A Memory From The Past

June 29, 2015

Good morning.  It's cool and cloudy here in my little part of New England.  But tomorrow is supposed to bring more sunshine and warmer temps.  I surely hope so because I want to get out to do a couple errands.

Well, the rain slowed down to a fine mist late yesterday morning, and stayed that way for most of the day.  All our plants look a bit downtrodden but I'm sure they'll all be perking up again as soon as the sun comes out.

Yesterday, while trying to put some files on a DVD, my laptop started acting a bit hinky.  As soon as the files would start to burn onto the DVD, it would stop and a box would come up telling me that the write speed of the disc was either too slow or too fast for my DVD burner.  What?????   This very burner successfully burned some of these same files onto other DVD's from the same stack just a couple days ago.  I just don't understand technology these days.  I'll have to put in a call to Wayne to find out what is wrong.

I have a photo from the past that I thought I would share.  My first, third and fifth children are look alike girls.  They look just like me.  This photo could be either one of them.  But it is me, taken many moons ago at a Halloween party.  Note the beautiful one-eyed bunny on my lap.  He was a gift from my children, and even he had a good time at the party.

Every now and then, I love going through some of the older photos.  It's good to see the changes that have taken place over the years.  It's also wonderful to reflect on all the memories that each photo evokes.  (How's that for a great new word!!)

I also have a cute image that I borrowed from the web to share with you.  This is for all of us who found our fur babies at a shelter.

I'm looking out my window, and I'm seeing the sun shining down through the clouds.  Yeaaaaaah!!  It goes in and out, but it sure does feel good to see it.  It makes the day seem to be not do dreary.

Well, I want to get busy and do the laundry that never got done yesterday.  Funny how my plans change so quickly!  Then I have a potty patch grass that is wanting a bath.  Oh such fun stuff to keep me busy today!!  So, on that note, I'll take my leave.  Till tomorrow, Y'all have a fantabulous day.

Hugs, Edna B.

Awwe Edna,
What a great photo of you!! Don't you just love gifts from your children? My kids all made me beaded jewelry one year for Mother's Day and I wore it proudly for many years. Mainly on Mother's Day so that they would see that I really loved it.

Another sleepless night for me, but I did manage to get a few hours of much needed rest. Did you notice on my candy scrap page that I mis-spelled Ye Old Candy Shop? Yep I had some posts on Facebook that it should have been spelled Ye Olde Candy Shoppe! Ohhhh Well can't think of everything lol.

I am having a coffee now. Since I was late in waking up I didn't want more than a cup. Yes these are great little inventions! I made a scrap from one of the quick pages that you sent to me. The one with rain. I will put it on my blog a little later and send you a message so you can see it. I have a lot of nice compliments from it.

Going to run for now. I need to get busy but cant seem to get my body into motion. I am trying tho! Have a wonderful day! Hugs, Beth and Cisco. (He says to tell Pogo hello)! Beth and Cisco

My goodness, Edna, I love the old photo, so beautiful! You really haven't changed; gracefully added a few years but you look the same.

We have more rain coming very soon, but nothing like Saturday. David said most of the water in the basement was down, except for the corners and I'm waiting on a call when the basement folks are going to be here. Our pump stopped working. Overloaded?? And they are going to do whatever the warranty says to do. :)

I love the shelter pups! Kaline wasn't a shelter cat, but she was a rescue and I think she still thinks I'm her real mom. LOL

May we both stay dry!
Hugs, Nani

Now, that's a cute picture. What are the people behind you wearing?
Would you believe I have our little electric fireplace on. Not complaining about the rain and cool temps.
We are loving our new little guy. The boys play all the time.

You are such a beautiful lady, you still are, believe me, but some years ago you could go for modelling! and how lucky are your kids looking like you!!!
Hmmm, if only we could go back some years, (wishfull thinking), and may be change a few things we've done then but didn't work out quite right????

Loved the mails you sent me with the video and "advertisement"
And the one on your blog is hilarious too!
Weather looks to be lovely today, I will see how I plan my day( or shouldn't I plan at all???)
Have a wonderful day,
