Oh what a beautiful morning! It's going to be a scorcher later on but right now it is just gorgeous. Of course, I'm at work so there will be no going out to play today.
I do want to look up a place called "The Butterfly Place". One of my co-workers took her family there for a day and she said "It's a must-see for anyone with a camera." The travel time is about an hour and a half each way, but she said it's worth it.
I also want to check into pet health insurance. Had I done this with Tootsie when I first got her, it would have saved me thousands of dollars. This time around, I have learned my lesson. There will be no appointments with the doctors until the insurance is in place.
Today I have a new piece of photo art to share. This one is for "Photo Art Friday" at Pixel Dust Photo Art. The theme for this week is "containers". I used Bonnie's (PDPA) texture overlay "Dusty Rose Bokeh" twice on this photo with a bit of Photoshop manipulation in between layers.
I also finished another piece of photo art for another forum but that will have to wait until tomorrow. I have to figure out how to get the photo uploaded to that site.
Very late last night while Pogo was sound asleep, something woke him up with a nasty start (sort of like a bad dream), and it took more than an hour to get him settled down again. Gosh, I felt so bad for him. Whatever it was, it had him scared quite a lot.
Well, that's all the news for this morning. The Mrs is calling, so it's time for me to get back to work. Till tomorrow, Y'all have a wonderful day.
Hugs, Edna B.

Terrific photo...glad you are having so much fun with the photo challenges and hope you get to photo the butterflies! Have a terrific weekend ahead! Hugs for U N Pogo 2~:)
Good Morning Edna. As usual you have created a beautiful picture for PAF. I love the intensity of the color with the softened background. As for poor Pogo, I am guessing, since he is a rescue, that he has had some bad experiences that will haunt him on occasion. He is very lucky that you are giving him the love he deserves and can understand and comfort him when his fears come to the surface.
Your butterfly trip sounds so tempting, but for me it would be to many miles. We do have a butterfly place at the Botanical Gardens, but when I went with my freind she had to leave early so we missed it (sadly). Maybe next year ... Have a wonderful day

I am calling by from Photo Art Friday what a beautiful composition for the meme.
I love the color palette used here!
Edna, this is beautiful. The colors together are luscious. I wonder if the colors came from the bokeh.....
Pet insurance is a great idea! We spent $60 a month just for Azzie's medicine for 7 years. Then there was vet appointments and in-office meds for her seizures. Insurance would have been helpful. Now of course, David isn't a great fan. But he figures when there are big vet bills he just buys a couple fewer model train cars that month. SO glad he has an expensive hobby to cover it! (shakes head)
Your container photo is beautiful!
Have a great weekend!
Hugs, Nani
Beautiful photoart, like the colors!
Oh poor Pogo, he may have had a nightmare!
May be it is a good idea about the insurance. I have no idea of the costs, but if you do have to go rather often to te vet, it will be much cheaper with the insurance.
Have a nice lazy day!
Hug
