Tis another gorgeous morning here in my little part of the world. My little fellow has already gone outside and sprinkled his patch of grass, and eaten all of his breakfast. Alas, it was dog food, but he relished it anyway. Now he is fast asleep again by my side.
I took some photos a couple of days ago while Dee Dee was here with Sassy. Pogo gets all excited when Sassy comes to visit, but Sassy just isn't as cooperative as Pogo would like her to be. She's not "that kind" of girl. Sassy would like to play and run around, but my Pogo is into more macho stuff. After a while, Pogo gives up and turns to his other friend, Miss Bunny. We'll have to work on this.
I had a leash on Pogo for a while until I was sure the two doggies would actually get along, and not fight with each other. I may have to look into behavior classes to teach Pogo that there are other things doggies can do to have fun.
Yesterday, after supper, Pogo and I went for a ride, then stopped by Petco to look for a small carry bag. We found a really nice one, along with two XS tee shirts. From there we went to a nearby Dairy Queen (soft ice cream) and shared a small vanilla cone. Gosh, Pogo really spoils me, doesn't he?
When we got home and tried the new carrier, the shoulder straps kept slipping off my shoulders, so this will have to be returned. However, we are keeping the two little tee shirts. One is sleeveless, and is maybe a tad big, but I'm sure it will probably shrink a speck in the wash and fit perfectly. Here's a photo of Pogo in his new orange shirt.
I finally got to wash Pogo's face last night and got off some of the yucky stuff. There was old dried up tears and other junk stuck to his face (from the oral surgery). His face has been very tender and he wasn't letting anyone touch it. But now he looks so much better with a clean face.
Next, I have to decide if we should let his hair grow back till he's covered with lots of curly hair, or if we should just keep it the way it is. I rather like the way he looks now. Hmmm, we'll have to think on this.
Do I seem to talk a lot about Pogo? Yeah, well he certainly does require a lot of my time But this would be true of any new pet. Especially a rescue pet. They need time to feel wanted, and to get used to their new surroundings. However, now I need to start spending a bit of time doing all the other things that need doing. We're getting there.
Tonight, it's back to work. Oh joy! Pogo will get to stay with Joe, his nighttime babysitter. I surely hope this goes better than the daytime situation did. I will make sure he has had his supper before I leave for work. It's going to take some time for Pogo to get used to the sitters. I could probably leave him alone, but I'm not really comfortable doing that. The time element is too long.
Enough of my chatter. Now it's time for me to get dressed and start doing a few things around here. Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fabulous day.
Hugs, Edna B.

I have been without a phone, TV and internet since a storm passed through yesterday. Thankfully they got to us this morning and I can try to get caught up. This after the week from hell that already had me reeling.
I love Pogo's orange shirt ... You should use that picture for your Mandarin Orange Monday. It would be perfect.
I think you are doing wonderfully with Pogo and clearly he thinks so too. He is soooo adorable. I am happy for you both.
I saw your note about my award yesterday on my phone, but couldn't get to it. Thank you so much, you are so kind. I will pick it up and start working on it today.
Sorry your "Mrs" is such a pill and that you are one of her targets. She is foolish though, because, to get at you, she is having to suffer through the heat as well. Not a very smart lady. It doesn't surprise me that you rise above it. You are a good person. Have a wonderful Sunday and maybe I will see you tomorrow on Mandarin Orange :)

Pogo is ooking better and better. He really is feeling home with you. I can understand you don;t want to leave him alone while you;re working. I too don;t like to leave animals behind for a long time. Now cats are a bit easier, but still don;t like it.
Hahahaha, Pogo really has to learn that he can actually play with other diggies and not only the "riding along"stuff LOL!
Well, have a lovely day.

Wow what a handsome little man Pogo is, love his new shirt and clean face. He really is training your quite properly....LOL! Have a fabulous week ahead! Hugs! Mat
He is so cute, especially all cleaned up. It looks like he's adjusting well to his new home.
Pogo looks absolutely adorable dressed in orange and all wrapped up in light green soft stuff. Thank you for sharing it on Mandarin Orange Monday Edna:)
Your story about your car and technology reminded me of a "new - secondhand car" we had just bought having having an alarm system that would not turn off. We were driving along the road, also with flashing lights but thankfully no noisy siren. The easy solution of course was to disconnect the alarm - eventually.
So beautiful! Landed here from Mandarin Orange Monday (MoM).
I hope you can also visit my Mandarin Orange entry, thank you.
PS. I am your new follower, would you follow my little blog back? Thanks!
