Such A Character, My Little Guy

August 8, 2012

What a weird night.  There was very little sleep forth coming, so at 4:45 a.m., I decided to get up and work on the computer.  After spending two hours going through my blog and deleting all the old links, I discovered that Blogger had taken two older posts and placed them at the top of the blog where today's post should be.

I don't know about you, but Blogger is getting scary to work with.  If you can't go back in and delete links without messing up the order that the posts are posted, then maybe it's time to think about some changes here.  Su's friend said he will help me set up my own web site if I want, and I'm giving it some very serious thought.

Gosh, what a character Pogo is!  He woke up a few minutes ago and I took him out for a sprinkle.  Now that we're back in the house, he's prancing around doing his "feed me" dance.  I told him to wait until I'm finished posting here, so he started doing all sorts of little tricks to get me to play.  He is just the cutest little kid.

An update on my spider bite - most of the areas have cleared up except for my left leg which is still a bit of a mess.  The leg is still red and gets itchy a lot.  The effects of the prednisone are starting to clear up, thank goodness.  There's just a few small bruises left and they are starting to fade.

At the moment, it's quite nice outside (70F degrees).  In a couple more hours though it will be back up in the mid 80's.  It looks (according to the weatherman) as if Friday will be the only cool day this week.  We shall see.

I have some photos to share that I took at the park last week.  These are just a few of the different types of plants growing along the water's edge.  You might call them weeds, but I call them pretty.

Now I think I'm going to make some scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast.  This is a new favorite for Pogo.  Of course, I crumble his bacon very tiny and mix it into his eggs.  Just because he doesn't have teeth doesn't mean he can't have good food.

Ceasar has a new type of dog food that I bought to try.  It has veggies in it and Pogo ate it all up.  Pogo also likes the Select brand of refrigerated dog food.  This also has veggies in it.  For a snack at night, a little bowl of vanilla ice cream hits the spot.

I'm off to the kitchen now.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Good Morning to you too ... scambled eggs sounds good. Yes, I'll have some thank you:) Your flower pictures are beautiful. I have seen the same flowers along our waterways when they have water in them ... sadly most of them are dry at this point. Love Pogo ... love that you love Pogo. Doesn't get any better than that, does it. Have a wonderful day in your mid
80's. To me that is cool relatively speaking.

The beautiful plants are purple loosestrife and are a threat to native plants as they spread so rapidly. Another one of those things man has done by introducing a non-native variety. I do agree they are beautiful though.
Pogo sounds like he's coming into his own.

Agree with you that at times Blogger scares me too. But till now I seem to be able to handle it LOL!
Your little Pogo certainly has character! He already knows so well how to get your attention and oh my, he gets spoiled( a bit doesn;t do any harm though).
It's about time the spider bite disappears completely. Is it just an idea of me, or is it true that if we have a bruise or something else that botheres us, it takes longer time to heal than it did when we were really young?
Whatever, as long as it gets away I am happy.
Hey, have a great day
Hugs
