It's looking a bit gray outside this morning, so I think we'll be getting some rain today. No problem, it's still warm. I'm sitting here drinking coffee and watching the shopping channel. They are showing holiday craft projects, photo scrapbooks and home crafted holiday cards. Some of these things are sooooo pretty!
I must say though that I'm not so crazy about the scrap pages. I don't understand what's so pretty about a page with all sorts of do-dads pasted all over it with a little photo glued on somewhere. I try to make the photo the main focus of the page, with a few elements to enhance the photo. But then, our differences is what makes the world go round!
Yesterday's mail brought my new calendars. Oh wow, they came out so good! I only have twenty of these printed to give as gifts, so I'm really happy when they come out nice. This put me in a holiday mood, so I sat down and put the stamps on all my holiday cards. Next, I have to start the gift wrapping. This is not my funnest part so it takes me a while to get to it.
I hung my new Christmas bow on my front door and took a photo to share with you. I found this bow at Home Depot and I couldn't resist buying it. Isn't this pretty?
This next photo shows the morning mist rising in the field across the street from where I work. You really have to be quick because in just a few moments, the mist rises and the photo op is lost. The little building is an antique corn shed.
Today, I'm going shopping to pick up a couple more gifts. Have you noticed how quickly this month of November is flying by? There are only forty days left to finish our Christmas shopping. Actually, I only have a couple more weeks because a lot of my gifts have to be mailed out.
Now it's time to give Tootsie her meds and decide what to have for breakfast. Till tomorrow, Y'all have a magnificent day.
Hugs, Edna B.

I love the mist rising and the old shed. I adore old buildings and photos that set that mystical mood. You captured it well.
Oh Edna, that bow is beautiful! I love the traditional colors on a snowy or icy looking background. (Yes, snow and ice are fine as COLORS only.)
The corn shed photo just takes my breath away! Yes, I like the subject, what a neat building, but the timing and getting the mist just right and, WOW! You did VERY well on that one. Sometimes I read your blog and smile because you are a treasured friend. Other times, especially with your photos, I’m blown away and wish that just a little of your awesome can rub off on me! :D
I agree with you on the itty bitty photo in the crowded scrapbook pages, but there is a difference between a page dome to record memories and one done as art in itself. I’m more the sentimental record keeper than the artist. That’s why I journal so much. More words than elements per page for me. I think that goes back to the right brain/left brain thing.
School always has me Christmas panicky by the end of November, but I’m doing okay with gifts, just really need to work on the verse for our cards so I can finish them to get the printing done. I prefer having the cards printed before Thanksgiving!
Okay, back to my “to do” list for the day!
Hugs, Nani
It is unbelievable that only so few days are left till Christmas.
I really should go working on the gifts and parcels to send, will look through the gifts I have already, to see what I may still need. LOL
I just love the picture with the shed in the mist. A bit gloomy, but also mysterious. Perhaps a good texture over it will make it look even better. Anyway, it;s a good pic to play with that.
Have a great day
Hugs
Kyra
This is one of your best photos ever! You must print this for your house. Find a contest to enter it. Awesome is the only word to describe it!
Amazing views you get of the corn shed. The photo's almost look like they were painted!
