the house, I noticed a tiny weed growing near the steps outside the door.  I picked one and put it in a vase so that I could photograph it.   I have no clue what it is, but it sure is rather pretty.  If you know what it is, let me know.

Today I have a couple of freebies for you.   These are two 2013 QP's to make layouts with your New Years celebration photos.  I hope you can use them.  There is a TOU included with each of them naming the sources of the materials used.

Later this morning, Su will be posting her Parts 1 & 2 of  "A Child's Xmas"  so don't forget to stop by her blog and pick them up.  She also has a new brush set for you to download.  While you're there, do take a moment to stop and say thank you.  It is well appreciated.  Here's her preview for Parts 1& 2:

Well, it's getting close to 6:30 a.m. and I need to check on the Mrs again before I start packing up my stuff to go home.  So till tomorrow, Y'all have a fabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

I agree, it's a pretty weed; and with the water drops on it it's a gorgeous classic Edna photo! But I don't know what kind of plant it is, sorry there.

I downloaded the first QP.I just love it with the blue and the birds. I wonder if I'll get a photo of the hospital or use one of our turkey and add the January 6 date? LOL I think maybe the photo of the turkey would be better. I need to get some photos of us in 2013. The ones David took of e in the hospital with his phone are just not at all flattering!

Now I'm finishing my coffee and looking fr a polka dot Snuggie tat I can have to keep me warm while I'm typing as we're expecting some cold days ahead!

Thank you for the quick pages!

Hugs, Nani

My goodness, a brave little weed to stick her pretty little head up in this miserably cold weather. I will be watching your comments to see if anyone knows what it is. Great picture too.

Sorry you have a cold again. The last one you had was a doozy ... hope you get a handle on this one before it gets out of hand. You know the drill, fluids, rest, vitamin C, zinc, more rest, healthy foods and on and on. Show that old cold who's in charge!

We have below zero windchill this morning ... first time this year, I think. Izzi was all full of vim and vigor and didn't want to come in from her Frisbee game. My neighbor gave me a pair of felted mittens for Christmas and, though I lose some dexterity in handling the Frisbees, the trade off for those, oh so warm, mittens is well worth it. We are supposed to have sun and cold all week. I love it ... I don't mind cold weather. I just add another layer and I am off. But, I have to say the grey days of winter weigh heavy on my mood ... cold and sunshine, that is how it should be.

My week looks pretty open on my calendar page. That doesn't happen often. The challenge is, do I take advantage and get things done I generally don't have time for ... Or, do I take advantage and do some fun stuff I don't usually have time for. Hmmmm, let me see .... :) Which would you choose? I know I will probably do a little of both, though you know which one I would like to do. I do have to live with myself though and I don't like irresponsible me very well.

I love your Freebies today, especially the blue one with the birds. You know, I do love birds :) Thank you. You are such a thoughtful person. How does one do things to make you happy ... question of the day. On that thought, I will close ... I need to think about that:) Have a great day, Edna, and take care of that cold.

Hiya! Me thinks the plant is gingko. It looks like those leaves if it isn't.

Sorry I missed you this morning. The nurse called. I had to go have blood work done. Maybe Wednesday? LOL

Hugs,

Su

Hopefully a day in a warm bed will help to get rid of your cold.
We had a little snow yesterday, but when I woke up this morning there was a thick cover and it still is snowing!
It looks beautiful fresh snow. But I fear it will not stay this way.
Have to get out today, and it is better to walk on "fresh: snow then wait till it has become all dirty, crushed together and much more slippery.
Don;t know the name of the weed.
Stay warm, and get rid of that cold!

Good morning, smell the coffee? I am finally online today (took a break yesterday as I had work to catch up on)and I am having my coffee while I am catching up!
We are having Thunder Snow and Thunder Sleet! Yesterday morning it was Snow Pellets! I think the 27 degrees and wind chill of 19 both mornings means winter is finally coming to Texas...LOL! It is to be 60 again this weekend after last weekend in the 70's! No wonder so many sick folks! The hospitals are even asking people to not bring children to the hospital for fear of them catching this flu that is going around! No vaccine in the are either!
Sorry you have a cold, hope it goes away soon! Take care!
Thanks for the freebies and am now off to visit Su! Have a great week ahead! Hugs, Mat
