Well, Hurricane Earl came and went during the night. We got some rain, other places got lots of wind and rain. The newspapers called Earl a "dud" but I say thank goodness. When a hurricane is coming your way, you are wise to prepare for the worst. You never know.
The new forum is experiencing a few problems with the download of the DD's, so for the time being, we will take turns posting them on our blogs. For Day 3, Day 4 and Day 5, you can go to Su's blog. We're sorry for the inconvenience, but we are working on the problem.
Last night, I finished up the color challenge for GDS. The colors were so much fun to work with. Here's my preview of "Harlequin." I hope you like it.

Next, I want to work on Kyra's Book Cover Challenge. This month we will be thinking up a scary story for Halloween. Mind you, the story and book are always completely fictional. But it's the creativity of it that I really like. Not only do you have to design the front and back covers for the book, but you have to invent the story too. I do believe that this is my favorite challenge. Next of course, comes the color challenge. That is number two on my list.

There isn't much news here. It's Labor Day weekend and folks everywhere are gathering for barbeques and "end of summer" parties. The kids are all back in school, and soon the cooler weather will be upon us.

I take that bit about the "no news" back. Yesterday, after my nap, I went out to get my newspaper and got a wonderful surprise. Because of my asthma, I have trouble with steps, especially if I am carrying something. So my son in law, Eddie, and grandson Bobby built me an extra step. This makes the step only half as high and so much easier for both me and Miss Tootsie to manage. Thank you, thank you Eddie and Bobby. It's only a short step, but it makes a huge difference for me and Tootsie.

Now I am off to maybe get dressed and enjoy a bottle of spring water. Till tomorrow, Y'all have a marvelous day.

Glad to hear "Earl" didn't cause any problems when I talked to Erik early this morning again. I was thinking of you all over there and hoped it would just pass by. That great that you have it easier with a new step now. Often little things can make so much of a difference. Wooweee - that Harlequin kit is really colourful-looks great. Hope you are all having a great Labour day -Hugs Snowy
It's a bit weird that there are now the problems with the dd downloadlinks. Hope it soon will be over. Glad Earl was in an easy mood!!And yes, sometimes a small step can be a BIG one for someone else. You have great guys around you!Oh whee, I am flattered that you like the bookcover challenge so much, But it is fun to work on it. I too must get that one done. Only, I first must make up a little story and then I can make the front cover. Have a lovely day, cuddle to Tootsie and greets to Moo.
Hugs
Kyra
